  1. +1 to this. Awesome that this never got hijacked and dumped on! There is hope for humanity after all. Well, until my Sorc (his name is Cheezy Poofs, you have been warned) gets ahold of them, but that's another story...
  2. Awesome! Learn something new every day,! Thanks for this, I've just been rebuilding that cover bar for 5 years. LOL
  3. The cover bar will always come up when you enter cover, I believe. However, all you have to do is open your abilities window (hotkey P) and rearrange or drag your abilities on to the bar to match how you have it out of cover. That's how I do it anyway. That way, it looks exactly the same.
  4. The agent story line is my absolute favorite. It is the story that changed the entire way I play the game, and how I approach each decision. Every class has some great snark lines, you just have to play them multiple times and choose different options to see them sometimes. With that said, I just created a new smuggler to try a spec I've never really played, so along with Catnip N'Claws, if you see Johnny Glitterati out and about, feel free to point and laugh.
  5. There hasn't really been a class story itself that I've been conflicted with. When I've hit that sort of inner conflict is when I've set out to step out of my comfort zone and play a toon they way I normally wouldn't. IE: Full dark consular, or full light sorc. Going full dark, there are times I've had to cringe to make the choice and force myself to do it. However, I'm glad that I did, as I experienced things in the game I never would have. There IS a choice in KOTET expansion that I am still smarting over, but that's for another thread as I don't want have spoilers from it.
  6. My first PvP match I was all sorts of proud of myself that I got a bunch of achievements (also on a sorc). Still not sure if it was the button mashing, or I sneezed and hit the right ability by accident without knowing it.
  7. Seeing even more people posting here warms my heart, what little of it is left. Thanks OP for starting a very pleasant thread that allowed us all to meet each other in the virtual world of the forums! Pleasure to have read all your posts here everyone, and maybe we'll all bump into each other in the game! Now...Off I go to spread Mischief and Mayhem throughout Shadowlands, and maybe a little glitter. I can haz Unicorn mount?
  8. LOL! I'm glad I'm not the only one who does this. It's like... noooo wait, come back...
  9. I chose Vette, and for one reason: The chapter of KOTFE where you fight with the Mandolorians, he fires knowing there is a group still in the area about to be pummeled, and when you ask he says "we are Mandolarians, there is no decision." So, for the way my mind works, knowing how a Mando would feel about it, it would almost be an insult to him to rescue him instead of Vette. Just the way I look at it.
  10. I loaded into it once, but I am not sure I even finished. I may give it another go, but at the time it was very jarring the difference between the main game and launching into that. Now that I've done more of the original game, I may give it another look.
  11. What a great thread to come across today! Such a change from the doom and gloom, and seeing so many people who play the way I tend to. And, another Shadowlander here, so hello to all!! I tend to be that solo person too. I have been lurking around since the beta weekends, taken a break for several months a few years back, but always find my way back here. SWTOR just seems to be my gaming home. I have gone through phases of wanting group content, joined some guilds when I was in that mood, given it a shot, and just found that I always seem to be the one holding people up since, like others here, I like to take in the scenery so to speak, and that first "HIT THE SPACE BAR" instantly turns me off. I have done KOTFE a few times, and KOTET on 2. I love both stories, but since it's no longer all separate class missions, I just can't bring myself to do it over, and over again, back-to-back all at once. I WILL bring all my alts through it at some point, but with breaks going back to the original game and story lines. Anyway, my point in posting, a friend and I have a guild on Shadowlands that is just the two of us. It's there just to park our alts in, get a little XP bonus, and have the guild bank. I know, we are HARDCORE! LOL If anyone would like to join just to have a spot, there no requirements, and never will be. Well, I take that back, there will always be one requirement: Be nice to each other. We are Mischief and Mayhem on Pub side and More Mischief and Mayhem on the Imp side. I do not post here to recruit to grow the guild, it's just been us (with 2 friend's alts) for a very long time. But, to offer fellow casuals and slow-buffers a place if you'd like it. What I tend to do, when I hit the mood for group content is move 1 character into a guild just for that purpose, leaving the bulk of my toons in the quiet guild. Anyway, thanks for a thread that made me smile today! Enjoy gaming on!
  12. Since it seemed people were still getting them after I posted yesterday, I figured I'd wait and see what happened and hope they would come in later in the day. Nope. So, login for a few weeks, see a targeted promo, never lapsed subscription, gotten all other sub rewards, and now still not getting the 500 CC. Is this the end of the world? No. However, I think it's time now that BW steps up and actually says they screwed up, and not blame it on the players. From now on, when I see a targeted promotion, I'm going to screenshot it so I have proof.
  13. Had the offer in my launcher for a while before July 7, and just like many, no Cartel Coins added to my account today. Color me not surprised.
  14. Greetings fellow SWTOR aficionados... Yes, it's another thread about another new guild. There are so many guilds out there that specialize in this and that, and are very good at what they do. So, we are not looking to shoot down any guilds for the niche they fill, nor are we trying to compete. We are sort of trying a different approach of just being the guild where people can "be," with no time requirements and such; A place where people can try new parts of the game without feeling pressured to be the best. We do not seek to be the largest, or the best, guild on the server. We are in no rush to get a guild ship, as we feel it's more important to develop a comfortable community than jump right into lofty goals causing members to grind and burn out within a month or two. With that said, here are a few things we are not: *If you are a hardcore progression raider, this is probably not the guild for you. You rock, and there are guilds who need you! *If you are a hardcore PvPer, same as above. Probably not for you. *If you feel that level 50s getting boosted to level 60 content makes them inferior players, and are going to whine about it for hours, we are definitely not the guild for you! *If you are one of those players who has the habit of screaming (or typing ) "spacebar spacebar!", again, we are not the guild for you (seriously, if you are that bored waiting for someone to watch the cut-scene, go watch youtube for a minute or something). We envision a community where people realize that a game is just that, a game. People who realize that it should be fun and not a chore, who can come in and engage in some tomfoolery without getting stressed. If one of the above describes you, and you are still looking for something different, AND you are willing to run at the speed of the tortoise instead of the hare, maybe we are for you after all. We will always move at the speed of the entire group. What does this mean you ask? If there is someone brand new, never done the content we are doing, yup, we move at their speed. Or, if there is someone who likes to explore a map from corner to corner, that's the speed we move at too. This doesn't mean we always go slow, but we adjust according to the players making up the group. If you have limited time, and need to rush, just ask the group AHEAD of time if they are willing to accommodate you for that run (funny how communication works!). Feel free to send me a PM here if you have questions, or search us in game (Mischief and Mayhem on Pub, More Mischief and Mayhem on Imp), we'd be glad to chat and answer questions. Please be patient as we are literally just getting this off the ground this week. You can also check out our Website for more information. Again, this will be tweaked and changed dramatically as we grow and get more feedback and expertise! No matter where you end up, just HAVE FUN and enjoy the game!
  15. For me, it's not about the size of the population, but the quality. Yes, if all you want are bodies, Harbinger is your best bet. But, that doesn't mean you will enjoy it. I'd search out all the recruitment threads on the servers you are considering and see if you find a guild that suits your tastes. As I said to someone else in another thread, I'd rather be with a smaller group of people I enjoy than to be with a huge number of people I don't mesh with. I wish you luck in your search for a new home!
  16. Honestly, if you are looking only for bodies, Harbinger is probably your best bet in some ways. However, it's all in what you want from a server and then game. Personally, I'd check out recruitment threads on all the servers you are considering and see if you find a good fit for a guild to ally with, and see the type of groups already there. For me, I'd rather be with a smaller group of people I really enjoy, than be on a heavily populated server with people I don't mesh with. Good luck in your search!
