  1. I was mostly stating the different things that it could reduce solely because the poster I responded to was being a *******. But you are most likely correct. But that goes back to my original thought that I don't really think there's an armor pen stat in the game on armor. Unless it's in pvp, which I admittedly know nothing about.
  2. Instead of coming in here insulting people, maybe you could accurately explain exactly what the stat does so that you're actually helping. I haven't planted any seeds of false information. When I posted that, I was logged out of game, browsing the forums before I left to go get dinner. I wasn't entirely sure of what exactly the stat did past 100%. Mousing over it now, I see that it reduces enemy's defenses. What exactly that means is still up to speculation, because that's all it says. Does it reduce their defense chance? Does it reduce their armor? Maybe it reduces their chance to shield? Or it could even reduce their chance to resist internal or elemental damage. Maybe you can answer that O Lord of SWTOR. Are people really too dumb/lazy to spend a few minutes of their time to help someone that they have to resort to insults? What is wrong with people that play this game indeed.
  3. I played a guardian tank and I hit like a wet sponge. I switched to guardian dps and HOLY **** things blew up faster than they did on my Merc BH. So far I love both. I wish there was dual spec. But anyone that tells me that I can't dps as a guardian can shove it. Anywho, for HM I don't know too much about, but in regards to rotation, I usually put on plasma brand last, and by the time I do that, all the other stuff is off CD, and I can build my focus and rotate through my CDs without ever having too much focus buildup or having to burn focus on slash or cyclone slash. I hit sweep whenever it's up and I have no other big CDs hits to pop. Defensive CDs when I'm dying, etc. If you can, try to hover at around 5-7 focus. It seems to work best for me in making sure I have enough to hit my focus using skills. I don't honestly think there's a set rotation. More of a priority rotation and hitting whatever is up at a time depending on your focus levels. EDIT: I spent too much time tanking and forgot about Master Strike. On enemies that are elite or higher I tend to use it on CD. Which with the overhead strike instant refresh talent for master strike, it can be up a lot.
  4. Well for guardian tanks, it's a critical skill to use, because it boosts our defense. That's why it sucks for me. And I can see where in PVP it's a horrible bug cause you have to interrupt casters, but can't effectively do that if the interrupt causes a GCD.
  5. I don't think there's actually an armor pen stat on any gear. At least none that I've seen. On pvp gear maybe, but I haven't seen it on any pve gear. Either way, accuracy past 100% actually lowers the enemy's defenses, so I think it has armor pen baked into it if you get it past 100% accuracy. Not entirely sure though. Could just lower their dodge/parry/reflect chance.
  6. They're all good stats, but I'd say that power is most important, cause that's just straight up damage. Now, I don't know if there's any talents or skills based on crit, but if not, then I'd say the stat weights are: Str > Accuracy (Up to 100% for both melee and force accuracy) > Power > Accuracy = Crit = Surge I'd say Alaclarity is pointless when all guardian skills are instant cast.
  7. Well crap, so it's not just Riposte? Well, hopefully this can drive a little bit of awareness if we get enough people pointing out that the bug exists. It's been driving me insane lately trying to hit all my spells and only being able to hit half cause Riposte keeps causing GCDs.
  8. If it doesn't respect the GCD, and can be used individually of it, I can't imagine why it would trigger it. This bug only happens sometimes, and normally it doesn't trigger a GCD, that's why I find it odd.
  9. When I use Riposte, which should be able to be used off GCD, I'm able to. But if I use Riposte when no other spells have recently been used, Riposte triggers a GCD, which it shouldn't be doing. Is anyone else having this bug, or am I the only one? It's getting annoying.
  10. They're not trying to spread confusion. The item was equipped in a lightsaber. The lightsaber was white. The item itself was real. That's all the poster is saying. EDIT: Illegitimate gain doesn't make the item any less real. The item itself is not supposed to be obtained, yes, but it still existed for that brief moment before Bioware took it away again.
  11. To me, lightsabers work better as a two handed weapon. Wielding them with one hand just makes me feel like it's going to go flying out of my hands cause they're designed for two hands. I can sort of understand it cause sentinels are str based, so they have the strength to hold onto it with only one hand, but I dunno. Doing all the acrobatics with only one lightsaber seems so much cooler to me. Anyway, it does make me sad that there are so few guardians. I guess I'm happy that I'll have less competition for tanking, but still.
  12. One example I remember well is a point in one of the planet class storylines where you are forced to make a decision to save people/artifacts (depending on which choices you make) and kill a Sith. Or ignore the Sith and go after the main bad guy of the planet. Your companions and the general you work for will either praise you for being light side and take advantage of the fact that you saved those people, or will begin to question your judgement and your companions will question you for not saving them if you go dark side. It's simple stuff like that, but there are differences. And also like the poster above says, your decisions do come back in the end.
  13. After playing both light side and dark side, I can tell you that the decisions you make do play a pivotal role in how the story unfolds. The main story will stay the same, but the directions you go down to achieve your goals will be entirely different. And the game shows you how it affects everyone around you when you make those decisions. So if you want to play your story that way, I say go for it. It will unfold just how you want it to, based on what I've seen. And I'm sure you'll find it epic.
  14. My server is quite honestly packed with sentinels. I've seen one other guardian during the time I've been leveling my guardian. And both of us were tanks. Some servers are different. And really, going guardian dps is different than sentinel dps, because the two sentinel trees are different from the one guardian dps tree. Not counting the third shared dps tree. So in essence, some people might roll a guardian dps because they want to dps with one lightsaber instead of two. I don't see the problem with this.
  15. My Jedi guardian is a female Zabrak. I dunno, I just like Zabraks. I didn't know about the hood thing with the twileks, but a part of me wishes the hood was toggleable so I could show off my horns every once in a while. Alas. I do seem to be the minority. Although I honestly don't see many other knights in general. Maybe I just don't get out enough...
