  1. No. If this was 2006-2007, then yes. But it's not. This game is not acceptable for an MMO released in 2011-2012 (it's still in a Beta form). Very disappointed.
  2. I feel that SWTOR was doomed by copying the 800 pound gorilla and expecting that to work. You can't copy a game that came out in 2004, not add the features they've added since 2007, and expect it to be successful long-term. SWTOR is in a lot of trouble. The game is just very dated with it's design. BioWare had no idea what they were doing when they made this MMO. They thought they could just take another game, make it Star Wars, add in story, and it would be a hit. But it doesn't work like that. From what I've seen of a few upcoming games, SWTOR is in a lot of trouble if they expect to keep their audience, especially the PvP players. I know I'll be looking elsewhere. I'm not sure what could keep this game alive at this point. It was broken in design from the start.
  3. Now when you buy Mercenary Commendations from the PvP vendor, you get a confirmation box every single time you make a purchase. This is just annoying. Once again, catering to the lowest common denominator. Could we please get a checkbox on this confirmation to not show it again. We know what we are doing, we get it, it's permanent, all sales are final, we don't need to see it. Thanks
  4. Exactly right. I have 50's on both sides and Empire has all the advantages. Republic are fighting an uphill battle. At this rate, there will be no more Republic and might as well call the game The Old Empire.
  5. Don't forget all the hacking going on in PvP that is ruining the game. It's not like customer service is doing anything to stop it. With so much client side, they would have to rewrite the code to fix these problems. This is the same thing causing the skill delay. It's all due to bad design and coding. You don't run an online game client side. That's just a hackers dream. But that's what we have in SWTOR. It's a mess.
  6. I noticed this too with Jedi Knight and Juggernauts I were leveling. At lower levels they were absolute beasts in PvP, often at the top of the damage charts. It's definitely kind of borked. But then so is all of the PvP. None of it is working right.
  7. It's an exploit. But so many things are killing PvP in this game. The amount of people using hacks is going up exponentially. So much is handled client side, it's ridiculous. I'm not even sure they can fix this stuff. SWTOR is the Titanic of MMO's. BioWare and EA are sipping their tea and listening to the music, because nothing could take down the Titanic.
  8. Show me a Sage that can do as much damage as a Sorc. There isn't one. Sorc's are able to melt away even the strongest tanks. Sages can't even come close to doing the same. The imbalances towards Empire in this game is ridiculous. You need to actually mirror this stuff, not just say it's that way yet the underlying numbers show differently. Elistist Jerks would rip you (BioWare) apart for the imbalances in the game. It's not even close.
  9. Population is dropping across the board because of all the problems. This game is just like so many others. All hype, but once you get over the initial honeymoon, you quickly realize that it isn't all that it pretended to be and you want a divorce. I'd be surprised if things last more than six months before it becomes another Warhammer Online. EA has a way with MMO's and not doing it right.
  10. What does a level 50 gain from attacking someone 20-25 levels lower? Nothing. This is called griefing. It's pathetic. So put in a system to punish those who grief other players. If someone attacks a player who is grey to them, they should lose a valor level. It would punish those who try to ruin the fun of others. It's just yet another major issue with the broken PvP in this game.
  11. Exactly. Every patch they take one step forward, two steps back. If they were really all about community, as they claim, they would have had community developed addon's. But that community stuff is just lies. The real issue is they lack the technology to compete with the other top MMO's and are sitting on 2006 technology and design.
  12. If only they wanted community built around this game. Then we'd have community made addon's which would fix all these problems. But this game is against community. It's all about BioWare control and EA profits.
