  1. Nah, they need to man up, admit they screwed up by opening way too many servers with way too low population caps and finally start merging hardcore. Cross server warzones will fix but one of the many problems players on empty servers face.
  2. Why on earth would you contact customer support over game balancing changes and what kind of answer did you expect
  3. Oh I'm having plenty of fun and am quite happy, thanks for asking. Just not in SWTOR anymore. Huh ? That's what he said. Lower not slower.
  4. The real "real" gamers whined pretty much the same way about WoW and its players when it was new...You're late to the party buddy.
  5. It's a client/server sync issue. Harpoon just poofs when the target breaks LoS before it actually goes off but the server somehow fails to relay that to your client, so the skill goes on cooldown but nothing happens. I have that all the time unfortunately ( no, it's not my connection, 60-80 ms ping ).
  6. All three melee Jedi/Sith ACs are completely over the top now. You could probably argue Guards/Juggs somewhat less so than the other two, but that's besides the point. If you still suck, it's, well, you. Really can't sugarcoat it anymore after this patch.
  7. The entire consumables saga has been a complete screwup from the start. If you're at a massive disadvantage, and I mean massive, if you don't pop them like candy that's terrible game design. Unfortunately nothing BW has done so far changed that. I'm not sure they even see the actual problem, stacking huge buffs on short cooldowns and some of them even with unlimited uses should never have been in the game and it should most definitely not have made it past any sort of PvP testing. What the f*** where they thinking ? The effects of consumables need to be lowered drastically, so they provide an advantage, but do not decide the outcome of a fight. There is no other way. Fiddling with prices and cooldowns ( within a reasonable limit ) will not solve the issue but rather cause additional problems.
  8. Engineering is an area denial spec. You'll have to use it tactically and with that purpose in mind or it will be rather mediocre - that's probably the reason it's not very popular. The benefits aren't that appearant and most players just want to blow people up, MM delivers that in a more satisfying way with big numbers floating n stuff It definitely is, thanks to the 6% flat damage decrease in cover and the reset on the bubble for the most part. MM doesn't really have any resource management issues if you spend a minimal amount of attention to not dropping too low.
  9. The probably most important point in the linked blog entry is that Taugrim feels several aspects of PvP are moving from an excellent starting point into the entirely wrong direction and I happen to agree completely.
  10. Didn't notice more ticks, but I only played a few warzones and I usually try to use PC on more than just one target, so I could have missed it I guess.
  11. Not only in PvE, in PvP i noticed charged PC doing considerably less damage than before as well ( yes, I used 8/31/2 before the patch, same spec now ), reduced from like 2.4-2.6k a crit tick to about 1.6-1.8k. Didn't have time to properly test if the talent is broken, PC was stealth nerfed or something else changed.
  12. And while you're at it, fix the issues with Twi'Leks and headwear as well BW
  13. There are some boni for finishing early or with certain scores, but generally it looks like you'll get 80ish comms for a win and 40ish for a loss. ( As a PT you should hit the 8 medals cap in your sleep and with your hands tied behind your back ) There isn't really a game imposed limit to the number of WZs you should do per day for maximum efficency, the daily and weekly quests only give a modest amount of comms now, 99 across the board I believe, so only little more than one won match. ( Rewarding actual PvPing rather than doing the dailies is probably the only good idea BW had regarding the PvP changes in this patch... ). Weapon costs 1.5k comms, the complete set 12k and change. So while it's mathematically possible to get the entire set in a matter of days, that's not really a realistic outlook for all but the most "dedicated" of players.
  14. Can't buy the BM pieces before lvl 50, so if you PvP regularly you'll have to spend the comms on something or let a lot of them go to waste during leveling.
  15. Probably lost, you get about 80 comms with 8 medals and a win. So assuming a 50/50 ratio on warzones you'll need to finish about 220-230 of them for a full set of BM, minus the comms from daily/weekly quests.
  16. Textures on characters look somewhat sharper to me, especially on heavy armour. Massive FPS boost in warzones, outside of them performance was fine anyway. So at least in that area I'm quite happy with the patch.
  17. True, but that doesn't mean It's pretty obvious the current design doesn't allow for mega servers, otherwise they wouldn't have gone for the miniature ones we have now in the first place, would they.
  18. Iron Fist is a PvP tank spec providing a good mix of survivability, utility and damage and ( before 1.2 ) it's tanky enough for most PvE content. DPS isn't the purpose of either IF nor the build linked by Agooz though and both specs will be substantially behind damage centered ones. If you don't like Assault, full Tactics running in High Energy Cell would be your pretty much only other option. Personally I think it works well enough in PvE, most of the tree's issues are PvP specific. I'm not much of an expert on PvE content in this game though.
  19. I've tried that and did better with the staple 8/31/2 running Ion. Imo the additional points in Shield benefit you less in offense as well as defense than going the AP tree up to the top. Shield Vents and Rebraced Armour are PvE talents, in PvP you'll run with a generator rather than a shield anyway and there's just too much stuff ignoring armour straight away. Ion Screen is pretty decent for 2 talent points but so is 20% less damage when being stunned and that's when you will most likely need damage reduction the most anyway. Making pretty much any use of Flame Shield required me to go into melee much more often than I was comfortable with, AP works best as a close quarters rather than a melee spec. In addition not having Flame Surge really hurt the damage potential of RP and that's probably the point most detrimental to this build. If you take the risk going into the melee you have to make sure the impact is being felt by your opponents and Iron Fist just does a better job at that. If a melee build is what you're looking for otoh you'll really want to avoid the dreadfully terrible middle tree of AP. Spending four points on the bad joke that is Serrated Blades and the occasional free RP just to have HO rather than Jet Charge ? Not worth it by a long shot imo.
  20. Yup. The 15% on both RP and RS are kinda useful ( the RS/non RS debate is being blown way out of proportion here tbh ), but both attacks are medium priority at best. If you're running AP in Ion I'd argue the Supercommando set bonus is best in fact and I don't even rate that one.
  21. Ranked warzones are pretty much the last thing that will make or break this game, the self-proclaimed elite PvPers are a tiny fraction of the playerbase and usually the most fickle one at that, jumping ship every time a new game comes out. They're kinda cute when going into forum rage mode though Still, pulling the feature just hours before the patch is being applied ( and probably causing a mess regarding the gear changes ) isn't what you'd expect from an AAA title and developer.
  22. You really had to provide the proof to your claim yourself...
  23. "Standard" in BioWare terms means three players ( 2 Imp, one Rep ) and the hamster powering the server.
  24. Oh I get why you don't pick the RS crit talent, when I spec Tactics I don't take it either. Just saying Serrated Blades is absolutely terrible and unless you want to get the crit talent it shouldn't be part of any build imo. Power Armour otoh while maybe not amazing is useful for each and every PT.
