So this was originally going to be in another thread but I figured that thread was probably going to disappear soon enough anyway so I'll just start a new one. I am by the way hoping the moderator won't remove this because this is not really meant to flame I am merely interested in trying to understand their mind. So here goes:
Note: By user interface I mean for example customization of bars, healthbars, scaling etc... But not refering to LFG-tools or Damage-meter tools.
I do not have to justify my support or non-support of the UI in SW:TOR.
The current UI does everything I need a UI to do, thus it serves me well.
Now can it stand some improvements, some user friendly features, some customization features, yes it sure can.

Yeah, it's totally tropical in space!
Depends which side is facing the sun, the other side, well ...

Theres to ways to get to it. The Way I got it, (and hopefully I can say this in a way that makes sense.) was I went up the road the south of it so I could turn and 'look' like I could jump to the big orange canopy (aka Road and canopy were even). Look at the rocks on your left, follow the left edge and very close there is a gap between the rocks and the building. Jump through that, then it's just a short game of Mario Platforming to finish reaching it. Hopefully, I said this in a way that makes sense. I can't find the video guide I used for it right now.
Patch 1.1 took this easy route out - They put a big rock in the gap and took out the umbrella, while also redoing the rocks. Somebody wanted to make sure the original route was the only way.
APOLOGIES for the wall of text.
Original way: As said in another post travel counter clock wise till you come to a hill, go up the hill and jump along the rocks that give you a cliff to your right and a building to your left. When you come to the pole with the sail tied to it, climb the rocks to your left and turn on sprint, jump to the top of the pole. Then walk along the sail to the other side and drop down to the roof. Run to where the solar array is and drop to the lower roof to the left. Now go to your left and at the knee wall look over and line up on the lower ledge, now jump over, land on the ledge then jump up to the top of the first block. Turn right and go across to the dome with a notch, jump up to its ledge and follow it to the right. Now jump up on the next block, line up with the flange in front of you and make a running jump to that pipe. Back up a little and make a running jump to the roof in front of you.
Now the *&^ %$(*&*& 665433 &^$# hard part. Line up with the joint of the girder and the wall to your left, then move laterally to your right, keeping that joint as the target then make a diagonal running jump to that point on the girder. Once on the girder turn right, move forward till you are on a diagonal line from the girder, to the pipe, to the walkway at the point of it joining the building. Make sure sprint is off, now make a short running jump from the girder to the pipe, back up a little on the pipe and make a running jump to the walkway. You should land on the walkway near the juncture of the walkway wall and the building. Now walk across this walkway to the left.
Now for the second &^% #$@$ &*^%@ $@ @ hard part. Jump on to the knee wall to the left, do this at the joint of the knee wall and the tower, walk back along the wall a little, turn around and make a running jump from near the wall building joint to the pipe. you will need to run and jump straight but as you jump turn to the left a little to make the pipe. back up a little and align to the flange and pipe to the left, jump to the pipe then up and over the wall.
The &^% $#@ *$% part is over. Now head to your left, jump up and over the next wall and follow the second story around clock wise, three-quarters of the way around.
In third person view look for and align on the lower wall, then jump over and land on that wall. Jump to the roof in front of you, then walk around clock wise, half way around, till you see the next lower roof. Jump over the wall to this roof and your prize.
The easy way: get a Sorc to go to the datacron then Force Pull you up.

I just had a shiver run down my spine. For some reason I was reminded of corpse runs where you could loose half a level of more and it would take an extended playing session (I can't go to bed in case my corpse decays) trying to run back (naked of course) to where you died. Of course you might well die in the process and then have another corpse to tag.
Ah yes, the bad, old EQ corpse runs and the legendary Freeport to Quenos run...
For those who think SW:TOR graphics are bad -
And for the WoW fans - WoW Cataclysm - Bolink takes on EQ
SW:TOR is pretty darn good...

Sometimes I want to be able to move more slowly; Datacron collecting sometimes requires you to move quite precisely.
You can, click off sprint... move more slowly.

you get it at the end of voss.
No ya don't, I have not been to Voss yet. I do have the Class quest to go. Completed the class quest on Belsavis then received the hook to rescue one of my pets on Hoth. Went back to Hoth and saw the quest giver on the space station or on the space port. I was a 45 BH at the time, (last night) The Hoth quest gives a real nice mod item.

Typical fanboy. Completely ignore the point of my post and point out a spelling or other minor error instead of responding with a logical or rational counter-argument.
But he did respond logically. He pointed out the flaw(s) in your example(s) and method(s). He pointed out how your presentation was not balanced, how it is biased to one game so to make the other seem worse.

I want Insta-travel between Planets and Fleet.
To hell with Starports and Profession Hangars and Orbital Stations and Ship.
It's boring and stupid.
There, I said it.
If, for some reason you dissagree, thats your right. Personally, I think your nuts.
WoW much? I think they should add waiting for Orbital launch windows to open up.

Can someone please explain to me why we in Switzerland pay by far the highest monthly fee?
US: $14.99USD
Euro: €12.99 = $16.80USD
CHF (Swiss Franc): 20.00CHF = $21.40USD
This is outrageous.
Please justify this.
Swiss Taxes, Value Added Tax, bank fees for currency conversion, import export duties and fees, any of a number of other things unique to Switzerland?
It costs more to pump all the 1 and 0s up and down all those mountains?

You can give them to me
There are vendors on some of the higher level planets and there is a vendor on the Imperial Fleet, in the area where the planet commendation vendors are at.
NOTE: This is Imperial faction info. You did not specify which faction you are.
-
You can't. It's part of the incentive to get you to buy and use a security key. Same reason you get a core-hound in WOW or a 3 pronged ball scratcher in Rift.
Boggles my mind people invest heavily into a game and won't secure their assets with a security key. They are so cheap there is no reason not to own a security key. Outside of being too lazy to enter the numbers.
Some people are to lazy to practice good computer security. Have solid computer and network security practices in place and all these keys/authenticators are not needed.
However, if it makes you feel better go for it. Just do not call those that do have solid computer and network security cheap or lazy because they don't need to spend more money on keys, dongles, authenticators and such.

A major problem they have yet to even talk about: Population Faction Balance.
So you want BW to tell you what class and Faction you can play?
They ain't tell me what Class or Faction I'll play not on my $15.
Now a players choice of Class or Faction is now a game breaking bug... and is BW's fault

Ok, I suppose that's fine. But it shouldn't be there at all. I put it up for sale and then what if a guildy says he wants it? I lose money because I have to take it off. It should be removed
Wait till the sale expires, the maximum time a sale can be live is 2 days, but you can list it for a few hours, a single day or the full two. The longer the listing is for, the higher the security deposit, which you get back when the item sells or the listing expires.

Because IT'S NOT IN. They lied...again. There is no AA.
Maybe you have AA turned on in your video drivers?
Set AA to per Application and AA will be off unless the Application requests it. Don't forget to turn AA on in Preferences, Graphics, in SW:TOR

What the hell to Bounty Hunters spend their money on?
In order, Guns, Armour, Mako
-
Take a closer look at loot drops and quest rewards, many of them have mechanical bits and pieces, these are the items you are looking for.
-
May be you should be asking this question to Customer Service, they are the ones who would know and take action o fix it if it is broken.
-
Why are these in the game. thay are pointless. just let us go to the planet.
Cuts down on all the tourist traffic

Before you all go off the deep end about replacement/upgrade of the graphics/game engine know this EA nor BW own the graphics/game engine. These people do which was bought out by Idea Fabrik
So stop buggin EA/BW about it all they can do is what the license lets them do. So, pass your complaints on to the real owners.

No, they are caused by poor optimization. Again. My cooling is good, I run Crysis, Skyrim etc completely maxed out WITH high texture graphic mods, and i can play it for 2 hours and the temperature is still only around 50-60 celsius tops. But SWtor is the ONLY game that has this problem at high settings and Vsync turned off.
They need to add an FPS cap option, and also you need to check your facts.
I think you might miss-understand what Vsync is and does, short form VSync locks the number of screens feed to your monitor to the refresh rate of your monitor (normally 60Hz). Now this is the max limit of frames displayed on your monitor and can be lower. Turning off VSync just tells the video card to pump out as many frames as it can and to not look for the monitors signal saying it is ready for the next frame.
Now, with VSync turned off the video card can work harder, the GPU and ram temp will rise and this will happen with any program that is not frame limited. There are many games that are frame rate limited, BF 3 is one of them. It is not the game that drives the frame rate; it is the video card, unless the game is frame rate throttled it will pump out frames as fast as it can and the video card will try to display those frames as fast as it can with in the limits of VSync on or off.
Here is a little something to read about VSync.

Game has been out for less than a month. Yes there are some guilds of lvl 50s, and many of them are doing current end game content.
Yea, there is a real good site it is called www.swtor.com it is a direct link.
The good guilds are downing end game content with skill and its members knowing their class, its abilities and how to play in a group.
"Theory - Crafting" what do you mean by this?
Final bit of advise. To be good material for the end game, pick a server near you. Roll a class, try it if you don't like it roll another different class. Then play the class you want till your level 50 and by then maybe you'll be able to meet the requirements of an end game, hardcore guild. You want shortcuts to end game content, rewards and guilds, go play that other game.

I always get a little warm spot in the cackles of my heart when I read a positive post about swtor
Not picking on ya, nor making fun, but I think you meant "cockles" and not "cackles"; "Cockles of my heart."
according to the Merriam - Webster online Dictionary - Cackle means :
1: to make the sharp broken noise or cry characteristic of a hen especially after laying
2: to laugh especially in a harsh or sharp manner
3: chatter

In game type /bug and fill out the form.
What do you people honestly want Bioware to do about faction imbalance?
