  1. And um, what he said. I leveled 2 characters to 50 before I even looked at the GTN because there was simply NO NEED. You can easily get to 50 without buying anything from another player. Or, honestly, interacting with anybody. Which is another reason this game feels so hollow / empty / lonely.
  2. Stop replying to stupid questions that anybody could ask on the forums and get an answer to. Waste of every persons time. Basically, you're working on everything mentioned. but we still don't have the core features from 1.2 that we were looking forward to. Nobody asked the tough questions like "Are you going to address the server population concerns" or get rid of the ludicrous instancing on planets when the server population is crap? Free transfers for low pop servers at all? /sigh I unsubbed today, prior to reading this, and don't regret it. I wanted to love this game. I played it for about 5 months and just can't do it anymore.
  3. I went shieldtech until 30 (currently 30). I was using Mako and easymoding through most content. I went pyro a day or two before patch and found that, at least for questing, I'm not doing nearly as well. In PVP I can really lay down some damage though, pre and post 1.2. But I find it painful for questing. To the point that I may go respec back to shieldtech.
  4. Yarp. If somebody really really likes the BM warrior set and really really wants their set bonus, this is what they would do.
  5. I'm glad you emphasized that's at level 40. The changes to PVP gear and how the stat scales (expertise) has changed the playing field dramatically from most first-hand experiences. Is it the end of the (virtual) world? No. But it certainly isn't as fun to be a healer anymore at level 50 PVP.
  6. Dual specialization is amazing and I'm glad they are adding it. Not to the extend that RIFT did it - that was absurd. But being able to have a tank spec and a PVP spec on my powertech would make me a happy panda. Or a heal spec and a dps spec so I can solo farm content on my operative while leveling and then go heal some PVP? Why is that a bad thing? Why should I have to spend time farming just to enjoy my character? It's not. Games should be fun. Dual spec hurts NOBODY, and I haven't seen a convincing argument yet other than the anti-carebear argument. And that argument holds no water.
  7. I've got a 30+ of each and nothing at level 50 yet, just a 43 operative. I'm looking for a class that will... -Do well in PVP with a friend or two (he plays his healer sorc mostly) -Be able to find groups / provide utility in PVE encounters I enjoy Powertech for its tank capability - Played a tank in every MMO and always really enjoyed that role. Currently shield tech spec, haven't tried anything else. Marauder is fun so far and lays out some heavy dps. Assassin seems like the improved, more useful version of my dps operative. Anybody have opinions on which ones are most fun out of these?
