Please help clarify how to fully benefit from the event. I just realized by starting a LvD Event DS Consular (although it is a new story alignment for me) I already have a DS LvD event character started... which is not what I wanted, haha.

I really haven't had any consistent lag problems, but the load times especially between planets or just signing into the game the first time are ridiculously long.

DS or LS, which one do you prefer if you've done both?

To fully benefit from this event you would have to play both a DS and LS character (any class) and get through all 3 chapters and KOTFE? Does that earn everything? Do you have to do SoR, Makeb, or anything else like that?

Can you elaborate? What are you referring to? It sounds like rewards? species rewards? What chars did you do? Im considering the DS consular.

For most of it, especially now since being full one side or the other is pointless I do a mixed, or easier route, but I know their are LvD achievements for getting L5 and D5. I am not really doing anything other than story quests though, and those choices tend to be more significant than your examples in my experience.

So I've played through all but 2 class stories (smuggler and trooper which are in progress) and I want to make some characters for the LvD event, but obviously want to alter the experience as much as possible by exploring the opposite side's choices from what I did previously. I know they don't have much of an affect, but certainly some of them are cooler than others. I was hoping to get your opinions on your favorite side for each class, and maybe compare with what I have done to decide which story I should repeat and see the opposite alignment story. My first LvD character is a DS JK since I have a LS JK and was curious about how those choices would play out. I did have a LS Warrior I started before this event, but I really wanted to romance Jaesa which I forgot about is only DS, and unfortunately my DS Warrior was female so that wasn't an option. Lol I hear that, do you bother with the planetary main (non-class story) missions?

I feel like the leveling is easy enough to not bother with any extra quests, let alone heroics for experience. And the game is easy enough to get by with the gear given throughout the story. But I can see how some would bother with them.

Just to clarify, when you say endgame gear, I am referring to the best rating wise, which I thought is 220/224, is that right? EV and KP yield those ratings of gear? Problem with that though is finding an OP is probably really difficult at this point. It is unfortunate that the alliance crates are only obtainable after 60. Since theyre not I see no point in doing them in lower level characters. I thought maxing alliance specialist influence can yield more companions? What level do you need to have all the alerts available? I guess the primary reason for doing KOTFE over again would be to learn more and see what happens when you embrace Valkorion since I did LS first. Even though as stated it has no actual bearing on story progression.

First off, I appreciate any responses and answers to my questions, sorry it is sort of all over the place, but thanks for taking the time to read. So I just finished my first run of KOTFE with a LS JK. I enjoyed it, and while it answered some questions, there are a lot more questions now which I hope and will attempt to patiently await to be addressed in KOTET (whats the ETA for this?) Now my JK is my only lvl 65 character. I am curious about exploring KOTFE from a Dark side force user perspective as well as a non-force user. My gut was telling me just use my favorite, since I am assuming aside from companions, the actual class of the character doesn't influence story besides being force/non-force. Is that a reasonable assumption? Another question is what to focus on outside of stories. The end-game content is pretty much dead, especially in terms of pvp. I am kind of an achievement whore, unfortunately this game has so many and a lot are monotonous that I don't really want to embrace them unless their is a dual-benefit (such as gaining influence with the 4 unit leaders in the alliance through heroic rewards). Maxing these influences out takes a bit of grinding, and unfortunately only sticks to one character (should be acct wide IMO) so I also need to decide who I want to max these out, since it is unlikely I will commit to getting those packages for more than 1 toon. Therefore is it a good idea to pick one toon to do this on, that I may consider my main? I would lead toward my JK as it stands since I have already put a lot of effort into him, but it sucks because he is a pub and the pub sides of all servers are abysmal. Regarding JK story, I am really wanting to reunite with Kira, and am desperately hoping this will occur in KOTET, is there any word on that? I still have 2 regular class stories to complete, which I will continue to work on. And finally, how do you acquire end-game gear? Is that all through farming crystals? If so, what are the best most efficient ways to do that, and if not, what is it acquired through? Thank you so much for your help and time reading this.

Thank you for those two posts, ultimately confirming what I thought was happening, but was hoping was not the case and I had missed something. Shame on Bioware for allowing this and not rectifying it in the immediate future.

I want to play on my computer monitor and do sound through my headphones while streaming tv/sound through my TV. Is there any way to do this? I remember in the past SWTOR wouldnt change to the current default device once opened so that was a potential workaround but it doesn't seem to do that any more unfortunately...

So I bought the only hypercrate thats 30% off at the moment. There are only like 5 hypercrates on the AH at the moment. What is an older rare one that might fetch a pretty penny if its the only one on the AH?

First let me say I just started Ch. 10 so if any of this is further explained later, please just say that and I will be patient and return afterward. I am hoping for some clarification on what we know and what is speculation in terms of the emperor and his story. I have asked two places, one in my guild, and only one guildmate agreed with me and said it was a plothole, another I only got 1 responder and he took a completely different approach. I will copy+paste my questions, and his responses so I can get some clarification on whether he is right, or what the actual situation is. I think a few of his statements are off-base but maybe I missed things/clues in the dialogues. what is with the dichotomous attitudes of Valkorion? Is it just a plothole? Also is Valkorion's original body the one seen as the emperor of Zakuul? And why did they change voice actors? (His incorporeal form in SOR should have remained the same for consistencies sake) First response: "Valkorian was a self absorbed ruler who paid no attention to his kids. When he met Senya he was acting as himself. Just as Senya said. His attitude chaged when the kids were born. I imagine The "Emperor" took over Valkorian after that. Vitiate was actually training Thexan and Arkaan. When Arkaan killed Thexan, it was a "survival of the fittest" moment.." My follow-up: I really don't understand what you're saying. But my understanding is that Valkorion/Vitiate are the same person, and are both the emperor. And along that line of reasoning the emperor had a family moving in Zakuul and was splitting time between there and the republic/empire space. Its just that this emperor (the one we are assuming was back and forth between both societies) was a good ruler to Zakuul, and completely evil and life-force sucking/universe threatening on Yavin4moon and Ziost. A completely different set of motives and actions (not to mention voice) Then we finally meet him as the outlander and He acts as though he has had some great epiphany (to explain the change) but it doesn't explain why he was a certain way in zakuul but completely different in sith/pub space. 2nd response: "Yes. Valkorian was a normal person. Possibly not even force sensitive. kind, caring, etc. Senya caught his eye. They fell in love, etc. Valkorian & Snya had Thexan, Arkaan & Vaylan. Vitiate (The Emperor) saw that they were force sensitive at an early age.(possibly due to Senya's genetics) He then posessed Vakorian, raised/trained the kids. Senya left, Vailen resented it. The whole Thexan/Arkaan thing happened. The Outlander kills Valkorian/Vitiate. Vitiate was splitting time between the Ziost thing and Wild Space thing. When Ziost was destroyed he focused full time on the Zakuul stuff. Revan was released and the FPs happened. SOR was Revan trying to stop Vitiate. But his madness was in control of his "Jedi" side. Vitiate was just there to take credit for what Revan had done. The reason Vitiate/Valkorian sounds different from SOR was because he was speaking through Valkorian. He was NOT speaking through Revan. When we hear him at the end of SOR, he was speaking in his own voice." My follow-up: Why would he have to speak "through" valkorion, when the outlander knows it is the emperor at that point? Also when is it explained that "Valkorian was a normal person"? 3rd response: In Senya's speech in one of the chapters. if you're in Chapt 10, it may be in one of the later chapters My follow-up: I did have a conversation with her before returning to Zakuul where she implied he was a decent man but nothing about being normal/ non-force sensitive, but maybe there is a later one 4th response: Him being non-force sensitive is speculation on my part. We never saw Valkorian pre-posession.

The struggle is the opening of packs is so exciting even if the odds are not in my favor. Reminiscent of my Yugioh pack purchasing days as well as current days in Hearthstone packs. Certainly its a poor choice though. Maybe Ill open one sell the other.

Unfortunately on that note, I have the max amount of characters and besides maybe 1 or two their normal bag inventory has been individually paid for and probably at least one cargo storage. Is it prorated at this point? Now I just assumed it was a waste of cartel coins to spend for account wide since I cant make any more characters for the most part.
