  1. You guys almost drained the fun out of it.
  2. Oh I disagree. There are players that pose a far greater threat to themselves than any other player might...
  3. Doesn't have to be restricted to just two game modes. Like I said, solo PVP is already pretty much everywhere. Just needs a queue now;)
  4. Of course, nothing gets by me. How about you? Nothing to explain. Solo PVP has never been easier, especially now that PVP gear has been removed. You can seamlessly switch between solo PVE and solo PVP. Just need to be able to queue for it now.
  5. Look, solo PVP is practically built into the game already, it's about time they break down, admit it, and add it to group finder. What if I told you you already have and likely practice the skills required for solo PVP every day?
  6. Wow, stop harassing the poor OP. If he wants to solo PVP, what's it to you? How does it affect your game one bit? I support adding solo warzones. Someone asked why can't they bring in things like Huttball arenas in PVE. I say bring in PVE locations to solo PVP (to reward the new game mode). Here are some suggestions: Player's Ship (small, objective based arena, rotates on a weekly basis between XS Freighter, Fury, Defender, Mantis, Phantom and Thunderclap. For special occasions, get access to the special map Gravestone!) Coruscant Stronghold (medium-sized free-for-all arena) Dromund Kaas Stronghold (same) Nar Shadaa Stronghold (same) Yavin Stronghold (large free-for-all arena) and more!
  7. You need more caps (and typos). Only then, will teh devs cave. But yeah, they should either bring back certs or revamp those vendors. Though given the stories that the vendor versions don't always unlock in collections, maybe it's best to just forget the whole thing and hope you get lucky with a direct sale or something.
  8. Ever play with a friend and ride along on their story? Instances are no problem, you spectate the conversations and the game even draws you in the background like a ******, ready to back your buddy up. In the open world however... you get to stand there like a chump twiddling your thumbs while your friend gets that "..." icon over his head. Can we please have an option to spectate those too? Either make open world story clickables available to the grouped player before the main player activates them or, even better (given holocalls) put in an option to "Join Conversation" on the portrait, either as a toggle or on a per-case basis. Hell, port the way it works for group missions, only with the spectating player's options disabled.
  9. Well, we can always hope something will eventually be feasible. They have the assets already. I wonder if instead of trying to modify the original quests, they can just duplicate them and retool the copy until it resembles the original, but done in whatever streamlining they have going on these days.
  10. You carried a 3 day newbie? I'm impressed. Yeah, that's the worst. I had one of those over teh holidays. Vet Cademimu (sp?). Me, level 70 Op heals, almost full 236 golds, another level 70 assassin, a third non-stealth rando and a level 30 Op dps. Keep this one in mind. In a nutshell the level 30 tries to sneak/rush past one mob only for someone (usually the non-stealth) to aggro another, when we're all out of position, which usually means they die before I can get to them. The other level 70 ragequits. We get a new non-stealther, also a sub-70. The level 30 still tries to pull his ********. I start deliberately aggroing, hoping he'll get the hint. He doesn't. He still thinks he's a "toally pr0 speedrunneR". He doesn't do the mechanics for the police droid boss (because in his mind he can probably burn the dude solo), we wipe. I explain the mechanics and the rest of us manage to trap the droid on the next run. At this point I'm done thinking I can be subtle and flat out state, we're not sneaking since we clearly can't handle it, let's do this right. Ol 30 ignores me, keeps running past mobs on the way to, and past, the MGS elevator. Finally I say **** it, vote kick. We finish 3manning the rest of it, no problem. I'm a lot more patient than most, and I don't usually vote yes to a kick unless they're afk for a while with no explanation or they're, well, this bad. This may be the first time I've initiated a vote kick.
  11. +2 double signed and since the bonus today is countering crap like this, add another two. Making a meaningless number go up does nothing for (or against) the story content. And speaking of CXP, there's an even bigger range of numbers to meaninglessly go up for you. I mean I shouldn't judge if you're into that, but what more do you want?
  12. Point to where they took away something of yours. Maybe you should put down the pipe...
  13. Nice try, but no. What 'm saying is that the very existence of the pixels themselves is negatively affecting my enjoyment of the game. Their rarity merely mitigates that somewhat via the "out of sight, out of mind" principle. Unlike you, I don't want to restrict what pixels someone does or does not have. I simply want some pixels to not exist, at all. I'm also keenly aware of my lack of authority on the matter, and short of voicing my displeasure once, will not be pouncing on everyone that demands said pixels, from now till the end of time.
  14. Or how about maybe we do away with the ******** archaic kill-tagging/locking system altogether and if you do x amount of damage to a thing you get credit? What witchcraft will be invented next, openworld clickables for each player?
  15. I would amend my previous statements to: if FPs drop stuff that is otherwise obtainable by other means, whether they be vendors or even CM stuff, I have no issue with that. More options is always good, and there should always be multiple ways to get most things. RNG alongside direct purchase methods is fine, it's only by itself (or when the latter is redonk) that it becomes an issue.
  16. Actually there are several small "problems" that while each may be inconsequential, together do add up. Things like old armor for cosmetics that may not be obtainable anymore, old titles, general completion etc. I think a case can be made for this functionality. Now that we have the Master Datacron there is practically no additional impact to group play by allowing this. Noobs will be noobs. You can't stop someone who just got the game from boosting to a fully 230'd set bonus-clad class and queuing for an OP so what difference will this make? And if they were to implement a restriction that you can't boost until you leveled the class normally, then they could add the same restriction to the class change token. So either way, nothing is lost, but flexibility is gained for those that want it.
  17. Christ, that stupid lightsaber is probably the only thing I'm happy is nigh-unobtainable usually (and the only case where I dislike Direct Sale), if for no other reason that it spares me from having to look at it in game. If they brought this out and I had to look at Emo Ren clones in every FP I think I'd chuck my computer out the window. Keep Mickey's nonsense to itself.
  18. lol I was... doing a bit, a grammer rhymes with yahtzee bit. But I ended up agreeing with you anyway. The allergy some people here have to the notion of making more players happy is really something.
  19. I don't see what problems it could cause. Even the points you brought up initially- gear and such. Why should that be a problem from teh dev side? On one hand they could go the current Master Datacron route where upon using the class change token, a full set of gear for the specific class is provided to you. But I would be just as fine with saying if you do change class, it's on you to gear properly. Did you go from a Commando to a Vanguard? Well then I hope you can figure out how to get a Blaster rifle and slot some mods into it. No reason to take away your cannon (as in remove it from your inventory). It just becomes unequippable, like some companion weapons did. "But wait, I don't want commando-geared vanguards in my ops/pvp/etc." Well, noobs will be noobs. I don't believe this will create a noticeable influx of that sort of thing. No more than respeccing does currently at any rate.
  20. Subject Alternative Names. Basically it tells you what domain names are secured by that cert. So I can't just use rando cert for site A on Site B and have you trust that I'm totally legit. And the browser doesn't really allow or disallow anything. If you try to navigate with HTTPS to a site with a bad cert, it will warn you it's bad (expired, wrong name, whatever) but there will usually be an option to proceed anyway (some browsers/OSes may hide this because users are dumb and they probably shouldn't click things too much). If there's no cert though, then HTTPS will not work at all because the protocol is literally broken (it doesn't have anything to secure with) That or no 443 binding was set server-side.
  21. Just for fun, here are all the SANs in their cert: So they could secure it if they want. But as others have said, the forum doesn't need it. If you try to login you'll see it is HTTPS with the proper cert.
  22. Welp, as someone who enjoys healing FPs, count me as a dissenter. I'm quite fine with running FPs just because I like running FPs, and having the rewards be generic gains towards whatever. Otherwise most of the stuff I'd get would be vendor'd anyway and if I were after a specific piece that could only drop from these things, I'd probably be pissed I wasn't getting it (because you know drop rates for things you want are always ****). Besides, most of us can agree RNG sucks- now you want multiplayer RNG? Competing not just against quite possibly abysmal drop rates, but other players as well? Not my idea of fun.
  23. RIP droid CC. So useful, and not just on Smugglers/Agents but on Sentinels as well.
