    Im not sure but I have heard a bit about the issue with warzone victories not counting. I have only had 2 experiences with it and with both I found a commonality, I still had the daily from the day before and I had it 1/3 complete. Not to question the stupidity of the people complaining but lots of stupid people play these games and most of the people ************ in MMOs are usually the baddies. It would not surprise me one bit that if after a few baddies made the same mistake I did they posted forum posts ************ then it became rumor that it was a bug and now before people even try to analyze the situation they jump on the forum and QQ. Hope this helps players rage less and devs. time to focus on real problems and not baddies being bad.
  2. So pvp kinda sucks. How do you think it should be? I will read your comments and edit this post with your ideas. I'll start with some obvious things I would like to see happen and add stuff I find on the forums that seems legit. Warzones: -more warzones -another you can play against your own faction -entry level player made BoE pvp gear -cross server Qs -a Q for premades only (4 & 8) -seperate the most geared from the least (2 brackets should do) -dual spec! -AWOL debuff for deserters -gearing system needs an overhaul -new gear models! - - Huttball - - - - Alderaan -take away the advantage the imps have with the turrets - - - Voidstar - - - - - Ilum: - - - - - World PvP - - - - - - Class Balances - - - - - -
  3. You seem mad so let me help. You earn the random pieces when you open the bag that has the Centurian Comms. So yes, you work your *** off for the cent piece but say it was the weapon as used in the OPs example at 72 cent comms if you got 3 per bag it would mean u open 24 but that is complete ******** because in 24 bags you would have gotten atleast 5-7 pieces of champ gear. So if you want to pvp, grind the WZs and save all your cent comms untill your almost geared and have enough comms to buy the last few things you need so your not spending the comms on stuff you will upgrade.
  4. Hi I have been grinding WZs and the WZ dailies for like 8-9 days now. When I figured out how gearing up worked I was a bit worried. At 1st I thought I got a random piece and it would take forever since I was thinking you might get doubles but from what I can tell it only gives you a piece of champ gear you don't already have but it will replace cent gear. Now it sux balls grinding until you get around 350-400 expertise and I think it would really help to have some player made entry level pvp gear but its not so bad once geared. My biggest problem now that I'm at 450 expertise is dealing with dumb ***** who don't seem like they know *** is going on and don't understand how to figure it out. 8-9 days is not bad at all for having all my pvp gear except 3 pieces compared to wow that's not bad at all.
  5. The idea is to reduce the difference between the most geared in a warzone and the least. I'm not saying remove the difference just modify it so the people at the bottom of the totem pole can at least feel like they are contributing to something other then losing. I think it could be done with 2-3 brackets but I would need to seriously look at the numbers. I am not suggesting that you should be in a warzone with players only at the same gear level just that you shouldn't have matches where one team is full battlemaster and the opposition has like 4-5 pieces of pvp gear on avg. This is a horrible situation when you only have 8 people total on your team. Premades are not really addressed here but they would at least have to face a pug of people close to their gear level. However I would like to see some kind of rated warzones but the trick would be to not offer better gear then warzones just a faster path to gearing up. This would diffuse premades and pull them out of the regular Q. If you cant see how it could help it makes me think you have limited experience in MMO pvp.
  6. its easy actually. you just need each piece of gear to have a rating then you have the match making system look at each persons total gear rating and place them in the proper bracket. the toughest part is fine tuning the system to make sure you dont have a huge diffence on lower and upper ends of a bracket and still have enough players to keep the Q flowing.

  8. As i mentioned all you need to do is make warzones cross server then just make sure you have enough servers in each pool to keep Qs flowing, its not fucin brain science. How bout you slow down, read and think about what was said before you troll.

  10. All im saying is to have players play against other players of similar gear. what is the problem with that? I know it might scare you guys that you would no longer be able to faceroll through pvp. I pvp to compete and getting slaughtered or facerolling a team is not. Also, what difference does it make to point out healers if healers cant keep up with the dmg output because the person getting burned has little to no pvp gear and those attacking him are stacked?

    They need to just add the option to Q as a premade against other premades to give the more hardcore pvp players a challenge. Make it so you Q across a bunch of servers and bam, you could have something cool.

  14. my point exactly, all im saying is segregate players based on gear so we actually compete instead of bashing our head on a wall or slaughtering the other team and waiting for the next warzone.
  15. bother to read? I'm guessing not and your just trolling but I'll respond to you anyways. What I'm suggesting is that you play against players who have around the same amount of gear as you, might seem scary that you cant just out gear your opposition but it will make for better play and better players.
  16. I play a Sage on The Harbinger server and the problem we seem to have is the Imperials just out gear us almost every battle. The difference between a team of fully champ+ geared Imps vs a half *** geared republic team is vast(like 6 ppl go to the middle in alderaan and are dead with in the CD of my stun). We can gear up but it takes longer and we have to do so while being punched in the face over and over and over while only being able to slap our opposition like a girl (a girly girl). All I would like to see is a matchmaking system that takes gear into account. Problem then would be long Q times but that is solved by having matchmaking pool players from a bunch of servers. Some entry level pvp gear would also be nice, player made gear and mods/enhancements would be cool but anything would be nice. These seem like easy fixes and it makes me wounder about the people who tested pvp and the people listening to them. Nothing innovative here at all and I bet if I wanted to look these ideas are all over the forums. I would love to hear an explanation of why Bioware thought that the pvp system as is would lead to fun game-play on each side when you have an environment where the most geared wins every time. I was fortunate enough to get a bit of gear before things went into the only 50 brackets but at 230 expertise I get stomped regularly 1v1 and it is because after unloading weaken mind, project, tele throw and tele wave they still have 95% health and in the same time i have lost 1/4 - 1/3 of my health. Even those of us who love mmo pvp and know once we get geared it will be better are not going to put up with that for very long, wheres the fun? TL;DR play republic, out geared heavily by imps, fix matchmaking

  18. I played WoW for like 6 years and pvp was my 1st love in that game. I was hoping I would find that love again in this game but alas I have not seen it yet. I want it and your going to give it to me and in order to see my love again I am willing to help you. Ilum is not a fun for republic on my server ( the harbinger) granted many of the players are horrible. Imps camp the middle en mass and farm crates while waiting for republic players to wander in to swarm them 10-1. The few times I have gone to Ilum with intentions of pvp it did not go that bad but I also made a Ops group to match the zerg swarm the imps had pushed them from the middle and camped it doing the same thing they had been doing to us. It was kinda fun but alot of effort, the solution is simple: 1. spread the crates around the entire zone then make the pvp quest 2 quests, 1 for kills 1 for crates and lower the amount needed. 2. more quests! one I can think off the top of my head is one to capture the control points and make the rewards something pvp players will desire. 3. the command points must provide something valuable to pvp players but not buff them. one idea I have had and really like flys in the face of the "do not buff them" but it would be bad ***. them vehicles at each capture point, yeah capture a point and you get access to 1-3 of the vehicles which should be heavily armed and only destroyed by rocket launchers which you would have to pick up and have limited ammo carrying capacity. 4. If your aim was to have an area where massive pvp battle occur I like these 2 approaches 1 is to place a quest hub somewhere (usually the middle) person who controls X get extra quests 2 place a flashpoint or operation somewhere and if you control X your team gets access to it. 1&2 will diffuse the center command point and force combat across the entire zone not just the center 3&4 will force big battles this should make things flow instead of just being stagnant. tl;dr 160000+ player kills in wow. want to help tor pvp. Ilum fixes: spread crates across the entire zone, add more quest, make the command points worth capturing, add some kind of WSG element where your side gets a Operation or something for completing X in Ilum.

I'm not sure if that is due to the Sith having been more active in pvp or exploiting it or both but its frustrating to a point that even though i never post on game forums (5years in wow 0 forum posts) here I am, ************ about pvp having just come from a crushing defeat on Alderaan. I love the idea of pvp in a MMO but whats the point if the avg. life expectancy of everyone on my team is like 1 min. Say what you will about world of warcraft, battlegrounds kicked *** I still remember my 1st grinds in Alteric valley fighting my way to SP then across the bridge into Dun Baldir. Know what I remember about star wars pvp? Getting rolled hard by the opposition and i cant do **** about it. So please see the steps above and get on it Devs. Not sure about the rest of you but if things dont change I'm heading back to wow for some solid pvp, with the right enchantment anything can look like a lightsaber.
  24. I see a simple solution, rank Warzones by gear rating and valor rank and make it so you Q with people from a bunch of different servers. problem solved
