  1. This happened to my wife as well- and she then subscribed and she is now lvl59.
  2. Thanks for the reply it explained alot. I was wondering why both my jedi and bh had no expertise on any of the mods, I thought I had lost them lol. Both are war hero, so tyvm it helped alot. Does wz coms still cap at 2750?
  3. Ive just returned after 6-7 months of not playing. When I logged on my lvl 50 toon I wanted to see all the changes and noticed alot. 1st was pvp gear... is there a vendor/gear for 50-55 ? 2nd was no ranked wz's or am I missing something? 3rd was all the new content.... Not sure where to start? Any help or guidance on all the changes would be appreciated

  5. I also bought this game as an mmo, not a console game with map packs that cost a monthly fee... As well the devs advertised this as a game to appease both pvers and pvpers.... To those who said pvpers take games too seriously, no.... We take our money seriously.... If im going to pay for a game or any product it has to be satisfying... Swtor is satisfying but becomes stale at level cap.... Even on the pve side, running the same ops fps over and over gets boring, that is why some sandbox elements would eleviate devs from having to generate constant content, because sandbox leaves it open to the player, creating their own content
  6. Wow i find it funny the hatred pvers have towards pvpers.... If you take out the "tiny" amount of pvp this game has, this game would die so fast... No matter how much you pvers hate pvp, without pvp this game is nothing more than a single player console game with co op mode that you pay $15 a month for... Makes no sense... And to those saying pvpers whinning over no content for 4,5,6,7,8,9 weeks, no one has complained over that time frame, its been over 4 months for content as well 6 months ago they said owpvp was being worked on... I could care less if my toon can smile or frown, nor do ops,fps interest me.... 4 wzs is the only source of pvp (enjoyment for me) we have and it gets old playing them over and over... I feel ya op
  7. Good point, forgot to mention that and the ability to switch between those specs anytime
  8. Assuming u know what a rift is: Pvp rifts Raid rifts Conquest Expert dungeons Pvp dailies which create owpvp Owpvp (isnt a whole lot right now but is consistent) Warfronts Endgame crafting Crafting rifts Not to include the new expansion getting ready to drop that is 3xs the amount of existing content which also adds player housing
  9. Sorry, gcw was galactic civil war: faction points/tokens and planetary points for enemy faction kills both npc or players and total control over the galaxy.... You could log on to swg and be in mos eisley and at that moment it was imperial controlled with imperial npcs roaming and patrolling then it could quickly change to rebel controlled coz rebel players were racking up planetary points from killing npc and players.... Guild wars: guilds could declare war on each other in be in constant state of war, and invade guild cities in which the guilds had built defenses. Bounty hunting: everytime a player was kilked by another player you had the option to place a bounty on the player, then another player could get the bounty of a terminal and hunt that player for pay. There were bases that were aligned to the factions and players would raid those bases destroying them thus uping their control over the galaxy. City invasions: every 3 hours a city was invaded by enemy npcs and your faction would be asked to defend or attack said city which was a pve/pvp event that happened like i said every 3 hours. Not to mention items decayed making crafters important.... There was plenty to do in swg
  10. I cant say anythibg about wow since i dont play it, but i can speak of end game of swtor, rift and swg.... Swtor is over once youre geared out unless you like running the same ops/fps/wzs that you ran to get geared out... Rift the game actually starts at level 50, so much to do its overwhelming and can leave a player confused on where to start... Swg was a end game focused game.... Once you were geared out is when the real fun began, owpvp was every, gcw, guild wars, bounty hunting, factional base raids, city invasions, space pvp and the list goes on.... And we didnt have to wait for a que to put together a group, as soon as i logged on there were many group invites coz there was always a battle going on somewhere.... I love swtor but i havent played in over a month coz i have nothing to do
  11. i agree 100%.... And if swtor added something like the gcw/owpvp this game would dominate
  12. Three months ago in a q&a, gabe answered my question about open world pvp and its future... He said they were working on it and coming soon.... Is there anything in 1.4 for pvpers? Or must we wait til january?
  13. Swtors combat mechanics and animations are far more superior, but swgs pvp existed in the form of open world and could be found everywhere, gcw gave meaning to pvp, as well no divide between class or gear... I would take inferior combat mechanics and animation and viable owpvp over great mechanics, animation and instanced map packs any day
  14. I agree with you Itstoof, except the part about swg not having story... Episode 4 and 5 are the story in swg and we lived in it.... The major difference between swtor and swg is swtor made the story for the players and every players story is the same, like 2 people who play bounty hunters, their story is no different than the other bounty hunters, but in swg your toon lived in the story of eps 4-5 and you made your own unique story within the story.. Also all those saying "if swg was such a better game why does swtor have more subs?".... Simple... When swg came out mmos were still in infancy, as well swg didnt hype or market no where near what swtor did... Also swg was a much more complex and in depth game than swtor.... But just coz swtor has more subs doesnt make it a better game.... Mcdonalds sells more burgers than any other burger joint, but theyre not the best burger... More sells doesnt imply better product, just better marketing... Dont get me wrong, i love swtor for what it is, a single player game with co op options and a map pack for pvp, just like gears of war, call of duty etc.... The leveling is fun, combat is awesome, the story amazing, and then its done... And in swg it was never over... So many aspects of the game i never did in the 8 years i played.... Games like swtor require devs to constantly chug out content, but in swg the content was player created.... Also to all those who have said why would anyone want to sit in a cantina to buff, well it was a social activity, and right now, all most do is sit on fleet waiting for a fp pr wz to pop... In swg, i could find a 10+ group in less than 5 mins any time of the day, and we didnt have group finder, pvp, was everywhere and constant, no seperation between pve and pvp, crafting had purpose... Point is swtor is good, a great game to play, swg was a living breathing world that i was unique in, my actions mattered and changed that world...

  16. wow, i cant believe someone asked this question... god forbid a player target you in a pvp/wz and try to kill you over and over.... what an a hole for trying to kill you in a wz.... id report him: bioware a player keeps targeting me and killing me in a wz, could you please ban his account so i can enjoy my pvp experience... hahahahahaha
  17. 500 planets by 2025? who really thinks this game will be going in 2025?
  18. i dont think swg stlye housing really matters, just some kind of housing.. the whole housing issue doesnt matter to me, but alot want it and alot dead set against it.... me personally, i didnt mind the littered landscape, but if that is the only issue either make housing like rift- instanced or make our ships housing like others have already said but give us the freedom to fully customize them. just to clarify to you, i dont claim swg failed, just quoting others opinion. i believe swg financially was a sucess and i loved the game the only juvenile insults i made were to myself- swg vet, whinny pvper, sandbox lover etc were all in reference to me and my gameplay style couldnt agree with you more my point is simple- there are things some of us want and others dont- i mean pvers want more ops and fps, pvpers want more pvp and not only in a wz... this game is for both players- if they want to add content that i dont play im not going to complain that its using resources that pull from the type of content that i want.... the devs have made it clear that they are trying to make a game for both pvers and pvpers Gabe Amatangelo me personally id like to see something similar to swg's gcw- alternating city invasions every couple of hours.... like korriban is being attacked by the republic-imperial npc's start building defensives while republic forces start invading then all players would get a holo call telling of the situation and calling to arms defend/invade... at that point you take the quest or not- players could choose to not be flagged pvp, that way the pvers could participate if they didnt want the pvp aspect of it... it would kinda be like a flashpoint warzone with story etc, with rewards that were factional- ie speeders with rrepublic symbol, armor shells with imperial symbol.... but on a regular rotation of like every 3 hours- if a game as inferior as swg can do it then so could this game and it would keep me subbed coz you get open world pvp, with objectives and rewards etc
  19. Same here, ill stayed subbed and keep my fingers crossed based off that one line... Thanks for posting op... Finally good news
  20. Look, most of us still love this game.... But i trully do see an empire divided.... You have people who love the game and dont want one thing changed to the game be it positive or negative, then there are those of us who love the game but have become bored with the lack of content and things to do at level cap... Those that want no changes get angry at the idea of any major changes, calling us whinny pvpers etc... But they are wrong, were not asking for major changes, not changes at all, we are simply asking to add things to the already existing game structure.... But some fear that it would ruin the core of the existing game, which makes no sense.... Like putting a cd player in a car would change how fast it went, or how many mpg it got... Its just ludicrous. From what ive been told is this game does not belong to swg vets, pvpers, or sandbox lovers... We are a minority not deserving of playing this game... Whats odd is the pvers in this game troll, fight, insult and show pure hate to us, all the while we are making suggestions to better swtor... Can a developer make all happy? No! And will adding certain things be loved by the whole player base? No! But no one expects that, nor should they... Ive seen all the threads of what alot of us want and the arguments against them... Most of the arguments against are ridiculous and backed only by ones own bias... Id like a civil discussion for/against things we all wish to have added, that we feel would better the game. Id really like bioware to add an in game poll/survey to go off of... 1. Adding owpvp of any kind.... The argument against is that it takes resources from the true focus of the game, pve content.... But thats not true sense there is a whole team dedicated to the pvp aspect of the game.. 2. Player housing.... Argument against is itd litter the landscape and eventually turn into ghost towns... Dumbest thing i ever heard... I played swg for 8 years and while yes there were houses/cities everywhere, it wasnt a problem... What game is there that u run around in that there isnt anything there littering the landscape... As far as ghost towns, why would that matter? Its no different that most cities in swtor now... 3. In depth crafting and crafted item better than grinded items... Argument against is they dont want to make a bunch of money to spend it on repeat business... How stupid is this argument... U grind wz comms now, or pve crystals to get best gear from a vendor, no different than buying from a player, as well creds are practically worthless in swtor, so why not spend it 3. Jtl like space.... Havent really seen a argument against, other than no one wants this to be swg2, and stop trying to nge swtor, which has also been said for all the things above as well. Look space needs something, astroids and galaga is better than this.. 4.minigames like pazak, swoop racing etc.... All things that would add to this game, and have no clue why anyone who loves this game, whether pver or pvper would be against anything that could potentially make it better. I know alot will say stop trying to make swtor into swg2, ir get over swg its a dead game that failed miserably... But thats just ignorance at its best... All any of us want is this game to succeed and we all have our ideas and id never knock any idea even if i didnt like it simply coz if it were ever implemented i just wouldnt play that aspect of the game... I just dont want to see this game die like swg, but i havent logged in in 3 weeks now coz having 3 lvl 50 2 of which are maxed out in fully augd wh gear and over valor rank 80, im bored plain and simple. And the things some of us worthless swg vets, whinny pvpers, and stupi sandbox lovers want are things that would keep us here playing and paying, which is the goal right? So one thing that is desperately needed in this game right now that swg had and rift currently has, and it takes no dev resources away from the core game and its free is community... We are all on the same team, still hanging onto a game that isnt doing so hot... But this community is the absolute most negative hateful group ive ever been a part of... Dont say its the nature of the forums in mmos coz ive been playing mmos for over 10 years, and while yes they all have it, none to the degree swtor has.... With that said, im still here paying, but playing rift til swtor does something to save this game... Very hard to type this on my phone while driving, so sorry about grammatical errors, i know the comma/spelling police will be out in force lol
  21. well i semi agree with you.... but swg did have daily pvp events every 3 hours or so.... one of 3 cities would be invaded by one of the factions and a call to arms would go out to all players to invade or defend the particular city..... players could choose to flag theirself for pvp or not- and they still got the rewards of the invasion. it was a pve/pvp event... would be nice in swtor and would keep me subbing
  22. i cant understand why people are so against having some of swg's best features added to this game? everyone saying "we dont want swg 2"....but no one has said that-some just want added features from swg.... i dont really see the problem with that- if they added any of those features and you dont like them, then you dont have to use them... I dont do ops or fps, cause im not into them, no big deal... i mean from what i read, anyone who liked swg is an idiot and not a real gamer and swtor isnt our game- but it is your? hmmmm.... reading these forums i came up with the best possible solution for everyone: JUST GET RID OF PVP!! its that simple... 1.by doing so all the pvers who are so against pvp/swg features/sandbox and say that its a strictly pve game, could then trully call it your game and the devs could focus all their energy into pve only 2. all the pvpers would leave thus saving them the $15 a month they currently pay for a single player game and they wouldnt be on here whinning about owpvp/rvr etc 3. then the game would eventually fail cause no one would continue to pay a monthly sub for a single player experience...
