  1. And just for the record, I was a very motivated player at release. Midway through the game, you realize the pve in this game is just garbage with VO. Every new planet feels like a chore, quests are like burdens, every flashpoint is the same. PvP is just grind with very little skill involved. End-game, you will come to the very same conclusion that I outlined in this thread, if you have any logic at all. Game is just a money grab operation, with zero innovation or longevity. Core game mechanics are so flawed it makes you wonder if they were put together overnight in a mad rush to get the game out by december (more money for EAsy). I honestly feel like all the money spent on this game went to the pockets of few individuals raising a mad salary, and the VO (so they could hype it for marketing purposes), thinking the glaringly obvious problems of this game wouldn't shine through until they've got their money's worth.
  2. PvE questing = credits. I have absolutely no need for credits (game design flaw). I don't have to repeat the "kill x amounts of generic zero IQ trash mobs in location x, where travel times take up 80% of the time spent on said quest" part. Flashpoints = kill generic zero IQ trash mobs in a pipe run flashpoint, to get loot that I have no need of. More please? Operations = read above World PvP = dead, due to very low server population caps, zero incentive or benefit for doing it, and massive, empty areas of pure void. It probably takes me 30 minutes of sleeping on my speeder for one kill. Twinking = since world pvp is dead, there is no way to stop xp gains, making twinking impossible. PvP = poor framerates, three warzones, outcome decided 90% by gear, massive ability delay, lack of server forums... list goes on and on. Crafting = there is no crafted gear better than pvp gear, credits are useless, leaving biochem 400 as the only craft of choice, and after you've got your reusable consumables, you're done. This takes like two days to achieve. So tell me... what is there? Pointless, boring, filler content that serves no purpose whatsoever. The best part, I have to pay a monthly fee if I want to play the game. EAsy™
  3. Of course not. Thing is, like I said, I didn't shell 60$ for a crappy single player game with a player lifespan of one month. I'm just giving an unbiased player viewpoint of the game. If these forums were filled with only positive ooze about how a completely meaningless low level flashpoint ROCKS, then people who buy the game expecting it to be an actual MMO, will feel severely disappointed after one month. +1000x The fact that I have zero incentive to finish the last two planets, and my story quest line, speaks for itself. I have absolutely zero reason to do hard mode flashpoints after I already got my Biometric Crystal Alloy (which took me a majestic two runs...). I have absolutely zero reason to do operations. I have absolutely zero reason to do any pve whatsoever (not to mention minesweeper is about as exciting, while being more challenging). I have absolutely zero reason to kill any world bosses. I have absolutely zero reason to do anything but my ilum dailies and 3 won warzones. I have absolutely no need for credits, the in-game currency, which speaks for itself. PvP in this game is not worth playing for by itself. World PvP = BW killed it intentionally to keep casuals from getting ganked (more $).
  4. You seem upset. It must be your subconscious mind having problems with your self denial.
  5. Yep, it's not that. It's just your inability to grasp the issue at hand. I honestly feel like playing Aion again, even though it was ravaged by incompetent staff, it's still vastly superior to swtor as an MMO.
  6. Again, you must be a low level. There are such fundamental design problems in this game, that revising them is probably impossible. Those fundamental design problems = it doesn't matter how much lifeless and hollow content bw pumps out, it's all irrelevant. I just lol at the interview where some bw employee said this game will last 20 years and they'll do 500 planets (yeah... maybe 500 HUUUGE planets with zero IQ mobs dotted around like trees, maybe even by a random generator). Design problems I'm talking about: - pve = completely meaningless (and extremely boring and far... far too easy) - pvp = ultra carebear mode engaged, almost 100% gear based, world pvp is dead thanks to bw, list goes on and on... - crafting = completely meaningless I've been level 50 for less than a week, and the only thing for me to do anymore is to go pve swap daily in Ilum and win 3 warzones. ... that's it. Now you'll say... add more warzones? Yeah, so instead of grinding 3 wins in warzones in 3 different warzones, I'll be able to do it in six different warzones. Awesome. That will definitely keep people subbed for 1 year. To add insult to injury, I stopped pve at Belsavis (thanks massive over xp and zero reason to go to Voss/Corellia). The one and only reason I have to even considering going to Voss and Corellia is to finish my class story quest line, which will probably be done under 2 hours (and 70% of that time will be travel times). ... however, I'm not exactly inclined, because the story is just lol, the lifeless and bland world completely kills any and all immersion. And I know the actual content of said class quests will be "go to place x which will take you 10 minutes, kill generic trash x for 1 minute, travel back to origin x, which will take another 10 minutes".
  7. Because I bought a game advertised as MMO, not a bad single player grind fest. If you buy this game with the intent of playing it for one month of bad pve grind in a completely hollow and lifeless world, sure, you probably got your money's worth. Anyone who bought the game expecting it to be an MMO = duped.
  8. You mean the class quests that are literally no different from the shared ones (that amount to 97% of the quests in this game)? Also, I'm playing imperial agent, which probably has one of the best storylines, and the best female voice. Thing is... "best storyline" equals maybe 1 hour of content total, and even then it completely pales in comparison to even the worst single player RPGs. I'm not saying swtor is a bad game, I'm just saying it's average at best, and it WILL NOT maintain long active subs, thanks to design choices that were clearly meant just to keep casuals in the game for 4-6 months. I mean really, the game won't even have server forums, that's about all you need to know to draw a conclusion. It's like paying 60$ for a bad single player RPG, but to add insult to injury, you have to keep paying if you want to play it.
  9. Come back when you're 50, after 100000x lines of dialogue you don't even want to hear anymore for kill x amounts of mobs in place x like the other 900 quests before it. No, blind fanboys are pathetic. You have to be in series self-denial (or just low level) not to realize the game is just another EA blatant money grab operation, where hype and bribing game reviewers is just business as usual. Swtor has extremely short lifespan per player. There is zero end-game, and the game is just choke full of design choices that contribute to it. The game needs like 50% overhaul in several critical areas to make end game have a lifespan... and that's just not gonna happen.
  10. SWTOR really is nothing but mediocre. I expect a very large percentage of subs that started on release will be gone in 2-4 months. Surely new players will keep coming in, but people quit playing at the same rate... and the cycle continues. Once you've done corellia, played @50 for a week, you're like... that's it? PvE is completely meaningless. Crafting is completely meaningless. PvP is lol-easy to acquire. You login, you go pve swap daily in Ilum because pvp'ing there servers absolutely no purpose. World pvp everywhere is dead thanks to retarded bw design choices like low server population caps (to appease the masses of mindless carebears that bring in the $). You go win 3 warzones, in three warzones that you're starting to get sick of. You earn 800 wz commendations and go buy your bags. No luck? Try again tomorrow. When you hit champ gear, it's time to unsub. PvP is really just mediocre at best. It's just pure gear fest, what's even worse is the medal system. There is absolutely zero end-game, and the journey there was equally mediocre. PvE questing in this game is the most lifeless I have seen in an MMO. Gear before 50 is completely irrelevant. You can't do twink pvp. Just massive, huge, empty areas filled with zero-IQ trash mobs. ... it's beyond obvious this game was just meant to cash in $ with hype (ala EA), and to keep the pve masses in just long enough to generate some cash. Just too sad bioware has gone this route.
  11. EAsy and this game being ridiculously easy?
  12. People saying "I earned xxx amounts of credits with cybertech"... what exactly do you benefit from those credits? It's beyond easy to earn 100k+ a day @50. I have absolutely zero need for credits, and I don't even have full champ geared out yet. Gearing up in this game is so beyond carebear friendly that credits are completely irrelevant. There aren't even any real money sinks in place. The only thing I spend credits on is UW mats to craft augmented artifact droid parts for my companion, + VIP pass and the carmobile. After that... nothing. I will be in full champion gear and will have zero need to generate any profit.
  13. PvE in this game is even more horrible and content lacking than pvp. Take off the VO, and all that's left are huge, empty areas filled with zero intelligence/scripting copy-paste mobs.
  14. I found medicine/lethality much, much inferior to pure lethality. Pure lethality does way more damage, and has easier time coping with energy. All the while getting infiltrator to boot (giving them the stealthing capabilities of a concealment op), and a nice 16% crit chance increase to hidden strike/backstab. It's extremely common to go through 18 seconds with two kolto probes on you without getting a single TA with 3x in medical engineering. The majority of time, you only get one extra TA... The duration of probes is also very low when you're in actual combat situations, and refreshing them during combat is suicide (30 energy and two GCDs). Lethality works great (this was the build I used), it's only problem is the setup time. In the time it takes you to START damaging someone with your main attack (cull), a concealment op would have already killed the target.
  15. None, which is why buying them is by far the best choice. I've only found one piece of vendetta gear (gloves) on my character, and it came from a heroic +4 blue loot box quest reward.
  16. 100k is one day at level 50. Also, there are others besides vendetta (scorpion and panther at least).
  17. Removing gear from PvP is not required, bw just needs to remove expertise. PvP @50 without expertise - do zero dmg to champ geared people, and die to a mean look PvP @50 with 200-300 expertise - facemelt anyone who doesn't have pvp gear, no questions asked PvP @50 with 400+ valor - 1vs4+ if they don't have pvp gear ... about sums it up. I really feel sorry for the people who hit 50 after L50 bracket comes online.
  18. Exploiters like these need to get their accounts banned.
  19. I've never left a warzone, and I completely agree. Deserters should lose like 1k valor or some such.
  20. You obviously didn't get the point, and thou art obviously infuriated (you must be in full champion gear thinking you're da sht).
  21. Swtor has the most unskilled mmo pvp I've ever seen, all thanks to expertise. Skill has zero redeeming qualities in this game when your opponent two shots you, while your primary dps ability doesn't even move his health bar, both of you being L50. Way to completely ruin pvp, especially with the lottery bag system.
  22. Where does it drop? Anyone know? Is there some champion boss mob in particular that has a tendency to drop vendetta pieces? For example, on quesh, I've gained the same orange armor three times as a drop from 2x named champions. If you've ever got orange vendetta pieces as drops/loot, please list it here. I'd very much like to collect the entire set, and I've never seen anything besides the helmet on GTN. - I got the gloves from a blue loot box that was a mission reward for a heroic +4 on Hoth.
  23. I just refuse to pick a legacy name all together. The whole system is so bad it's absurd.
  24. Booting people who are doing the place for the first time = lol gtf0. Booting people who have already done the said instance = justifiable.
  25. They do have cooldowns. All it takes to completely gimp an op/scoundrel is to shoot them once with your default attack when they pop out of stealth to kill someone, their stealth is now ~20 secs in cd, during which time they can't be attacked or it goes to cd again. Combat stealth has 2 min cd on a concealment operative. normal stealth attack combat stealth attack restealth -> only if you're now dead and nobody else attacked him ... and that is only possible every 2 mins.
