  1. http://i.imgur.com/UGdyCrp.jpg "the clippin' and the tearin" on this flap is extremely noticeable on body type 3 & 4 especially.
  2. self-explanatory: http://imgur.com/a/4eiI4
  3. necroing this old thread because apparently it's still an issue as of 3/15/2015. currently, i have 5 friends online, and yet none of them are shown as being online in the friends window, so i can't discern them from those who are offline. the only way i know they are online is because they are talking in chat or actively playing with me. also, sometimes friends will have logged off, and yet it'll show them as being online.
  4. would be interested in applying for conquest/pvp/backup if needed. since my work schedule is chaotic at the moment, i'm usually on in the late night/early morning hours (pacific time), so i'm frequently grouped with midian ppl for daily fp's. always smooth runs too! character name is Síxes with a wonky alt-code 161 "í".
  5. this is for pvp, right? cuz for pve, that accuracy seems a bit too low.
  6. ooo! glad you brought this up because i've been pondering whether alacrity would be beneficial running fury in pve. from what i've gathered regarding stat priority as fury at the moment, the general idea is to get 110% accuracy, 20% crit, ~300 surge, and max out power and alacrity with whatever slots are open (hoping this is right; just came back to the game after a 2 year hiatus, so please correct me if i'm wrong). however, i'm wondering if it's possible to put out the same dps numbers or better by prioritizing alacrity over another stat like crit or surge. has anyone here experimented with running more alacrity as fury? i'm curious.
  7. what does your gear look like? how much alacrity?
  8. oh, god yes! it wasn't so much that they were excessively better as much as it was the convenience of it. you leveled your crafting, put forth the effort to make one for yourself, and bam! doneski! the quality of life it brought knowing i'd never have to worry about those 3 necessities: medpac, stim, adrenal. also, reusables were perfect for those of us who genuinely loathe crafting, or for players with busy schedules that just wanna jump into the content without worrying about consumables whenever they login. while the the long-duration stim is a nice step forward for non-biochemists, why can't we have both long-duration stims, and reusable adrenals/medpacs/stims specifically for biochemists? the reusables could even require a hefty amount of materials to craft to compensate for their convenience.
  9. I really hate that biochem doesn't offer the benefit of having the top tier reusables at 60. the convenience of having reusables were the main reason I leveled up biochem in the first place. it's irritatingly disappointing.
  10. highly agree with providing an option to remove this irritating text... it's troubling to see what the hell is going on when i'm playing my marauder due to the wall of red spam. damn irritating!
  11. agreed. http://www.darthhater.com/devtracker/topic/56305-disable-error-text
  12. -_- apparently reading is difficult. i currently have a pair of medium armor orange moddable bracers on my marauader with the requirement for "sith warrior"... they are a random world drop, and they are quite rare. however, there is a chest on voss behind the boss mob named Kanis. i farmed the chest and kanis for over a week before i finally got them. kanis is on a 5 minute respawn timer, and the rank 5 chest that's behind him respawns every 30 minutes. he hits like a truck, so you need to use the little rock ledge next to him to have him kinda "wonk out" a bit while allowing your healing companion to keep you up. if you get low, jump up on the little cliff, and then back down once he gets close. after your companion tops you off, you fight him a little more until you get low, then jump back up on the rock until you are healed to full again... rinse repeat and s+fu about moddable medium armor bracers not being available for sith warriors because they are... you just haven't worked hard enough to deserve them yet. oh, and once you get them, you can throw rank 25 (ilvl 58) stated mods into it which make them better than any bracers currently available in game -- even better than the rakata bracers. http://www.torhead.com/item/8u52YZ6/sith-annihilators-armguards edit: http://dulfy.net/2012/02/22/orange-bracersbelts-and-light-armoring-modding/
  13. in this video, this particular individual has it in their moddable chestpiece: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KWcZhA0VORI#t=5m26s
  14. For making moddable gear useful in pvp, does anyone know where [Advanced Rage Armoring 24] is from? http://www.torhead.com/item/7kGHkIe/advanced-rage-armoring-24
  15. Is [Advanced Rage Armoring 24] something that is crafted, purchased with daily commendations, or a drop from operations? http://www.torhead.com/item/7kGHkIe/advanced-rage-armoring-24
  16. where did you get that [Advanced Rage Armoring 24] in your moddable chestpiece?
  17. as game developers and designers, they should take some queues from other games to see what worked and what didn't, or they could have come up with more innovative ideas that aren't asinine and poorly implemented. at least make an intelligent attempt to improve systems from successful MMOs before you release something crappy. now tell me, how's outlaws den? i sat out there for 7 hours during peak weekend hours with some friends dueling each other while we waited for someone to show up on Ajunta Pall (heavy pop), and nobody except curious lowbies came through there the entire time. other than the 2 mounts from the vendors, there are no real incentives to go out there. perhaps, someone might check it out for the a unlikely chance at some world pvp or to see what the area looks like, but that's about it. oh, and ilum is such great open world pvp... or probably the most boring. i spent the past hour running circles in central while fighting for boxes with my fellow imps for the daily. when it's not a box farm, it's just one large group trying to stomp another greater or lesser group from the opposing side by throwing aoe at each other at low framerates like monkeys tossin' their poo back and forth. the only fun i have in ilum is when i'm picking people off in smaller groups (8-24 people) which actually requires skill and coordination unlike the currently mindless "follow the rest of the mob" mentality when it's 30+ vs 30+. at least wow got closer to making their end-game large scale pvp enjoyable; don't get me wrong, i don't like wow whatsoever especially in it's current state, but ilum is plain dumb. rng pvp bag loot seemed to work wonders too! that's probably why it's being thrown out for a new system only shortly after launch because they apparently didn't understand how the playerbase would react to opening bag after bag only to get screwed over until they were fed up, or just the opposite: players being fully geared in a matter of a week due to lucky bags, and then having nothing to look forward to because they have all the stuff they want without really having to work much for it. loot distribution in the game needs to be more consistent and less easily acquired especially to keep end-game player's interests. without any items to look forward to, most mmo's becoming boring and repetitive after the content is on farm.
  18. 1 interrupt on a 8 second cooldown with 1 rage cost (only class with a rage cost on interrupt) 1 channeled stun (3 seconds duration; 4 secs with tank pvp 4-piece) with a 1 minute cooldown that can only be used when the person doesn't have full resolve. 1 knockback on a 1 minute cooldown that also can only be used when the person doesn't have full resolve. so... 4 second reliable ability specific lockout, 3-4 second channeled choke, and a knockback that takes about 3 more seconds to stand up from. what juggernaut have you seen that was able to rip through a decent healer in 10-11 seconds? -_- oh, are you not a battlemaster yet? if you were, you'd know it changed for everyone except battlemasters, like me, who have continually opened bags only to find champion commendations when all i need is battlemaster gear... as of today, i've looted 50 battlemaster bags and have only received 2 tokens which allowed me to purchase 1 set piece. in 1.2, they've stated they are changing the system around for all ranks, but it's still ridiculous that it wasn't addressed in the last patch that improved things for champion gear bags. i hope to god they don't introduce new abilities... i already have over 15 keybinds. they should just improve or update abilities that currently exist, or remove abilities and replace them with better ones for classes who lack fun animations. thankfully for me as a jugg, the melee classes in this game have some pretty cool animations, but i will admit the healing ones are kinda lackluster except for the green goo spitting operatives. true, but also look at the date this video was posted. "Uploaded by Sacredheals on Jan 28, 2012" when he addressed these issues, bioware still had not implemented fixes for them, so he was right to bring them up. some of the issues he mentioned regarding the UI still exist even after their attempted fixes. if you check the support/bug forums, you'll find plenty of people with some UI issues. Yay! something we somewhat agree on! Other games have done it relatively well, most notably WoW with TB or WG, and it's possible to make it work much better than it's current state, but Ilum is honestly probably the most fail open world pvp attempt I've ever experienced. - little incentive to visit other than the daily/weekly/valor farmers, - lack of skill or meaningful fighting in large scale battles - imbalanced factions yielding higher likelihood for the faction with most numbers in ilum - performance issues for many players even with high end gaming rigs. fixed to some extent. there is still the issue with players spamming force choke or ravage where the animation plays out for the abilities entirety, but the ability and effect is never used or applied. i still see this is an issue since pvp can be hectic, and players will tend to spam a key a few times to make sure it activates, only to find it played the animation, but didn't do anything else.
  19. my concern is that it was brought up awhile ago, and since then, there have been patches that included buffs and mostly nerfs to other classes, and yet we still have no clue how the jugg issues are being addressed if they are at all. if they've identified an issue, and they address it's a concern they want to fix, yet there is little to no information it in the meantime regarding how or when they'll get it to a good place, then the issue is still persisting with them knowing it's not where it should be. also, when classes are OP, they get nerfed in a timely manner (sometimes too much of a nerf though), but when a class is lacking, they say they are aware of it, but do nothing to fix it in a timely manner? that's my gripe.
  20. how lucky for you. i have a i7 2600k, 16 GB DDR3 ram, sli setup 2x evga nvidia geforce GTX 570 2gb ddr5 overlocked, and a hybrid solid state drive, and yet i get 100+ fps outside of ilum, but once i get into ilum, it drops to 45-60 fps when people are capping stuff or too many players are nearby, and once large scale fights occur, I'm actually getting 1 frame every 2-3 seconds. i've tried all of the fixes supplied by the community to get my performance consistent, and i can play pretty much any game at max settings without any issues... except for this game.
  21. there are multiple world drop moddable belt and bracers for heavy, medium, and light armor wearers. for light only, you can get the pilot's belt from a specific vendor on the fleet. i did my research and found i could mod them in a way that actually makes them far superior to the non-mastercrafted rakata and battlemaster gear, so i've been using them instead. here is a list of available bracers for heavy/medium/light armor wearer's: http://www.torhead.com/items/catg/2/mods/eq/1/and/quality/4/slot/5 here is a list of available belts for heavy/medium/light armor wearer's: http://www.torhead.com/items/catg/2/mods/eq/1/and/quality/4/slot/6 note: torhead displays these items as having augment slots, but they actually only have an Armor slot and a Mod slot.
  22. i agree with most everything in this video, and while i liked wow while i played it for 6 years, i definitely wouldn't go back to it at this point, nor do i like where blizzard has taken the direction of wow currently. i had such high hopes for swtor after leveling in beta, but i never played swtor end-game until release, and there is nothing for me to do except level more alts with class/race combinations i don't want or can't have because out of 50 Battlemaster bags, i've had 2 battlemaster commendations which is terrible. how they could have implemented such poorly designed loot systems, impractical GTN, buggy/unbalanced/sometimes unresponsive combat, poor click targeting on players, and despicable and laggy world pvp (even on top gaming systems)?! do their devs even play mmo's and understand what works and what doesn't before putting it into the game? it's so frustrating! is Ilum supposed to be worthwhile open world pvp? it's definitely not challenging fighting through a slideshow of aoe, and the controlling faction is typically the side with the most members in Ilum which is nearly always imbalanced to the point where it's not even fun. how to fix Ilum in the meantime: 1. take the quest area and the pvp objective area and reduce the overall size of ilum by combining the two into 1 zone that's slightly larger than the current "pve" ilum daily area. 2. limit the number of players in ilum to 24 or maybe even 48 per faction if the server/game can handle it without terrible lag since the game obviously has issues with too many players in the same zone at a one time. 3. move some of the pvp objectives into this new slightly larger "pve" daily area. 4. provide items, mods, crafting schematics, or consumables that are useful to end-gamers purchasable with daily commendations. 5. allow players who land on ilum a dialog box asking if they'd like to autojoin the current ops groups in Ilum, and provide an option through the WZ queue window to join he current ops group if they change their mind after landing (only displayed while in Ilum). with this, you'll have smaller scale pvp, but it'll actually be challenging and require more skill, people will naturally go to Ilum for items they can use from the daily commendations, and open world pvp will occur organically... trying to force it is fail. this is a video of sunwell isle pvp on my old server in 2008 while my gf's raid was waiting on me to tank her karazhan run (yeah, she was a baddy), and it was more engaging, fun, and exiting than anything i've done in ilum thus far:
  23. 2 more bags today without BM tokens... reaffirming my subscription cancellation. i wonder if the devs who implemented these loot systems even played the game or worked on previous mmo's because anyone who plays the game could have pointed out how flawed a RNG bag system is. when players invest time and energy into acquiring something in a game, they wish to yield some reward from it, but when you get nothing you need, there is no incentive to continue by making the player's efforts feel pointless, and then hopelessness, frustration, and irritability soon follows. if they released the game with such poorly designed loot systems, it brings to question how qualified the dev team is to be working on such a large scale mmo with so much potential, and yet so much fail.
  24. that's what gave me the idea for it... i have my 4 piece rakata for pve, and i found myself using saber throw a ton in operations which made playing a jugg feel less clunky at times (especially when rage starved).
  25. i completely agree. 3 weeks as battlemaster getting weeklies and dailies done religiously, and out of the 48 battlemaster bags i've opened, i've only received 2 battlemaster commendations. this is idiotic and ridiculous, and yet i've played into this bullsh*t for weeks thinking i'd get lucky or that they'd fix it with one of the previous patches. the only gear i need for upgrades is completely up to RNG! i started questioning why i even logon at this point because my hard work yields little to no reward! i honestly don't see why they couldn't have just patched the battlemaster bags to award 1 battlemaster commendation, and upped the cost of items by 3-5 commendations from what they currently are. they could have included that in the last patch, but they didn't because apparently they want the battlemasters to be the first ones to get frustrated and quit when we are the people who've probably played this game the most. "Good to know this will be changed in 1.2 - but honestly - yesterday was too late." <-this! anyhow, i've already unsubscribed after opening today's battlemaster bags only to find myself disappointed yet again. i wish i hadn't already pay for 6 months at launch because now i have a few months of game-time left. whoever the dev's are they came up with the GTN, RNG bag loot, and meaningless Ilum slideshow of aoe and box hunting all need to be dragged in the street and... i wish evil things upon them.
