  1. Drunk Ops are the best!! In the other game, we used to have one evening of drunk raiding. We knew we weren't going to get very far, but we had a blast!! We're all adults and can handle our alcohol though... My fav drink is either vodka/cran/7up or Captain Morgan/Diet Coke.
  2. I have two toons with stealth and I have never been able to cap anything while being in stealth. I wish it would automatically pop me out of stealth when I'm trying to cap a door or something, but I have to get out of stealth and then click.
  3. Nothing is worse being a healer and wondering where the hell this team mate came from and why is he at 1/4 health!!! Then try to run around and click on the person while that person is trying to run away and save his 1/4 health...
  4. Talk Radio or Pod Casts. Opie and Anthony, Ron and Fez, Jim Breuer, 5 Decisions Away, You Know What Dude Podcast, Jay Mohr's podcast, Kevin Smith, Hollywood Babble On. The downside is that I'm listening to the Podcast/Radio and not paying attention to my decision choices. I've made some very foolish decisions and then wondered why I killed a kid or poisened a water supply...
  5. When Empire Strikes Back, my older brother and I were visiting my grandmother in a small Northern California town. This lumber town only had one movie theater, showing one movie. Bless my grandmother who sat through the whole movie with us!! What a saint!! She's a very proper woman and sitting for 90 minutes for a sci-fi movie was unforgettable. I will never forget my first screening of Empire!
  6. I definitely remember Mist! I think it was one of the first computer games I picked up. I don't think I got too far into the game because I had such a hard time trying to figure out how it worked. Back then, I was on dial up and it took too long to research the answers on the baby internet... Good times!!
  7. I just started healing on my Smuggler and will try the recommendations posted above. However, the stupid legacy name and mutiple titles drive me crazy!! There are times when I'm trying to find someones name in the Raid frame and can't find the person because their name is so freaking long or they are using titles, I can't decipher what their actual effin name is! Sorry. Rant over. Carry on.
  8. I've done this as an officer and just a regular member. The info is there, you just have to look at the drop down menus in the Details page.
  9. I didn't even know the Vote-to-Kick option existed... I haven't been pvp'ing for long, but I've never seent his come across is any of my War Zones.
  10. You can view how long ago a guild mate logged in by selecting "G", then clicking on the "Details" button in upper right. One of the columns will give you the information you are looking for, I can't remember which one exactly. There is a drop down menu and when you select it, you can see how long a guild mate has been offline. I'm pretty sure there is a Guild Recruitment forurm, look around.
  11. SAME HERE...on everything! Very few people even know I game! Working in an HR field, I have no techie people to discuss mitigation, pvp, and those damn class quests I can't do on my own!!
  12. -- Log into SWTOR -- Ask Guildies to PVP -- Wait for response -- Wait some more -- Queue up Solo -- Leave Queue and invite guildie to group -- Queue up again -- Grab my rocket fuel vodka cocktail and drink heavily This made me chortle!!!! Good day, sir!
  13. I have been leveling my Sent since shortly after the game launched. Until I came to this forum, I had NO idea there was such a hate for JKs. I had NO idea we were considered over powered and there is such animosity. FOTM? Not in my case. Up until a couple weeks ago, I only PvE'd. I'm a noob pvp'er and melee dps'er. I'm attacked first and rarely survive. But that's ok, I'm having fun, playing with friends, and learning a lot. I even scored in Hutt ball. Go me. BRAVO sir!!
  14. Did WoW have all these things within their first 6 months of launch? Give them time, man...
  15. This what got me sucked in to the depths of the dark, murky PVP world. My guild leader, whom I was questing with, said "Let's go PVP"... Done. I've been a PVP whore ever since (only about two weeks ago). I, too, appreciate all the helpful advice in this thread. Even after PVP'ing last night for 2.5 hours, we still didn't win one war zone. Sigh. I have redone my key binds and action bars about five times now and I'm getting better, even got a couple MVP's. I'm trying to take my time now and not just run in and start hitting people. I'm taking my time and choosing my target before force leaping in. Oh! and marking the other teams' healers is a HUGE help for newbies like me.
  16. This is my neighborhood! I saw the story and was cracking up!! I want to know the story behind his name...
  17. I tried the Razer gaming mouse and my hands are too small to reach all the numbers on the side. I just couldn't reach everything quickly enough. Short fingers. Maybe I'll hook it back up and try it again. I like the mouse wheel for targeting. I find that to be very frustrating as tab targeting isn't very reliable. Thanks for the tips!! Keep them coming! That's too bad because I only pug PVP. Once in awhile, I may have another guildy, but that's rare. I've started getting brave enough to call out incoming attacks and that seems to get others more vocal too. I'll do whatever I'm told. Wish there were more Ops leaders out there that would lead.
  18. Both of those responses are very helpful! Thank you!!! I'm new to the PVP world and I'm digging in my feet with using keybinds. I know I need to start using them, but I'm a clicker by nature. I'm learning, but learning PVP when there is no communication is next to impossible. I love the leaders that actually use the chat feature.
  19. I rerolled on Fatman and I love all the people and interaction on this server. But, be prepared to wait up to an hour.... I'm learning to log in anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour BEFORE I want to play.
  20. Don't give up yet!! I just started PVP'ing and I'm level 42. I never thought I would enjoy it, but I have found my new love. Reading the forums help a lot if you can skip over all the Sent/Mara OP whining. There are good people on here that will help you and answer your questions.
  21. I'm rerolling a Marauder. Time to let the dark side out...
