  1. That's fine as a starting point, but the Dark Side twists your perceptions, what was a reasonable but opposing viewpoint becomes unreasonable the further you go into the Dark Side. Look at Anakin in the Revenge of the Sith, his views are skewed, and as the film progresses they become more so, until any disagreement is answered with anger and perplection. That is why the Jedi suppress emotion, any strong emotion can lead to a moment of anger, which lead to more moments of anger, and then your corruption.
  2. Now Disney have taken over Star Wars what would you like the next film to be about? I quite like the idea of the Thrawn saga.
  3. Treating as non-canon is too easy a way out, a little thought can create a back story fleshing out a character. For a Pure Blood (Sith) Jedi there are at least five options 1) Ancestors fled Empire and settled into Republic, enduring much prejudice 2) Orphaned during War, never knew Empire, Jedi found you 3) Family/Mentor killed in Sith infighting, be came Jedi to survive 4) Rejected Sith teachings, trying to redeem yourself, Empire considers you traitor 5) Double Agent, pretended to reject Sith teaching to learn Jedi techniques, doesn't fit into story though
  4. Not sure I agree, Dark siders might temper their sadism with pragmatism, but under it all they want to rip to shreds whatever offends them. They just understand that if they destroy everything, they'll have no allies, no resources, and not much chance of achieving their aims. Also not sure they would leave a Light side Sith alone, the majority are Dark siders who view the Light side as either weakness or treason, which makes a Light side Sith story dubious.
  5. Sith Marauder named Stabby, after the sensible one I tried failed
  6. I was reading the thread Species!!!, and thinking how the original Trandoshan character (from the films) looks very similar to a Star Trek race, in fact I think it might even have been the same costume. So I was thinking, If you could import One Species/Race from another series which one would you choose? Personally I would choose the Narns from the Babylon universe, they have distictive outfits, they gave two schools of philosophy, G'Lan is vengence based and would mesh with sith philosophy, G'Quan and later G'Kar is based on justice and balance which would mesh with Jedi teachings, and their Frazi fighters would fit in with the Star wars look.
  7. He isn't he was used as an example of a smuggler, a few statements seem to mix up the Smuggler characters nad Solo though? A bad start doesn't automatically ruin a story, but the smuggler should have gotten more than one glimpse, maybe two or three, with at least one lingering on it while the smuggler briefly remarks on some of the scrapes it's been through.
  8. You've got this on the next page, why start an empty thread? If you're going to start a thread start it about something!!!!
  9. Crab-People from South Park, just for a laugh. Oh and what ever species Yoda was.
  10. But Mandalore refers to Canderous as another person, and Canderous is supposed to acting as a general for the Republics ground forces during Kotor2.
  11. Thanks, I take it that the mandalorian character of Kotor2 is not force awakenable. However I have to point out that Canderous Ordo is from Kotor not Kotor2, that character has assumed the name Mandalore, which is why you go around recruiting mandalorians.
  12. In Kotor2 was there any way of awakening the force in Mandalore? I only ask since I managed with all the others (excluding the Droids since they aren't alive), and this has been bugging me.
  13. Oh, so I just had the wrong planet. Thanks!
  14. Just finished Nar Shadda with Jedi Sage(Consular), and the Jedi mentions Malachor IV, since this is supposed to be 300 years after Kotor 1&2, does this mean that in the Star Wars canon the Exile doesn't destroy it? When playing Kotor2 I always blew it up!
  15. You should be able to beat her into a bloody pulp, or even kill her, this is how Sith Discipline/Justice works. Also while you would be up for punishment yourself, how you discipline the errant party would either aggravate or mitigate your own punishment. However this depends on how long the betrayal had been going on, how it was hidden, and how quickly you dealt with it once discovered. A riskier strategy would be to trace who she sold secrets to, in the hope of compromising them or tracing who they report to, if this information is good enough you might even be promoted.
  16. whether a planet is Savable might not be defined by compatable with Humans, But until the Rakghoul plague is dealable Taris isn't suitable to any Sentients. The planet's Ecosystem is obviously viable, but anybody who hears about Rakghouls and the disease that causes them, and then thinks Taris is nice and colonisable, needs serious psychiatric help.
  17. Well I'll Give you Katarr, since it was destroyed by the Sith to blind the Jedi to them. But Malachor was destroyed by the Republic according to Kotor2, and Alderaan is in the future so doesn't quite count (yet). But I'll admit I can't recall Nathema, is it in the Clone wars Toons. But if I was on a planet beginning with T and the Sith turned up, I'ld worry, Then run before they blew it up.
  18. The Republic seems to spend a lot of time fixing planets that the Sith have Destroyed, remember Telos IV from Kotor2, although Taris isn't that bad. Mind you, the Sith need to learn that you get more out of terrorising a planet than wrecking it, after all they're supposed to run an EMPIRE not a graveyard. PS. why do the planets destroyed all start with T?
