  1. before you post, learn about the mechanics your complaining about. your post shows that your ignorant about certain aspects of warzones. It's not BG, your not in WOW. google: swtor bolster
  2. I bet at some point one of those toons will end up getting borked. Your description sounds like a nasty bug setting itself up for discovery. As for the OP, I searched for a global customization, but didn't find one. It seems options got the back seat during design meetings (as maybe it should?).
  3. Pick NEED if your a: Bounty Hunter and the loot's primary statistic is Aim Imperial Agent and the loot's primary statistic is Cunning Sith Warrior and the loot's primary statistic is Strength Inquisitor and the loot's primary statistic is Willpower Jedi Consular and the loot's primary statistic is Willpower Jedi Knight and the loot's primary statistic is Strength Smuggler and the loot's primary statistic is Cunning Trooper and the loot's primary statistic is Aim Pick GREED/PASS if the loot's primary stat is something else. If your new to MMOs you should know that you can be kicked out of PUGs if select NEED when it should have been GREED. Very bad if it's a BOP item. NOTE: These rules are distilled to it's most simplest form for newer players. More advanced players will understand the gray areas and exceptions. 4. Agreed. I here that its a choice.
  5. I had problems with targeting also during the beta. I filed numerous bugs and made several postings before the forums got wiped. For me, key bound targeting was not working at all. Not even the default TAB targeting. Hitting TAB resulted in no behavior, no selection, nada. I do recall this "ignore NPC" checkbox in the options and left it alone (default was ON) thinking it was probably a good thing since I only wanted to select mobs (which are not NPCs from a playability standpoint) and enemy players. Once I get back into the game, I'll have to find this option again (if its still there) and play with it. That could have been my entire issue. I can mouse click in PvE, but not for PvP, so it's an important issue for me to resolve also.
  6. the mechanism is called bolstering.
  7. These guys have some serious discussions: http://sithwarrior.com/forums/
  8. I like PvP and I like the idea of OWPvP. I can even deal with ganking and being mobbed. What I can't tolerate is lvl 50s killing lvl 10s with no penalties.
  9. I spoke too soon. The European servers are showing status that make it clear the population sort is still not working elegantly. The proper ordering should be: Offline, Light, Standard, Heavy, Very Heavy, Full.
  10. Sorry, I wasn't complete: I blame parents who let their children listen to rap music. Actually, I think upcoming MMO projects are going to take a page from the lessons learned and decide future EGAs aren't worth it. The expectations game is just too fluid.
  11. Lionhearth & Alkiii, Don't make my post something it's not. The OP originally stated that "if future wave's size going to be the same as today's size". This statement was made about 6 hours after the devs communicated their plans. The OP should have read the dev notes (just like we all should) to avoid making this false statement. I was only correcting this error. I was not contributing to any other ancillary discussions. EDIT: In the interest of full disclosure, I signed up 12/1 and expect to get EGA on the 18th.
  12. Not sure they read my post, but it looks like the population values have been changed! Now showing up as "Light", "Standard", and "Heavy" and sorting correctly. There are no "Full" servers ATM so not sure if that one behaves.
  13. Yup, I understood that. For me, wasn't working at all. Like tapping in numbers in my microwave and expecting targets to be selected - same result. And it wasn't just me. Before the forum wipe, others had complained about TAB targeting not working - even saw it in chat while playing.
  14. BW has already communicated that they will be letting in larger numbers of people on Wed: "...We're actually planning to invite more tomorrow than today, and invite the same number again on Thursday..." http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?p=66561#edit66561
  15. Sorry, I should have mentioned that I performed all the permutations and alternate assignments. If instead, your suggesting that in Early Access, the broken mechanism is now working better - then thats good news!
  16. During the last two betas, I had great difficulty with this functionality. It just wasn't working. For those of you now playing, is this working?
  17. There were some rumors during beta that playing in Windowed mode would improve your performance. Try that instead of full screen mode and report back if that worked for you.
  18. I have a slow internet service (AT&T DSL middle pkg), so it took me about 2 days to D/L during the betas. Luckily, I've been keeping it upto date since then.
  19. Read this thread: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=383 also read: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=612
  20. Agreed, should be stickied.
  21. IIRC, I used a slider in the options that allowed me to zoom out farther than the default setting.
  22. could be improved. Right now, the status "Low" is used to denote low populations. This is sub-optimal when doing a ranked search on population. The "Low" status shows up in between "Medium" and "High", when it should show up at one of the two extremes. "Full" works (correctly) this way. A different word denoting low populations should be considered. Although not grammatically correct, "Small" could be used to make the rank work better. Another option is to not do an alpha sort, but to assign the words to an enumerated type. If this is not the proper forum for this type of suggestion, I'd appreciate a pointer to the correct place. TIA.
