  1. I got that new, nifty looking [Tempted Apprentice's Lightsaber] from a box. After upgrading and augmenting it, I decide to try it out. Instead of the usual activation sound, it makes a distorted yet distinct droid sound, a bleep boop. When swung, it makes no sound at all, being silent as the grave, except for a cut off droid bleep on occasion. Funny as it sounds, I think someone mistyped or just linked the wrong sound library to this saber. Please address this issue with the next bug fix when possible?
  2. Someone would infect someone every time and people will keep ruining PvP or Flashpoints by infecting people. You don't expect people to plan on trolling by infecting you. By the time you're infected, you probably have no vaccine on you. It won't help the game experience in any positive way.
  3. Good news then, I'll pass this on to others if they ask.
  4. Give the social search a try also ingame. Aim for hours where you both used to be on and type variations of Kryt. It may show if the person is on. You can also add Kryt and see if they are existant on the server. Try it on both factions to be sure.
  5. There's no solid price. It's always something like 9M-15M. When people all get their paycheck at the end of the month, there's people buying CC and crates, so more of them end up on the GTN and the price drops. Why do you think there's suddenly 7 pairs of gloves, 5 pairs of sashes and 6 or so helmets of the Revan set on GTN, because people are buying now, expecting to be paid in RL soon. Wait until the crates are plentiful, then buy.
  6. Things are worth what people pay for it. There's always the rich one with 20 billion credits who won't raise an eyebrow at a mask of 10 million. People know this and target those people, knowing in a week or two, it'll be sold for that price. Well maybe it's an idea that for the right CC price, you can unlock items from the collections menu which are embargoed which would be bound to person/legacy. Personally? I think anyone can buy anything. Work for it, keep doing dailies and what not, make credits. In a week or two, you can buy that mask off the GTN if you really want it. Credit limits on free 2 play? Well you don't expect that all the area/game content is available to free 2 play mode either, so that rare expansive items can't be bought isn't too surprising. The question is how bad you want it, instant gratification should never be rewarded.
  7. How about an attuned crystal? Your force allignment makes it assume a colour and graphic. Full blown darkside makes it a deep dark red, bursting with lightning and having an erratic blade. Full lightside has it a silvery, sky blue, with mists and clouds floating around it in a serene manner. Anything in between would be angry bright red, faint red, a sort of purple, a deep blue, a bright blue etc. The stats may change depending on the allignment. This would give us a very good reason to aim for neutral DS/LS allignment.
  8. No, this is a bad idea. The system works the way it does. Even if someone is really bad at this game, they can still can cut down womprats and wampas, equip what they loot and keep doing it until reaching level 55. Then they can hop along warzones, level 55 areas, space and what not to grind together a few million credits with patience. Any decent player will ofcourse do dailies and what not. But I'm talking worst case scenario, where even the worst player can level, get credits and buy things off the GTN. If that player is willing to buy credits with real money, they can also pay for a subscription to get rid of the credit cap to buy that stuff off the GTN.
  9. Quite obviously identical, but with a jacket or vest like top. Similar to Visas Marr's armour. It's how it went so far with male/female items.
  10. it is not just deficiency but also bad shading. They had this in the Dragon Age games where seemingly green eyes were actually blue when you stood in the light of the sun. Maybe adding several swappable shaders to look at our characters in different ways would help also. But, this is a great initiative, this list! Nice idea.
  11. 1) What is your overall impression of the event? The event is localized, it doesn't alter the world too much. It's there for who wants it, which includes me. The quests are varied and for all people there's something to do. The special NPC's give the looters a nice thing to do also. 2) What aspects of the event do you like? Varied quests, thus something for everyone. Loot opportunities. Purpose for old DNA samples as well as sample drops to finish that last 50 pieces for a canister. 3) What aspects of the event do you not like? The infecting is a nice touch, but I can imagine some people do not want to pay for Rakghoul Vaccines. I would have either gone with Rakghoul Vaccines at 1 credit, with a 7 days expiration setting, or with an auto-heal when you talk to a medical droid, or perhaps a special THORN medical droid. People with PvP on stealthing to try and get hit by mistargets/smashes. 4) What suggestions do you have for improving the event in the future? Make a separate PvP zone, something you reach through a detour. Make the quest area protect you from PvP. A big battle area around the spike would also have worked, or a second level of caves.
  12. It seems The Tunnel Network / Navigating the Tunnels stopped giving me DNA canisters. I'll test it on other toons to see if it is a level thing.
  13. This will most likely NOT work. The reason is that the Thana Vesh armour (or any item) from the resale vendors are a different version, namely that with a bind-on-pickup stat and the resale icon. This is further hinted at in the collections menu where that particular item appears under the <cartel pack name> header.
  14. That is possible yes, or they are one of the 90% of the people who don't view the forums.
  15. The Firefox update does act strange. Since the update one or two days ago it doesn't close after I shut off Firefox either every few times, requiring me to use task manager to shut it down. It's also randomly slow on loading pages in a way it wasn't before. It wouldn't surprise me if it bugs your connection. Switch Firefox off while playing SWTOR for now and press Ctrl+Alt+Delete and check if firefox.exe is secretly still running. If it is, close that task to be sure it isn't lagging you.
  16. I have, but since the char exists like forever and remains level 5, I highly doubt it's logged into at all.
  17. As the title says, there's a level 5 unused Imperial Agent called Thana on The Progenitor. I think the owner is subscribed because the name did not free up after the name wipe of today. If someone owns the name, I'll buy it for a large sum of credits (1M or 2M or such) or I'd offer you some other goods, hoping that since it is unused you may be willing to part with it. If you happen to know the person holding this unused name, let them know I'd be interested in the name please?
  18. I think because we have a friendly server where a lot of communications take place ingame. People seem helpful in guiding, assisting and helping other players over general chat ingame, more so than some other servers.
  19. I noticed that Duma Strike and Cha Raaba are subtly different also. Asteroids have been moved a few metres or so, making you hit them from angles where you normally could avoid them. I fly space missions nearly daily and mostly blind, it doesn't take long to feel that something is strange and off. On the positive side, space finally got hardcore. Nobody will ever mock little Anakin's flying skills again. He got through with his barrel rolls where I didn't!
  20. Are you sure you haven't already learned it? Alternately, when hovering over items in the GTN with the RE button on, RE chances also show as unavailable. I suggest asking customer support if this is a common issue.
  21. I'm purely saying that the current format makes it easier to make purchases by memorizing a creditcard. I'm not condoning the complaint by the UK, I'm saying that I see why they perceive this as a problem and why they make an issue of it. Proverbal devil advocating does not mean one shares the opinion of in this case the UK system. Unfortunately there are idiot parents on the world who do need handholding and from a juridical angle, changing that system saves a company the possible lawsuits it otherwise needs to respond to. And then there's the media which may make people think that all Bioware and EA games have non-existant payment loopholes, which is bad publicity. The UK seems to be a champion at twisting words until they are untruths, whenever I see British gutterpress. Change would simply be Bioware or EA being the mature grown-up, while those parents who currently complain are acting like children. Averting damage because as a company, you have better things to do, weighting your gains and losses in such a decission. Button bashing confirmation buttons will remain a source of complaint. Is it financially and from a PR point of view smart to put down ones foot and keep a system as it is because idiot parents can't control their children? Sure those parents should control their children, but the fact is they don't and demanding they would won't change that. It may be a smart business choice to alter such a payment system, therefor weighting such an option.
  22. The only real problem I see right now is that you can click a single button for more Cartel Coins because currently your credit card information is memorized. To solve that problem, simply demand that with each new Cartel Coin or subscription purchase, the credit card information has to be filled in fully again. Then if a minor would purchase Cartel Coins without parental permission, it is a matter of theft, because that minor with the creditcard information could just as easily have bought something from eBay or another online service. Then Bioware and EA could not be blaimed, as they have not offered any option for the minor to make a purchase without the minor initiating theft of their parents' creditcard information.
  23. Yes, that's the only way at the moment for orange crystals at a low level.
  24. Many of the lightsaber color crystals have been identified through 'datamining', a process where the more techie people amongst us use all kind of tools to open the game files and see what is available. Seemingly they used this method to find out what items are in the game. I guess there's a good chance the 'black inside - coloured outside' crystal are reserved for special promotional rewards in the next few years, much like how yellow and green with black have been so far.
