  1. Its not as empty as your server seems to be. When trading was a big thing and bioware fixed the /stuck thing, fo a couple of days peopl were coming out to trad but instead it just turned into a huge battle. Showed what word pvp could be if it were done right....without world pvp though I'm not sure I would want to play this game. Having only 4 wz's to play day in day out....I'm sooooo bored of it already. I will come back when they fix world pvp...

  3. what the OP says is pretty true. The content in the game is shallow and many aspects of this game tend to make me believe bioware pushed to get the game out to make money. I don't think they were so interested in actually making a good product. Don't get me wrong, I loved the my class quest until it got bugged in chapter 2 and never fixed. Seriously nobody can tell you guys what to do with your money but if you truly like to pay to beta test a game, be my guest. It's really sad to say a lot of this stuff for me especially because i'm one of the biggest fan boys of the star wars franchise and was aching to play this game. The honest truth though is this game is horrible. I want to resub, but bioware is gonna have to do a lot before that can happen 1. The game right now is a grind to get gear. Gear that looks like horse **** no less. Seriously why do I want WH gear that looks like I have two giant 1980's style boom boxes attached to my head?? And I used to LOL at jedi knights and how god awful their gear was..then it happened to my class -_- 2. Fix pvp it's **** TTK is all out of whack and seriously I think we can all agree that they ended buffing the most powerful class....and now heals are almost useless 3. Fix world pvp...it's not even existent at the moment due to the idiocy of whoever came up with the Ilum idea. Seriously with faction imbalance the way it is how could that cluster **** of a planet ever be enjoyable for anyone. "guys i got a great idea how about we make players ride around on their mounts looking for armaments!! This is new ground breaking world PVP!" 4. Leads me to my next necessary fix which is faction imbalance 5. Start merging servers, because yeah it would probably be pretty neat for me to play an alt, but when you can't find a group anywhere and there are 3 people on your starting planet whats the use I could go on for days the game is a fail, everyone who defends it, so be it that's your opinion....have fun playing alone....
  4. nothing is wrong with that?? Like the math geniuses that frequent these very forums will tell you there was only a 1.76% increase in dps!! So you were obviously hitting for what 8.1k before 1.2 right?
  5. This is ef true in the case of smuggler/operative. From the start of the game ops can move and stune someone at the same time. The mirror class smuggler had to stand still to use their stun. Obviousy its a major disadvantage in an environment where every second counts. Bioware barely made the fix with this patch. Same thing for the back blast ability there's a long drawn out animation for back blast where back stab is instant...not to mention at launch operative flash grenades hd a shorter cooldown and their skill tree added more damage to their abilities. Yes bioware fixed it but this is common sense stuff that shouldn't be screwed up in the first place. I feel like bioware doesn't play their own game...
  6. Reading comprehension is your friend...use it now being realistic, you obviously have a differing opinion from the majority of the people on here. Thank you for the stats and giving us a different viewpoint we appreciate your tireless breakdown of statistics from the video game. So would you like to continue being a stuck up **** who think's he's god's gift to the internet or have a discussion with me about a game we both obviously like and would like to see survive....??

  8. i'm too lazy and stupid and don't have enough patience to sit around and look up math equations based upon a video game. So can you please explain to me why an ability like demolition round now crits for over 5k when before 1.2 it at the most was hitting for a 3k crit. I'm talking about on an under-geared player. On a geared player it was critting for 2k to 2.5. From what I read in your other posts that doesn't seem like a 1% increase. I'm not a mathematician but those numbers don't quite seem accurate to me. Mind explaining? It's the same thing with back blast, I play a scoundel I could hit a 3k crit at the most. Now i'm doing around 4k....
  9. I agree, and never understood why there was no option of being "neutral" from the start. In keeping with SW lore Bounty Hunters, Smugglers, and even some Jedi work for money not for one faction or the other...it's whoever pays better and serves their purposes. As far as jedi go there's always the one's that use the force but don't have a specific faction either. It makes sense...
  10. pre 1.2 i ran around ilum with a full tank spec commando, i'm a dps scoundrel off heals. we won a 5 v 2 fight because 1. we knew how to play 2. it wasn't a always dps race pre 1.2. I don't care what gear they had 5 v 2 is not usually a fight you will win. Strategy ftw IMO
  11. I don't think that was the sentiment among pvp'ers. One thing everyone complained about was all the stuns. Like I said minor tweaks were needed...but not a complete demolition of a balanced system....
  12. read through every post i have made on these forums. I never cried about the game being unbalanced in pvp until now, my first qq post I have ever made. The game was fine before even though I play a class that was nerfed 2 times I will admit it was necessary. I never complained about sorc's being overpowered. I could 1 v 1 any class in the game and at the same time lose 1 v 1 to any class in the game because it was pretty well balanced before and that's the truth. What bothers me now is no strategy in the wz's....true zerg fest
  13. good point...a server merger would probably be imperative if this were to happen....I do think changes to pvp like this would bring a lot of players back though...
  14. blah blah blah ur statistics and fancy math don't prove anything. There is a statistic to prove a point for any argument. I will go off the eye test. The eye test tells me i magically lost 2k hp after 1.2. Now my attacks being a dps scoundrel got buffed, as did other classes that my friends play. And we are not talking 88 dmg difference. I'm talking about demolition round critting for over 5k now, whereas before it was critting for 3k at the most. Now my backblast does somewhere around 4k dmg when it crits, from about 2500 to 3k at the most before...btw that's not considering heals were nerfed....that's only 2 examples...it's a zerg fest let's call a spade a spade and stop being fan boys.
  15. I posted in another thread about this but was quite pleased with my idea so wanted to make a new thread to see if anyone agreed with me, or i'm just an idiot. I wouldn't be surprised at the latter ne ways on to my idea -Bioware needs to create planets similar to Ilum. Not the way Ilum operates just a planet where the only focus is world pvp. There needs to be several of them. These would be the main features of the planet that would make it fun for world pvp: -Player Housing, and Guild cities. Obviously if you have a certain guild in one specific area of a planet in their own city on that planet it's going to attract opposing faction guilds who have vendettas with them -Implement faction points -Faction points can be gained by killing opposing faction members in open world pvp and succeeding in wz's by being victorious or being a major contributing factor to your team regardless of whether you win or lose. -Faction points can be gained also by raiding on opposing faction open world pvp planets. (Obviously if a raid group were to come to korriban to raid a sith lords ancient tomb it would be beneficial for a sith guild or ops group to throw a wrench in their plans.) This raiding would be rewarded with faction points and crafting schematics. -Make the rewards for faction points awesome. for example, faction bases you can place in your guild cities. Bases would have turrets for defense against attacks. If you destroy an opposing factions base obviously you would be rewarded with a huge amount of faction points. This would create constant game of defending and attacking bases, in guild towns. (I don't know about you but I seem to think this would be absolutely awesome and would have me locked into this game for months) -More faction point rewards would be crafting schematics. Armor, weapons, and new biochem stims with better stats etc. Make a bunch of different designs on armor, a bunch of different weapons. This would get people searching for faction points all day every day. (not to mention that it would solve the whole issue of crafting being irrelevant.) just a couple of ideas that came to mind add more or call me an idiot still I want to hear what you guys think. I have become bored with the game and pvp is stale, no world pvp sucks and doing the same 3 or 4 wz's isn't appealing to me...not to mention i'm not a big fan of the pvp mechanic after 1.2 anyways...but that's a whole different issue...
  16. IMO one way to fix the open world PVP would to create a system similar to what SWG used to have. Implement faction points. and player housing. Additional planets would be needed so accommodate this feature. Give good rewards for having said faction points. I would say armor but the game is already too focused on armor, it's basically an armor grind. How about weapon and armor schematics. That have different designs and give different stats. This would make different crafting skills viable. Then all gear wouldn't be so cookie cutter (this is a complete different issue though ). Anyhow set up some areas where players can go raid, maybe a little bit of pve, a place where opposing faction members can come and try to ruin their progress. Have some of the rewards be a base that is set up on another planet. The longer the base is up the more faction received by the guild that planted the base. Opposing faction can come along and try to destroy it. Set up an ops group to take it down at all times this would get everyone in one faction working together for one common goal TAKE DOWN THE BASE. This would set up some epic open world pvp battles, and more comradery between players in the same faction
  17. I disagree. There's a difference in saying for example. Bioware please fix this issue with my character. Imperial agents my mirror class can move while they stun people. Somewhat unfair that my character has to stand still to use dirty kick. Put's me at a disadvantage. Bioware replies you are right let's fix that. It is fixed, minor tweak makes things more balanced. Now a qq'er. OMG SORCS ARE SO OP'D blah blah blah etc etc OMG HEALS ARE OP NERF THEM!!!!....sorc's were strong, but they were squishy i didn't see a problem with it...heals needed a minor tweak IMO, but when 90% of the community would rather complain than figure out a way to beat that particular class fine I guess you have to appease the "masses"
  18. i'm like most of you don't post too often, and very upset with the state of pvp atm...lol i have a full time job already it's not fun for me to play a game just to grind for gear...pointless...ne ways i would love to see the pvp changed back to the way it was prior to 1.2, still not sure if it would bring me back as I have already unsubbed....that is more of a customer service problem than anything...bioware seem clueless and like most mmos just listen to the qq'ers when they already had a perfectly good game that needed 1 or 2 minor tweaks...but just like every other clueless mmo go out and completely change everything and alienate their biggest player base...lol they don't deserve my $$$
  19. my class quest being bugged since lvl 40. So i can't do any of the daily's and never have seen the ending to my smugglers class quest. That's not the scariest part, the scary thing is turning in 10+ tickets and bioware not giving a flying fu#*

  21. no i play a scoundrel on the republic side. I thought the initial nerf of our crits and surge was necessary and I was still pretty damn strong and could hold my own 1v1...after 1.2 i feel like the class is not much fun...doesn't need a nerf we are weak now and way to easy to knock out of stealth...

QFE!!! love swg there is so much to do in that game...yes the combat in this game is better I have to agree with you but the way SWG was made leaves it open for tons of gameplay before there is nothing left to do...unlike SWG which is basically a grind for gear and that's it...sooo sad bioware could learn a lot from SWG as far as having a lot of content to keep people busy instead of everyone hitting lvl 50 getting their gear and sitting on ilum doing nothing... wish there was more to do in this game!! too bad and no how is it his fault?? lol I wouldn't reroll a character on another server if I had my main on a low pop server. It was probably fine at one point until the game got boring because there was nothing to do so everyone quit. Bioware's fault for not merging the server's sooner...everyone knows they are losing subs like crazy, would be nice to have a good server population so people can actually find groups and do wz's...
  23. they definitely did something to stealth. and yes it was a nerf. I get knocked out of stealth so easily now...before 1.2 I could stay stealth forever and be fine...imo its necessary though because out of stealth i'm a sitting duck squishy as hell and not much sustainable dps without opening with backblast...meh not a big fan of 1.2...
  24. yeah I have to agree...the story is awesome it's a great game. Don't get me wrong things could be a lot better...but for now i'm happy. There's always someone unhappy with their class thinking it could be better...when everyone has the same issues...Seriously i think the game is pretty well rounded already. Only a few tweaks here and there to the classes. Ilum needs to be fixed or more worlds like it added, I think that would alleviate a lot of issues...
