If you got that email i dont think you should have any issues, but Customer service would probably fix it if it doesnt kick in. Just an opinion

Your account must not be banned. To be an active subscriber: •You must have purchased the game and redeemed an official Game Product Registration Code at the Code Redemption Center. •You must have signed up for a recurring subscription using a valid payment method OR redeemed a Game Time Code. I think to play it safe I'de pay and remain Subscribed, meaning Keep your subscription active,you may invalidate your free month if you break your active account status. But the question still remains Will you be charged your next billing cycle? I'm sure they have it worked out, but I personaly wouldnt risk a break in my subscription, it may invalidate your free game time. •You must have signed up for a recurring subscription using a valid payment method OR redeemed a Game Time Code. If your subscription is recurring you shouldnt worry. But it does say your account must be ACTIVE If you dont redeem a game time code and your game time expires in 2 days and there is a break in your subscription you may be excluded. I'm only assuming that not paying your sub between when your time expires and April 22nd will deem you as INACTIVE and you would be excluded

I think it's a no hassle situation , if you are getting the free 30 days It will probably implemented without any special codes or inconvenience,I'm not sure though, It could just be automatic no charge at some point and youle find you didnt have the 14.99 taken for that month, but i'm only guessing. I guess my response didnt really help because I'm guessing or making an assumption. I just thought I read it somewhere in the forum thats its no hassle. Not sure how or when the shedualed free month would be executed, they may email and notify you.

I doubt many people really that upset about the free month. They ARE ENTITLED to express how they feel about the misdirected gesture based on a ridiculouse premise.And they admit its misdirected , otherwise WHY CHANGE it or try to FIX it. I'm sure some 30 day new boy going to get their panties tied in a knot and wave their little cookie around because they are incapable of allowing people the entitlement to express valid dissapointment in an obviouse PR F'Up. Everytime someone expresses a valid and reasonable negative response to a promo F'Up ( Yes a Promo F'up Because they felt a need to try and FIX the F'up and with good reason) there is someone who wasnt effected that screams bloody murder "You Dont Deserve It" You Dont Contribute because of your Gameing Style,work schedual, Life style,you have children ,Your playing the game wrong, My gameing style is right yours is wrong......bla bla bla whine whine whine If you werent effected, eat your little cookie, No one cares that you got your little cookie. Resentful attitudes towards people who are responding to a definate misguided misdirected promo (yes Misguided Misdirected promo that required a FIX) that back fired.Is also misguided misdirected maliciouse unfounded and irrelevant and should be disregarded and devalued as useless opinion as they remain uneffected by this PR F'up that needed a fix. Now I know there are plenty of people that are not skipping around waiving their little cookie around as if their little cookie really is the center point of the argument,But unfotunately there are New boys waiving their little cookie around and scolding people as if people dissaprove that they got their little cookie. No one cares about your little cookie,People are discussing poor public relations that is admittedly poor because it required a fix.Last I heard fixing a mistake is admitting that there is a mistake,you dont fix whats not broken. A promo F'up that required fixing is the issue. Do not worry its not a personal attack on your little cookie....your cookie is safe and sound. Bad promotion that required a fix is the issue.

My position exactly....or manualy reward my self and doubling $14.99 X 2 by taking 2 months off sometime dureing 2012,wont hurt a bit,I do own more than 1 game. I have legacy 4 at the momment and theres no way I'm going to compromise how I choose to play for the exact reasons stated in the above post. I like this game and have no complaints , but what I see here motivates me to give my other games that I put on the back burner some playtime.

The promotion is wrong,and Im not going to change how I play for 14.99 Thats my take on this too, I can give myself plenty of free game time by playing The Witcher Call Of Prypat Deus Ex FallOut New Vegas and quite a few that have been on the back burner. So maybe a few months out of the year I'll unsubscribe and double my free game time.

Never complained or argued with anyone about this game,been pretty content,until this free 30 day thing. no one wants to admit that it was a total f**** up and now there are repercussions. I think alot of the complaints are valid.....of course those who have the free month wont complain, they have no reason to complain.

The only way you could play video games was to go to the local arcade and drop quarters in a machine for very little game time and for a kid it was alot of money for very short entertainment session So 50 cents a day to play swtor no matter how long you play really isnt crap to me. There is more negative responses to the first free month offer based on your level, than there is posative. And the fix for the response is still creating negative responses. And finaly the negative responses are valid because it wasn't a wise choice to descriminate against long term players who are trying to enjoy all aspects of this game then give joe blow who blew through the content who hasnt even been charged his 1st month a free month. thats the issue.

I tell you what If If your so bored at level 50 ,roll a new class,experiment, help others. or just sit at end game with your panties in a knot whineing about how bored you are and weild your pencil like a light saber at everyone who is a bit disgruntled how this free play was implimented. Oh and niether of us use pencils most documents can be typed and printed up on a pc.

Oh goody another veteran mmo player . Nothing in life is free yet you just recieved 30 days of gameplay free because ooooooh boy , your an elite veteran who works so so hard on your video game tacticts and your so special. Any idiot can get to level 50 in this game within a week or 2 so i wouldnt brag too much about being a veteran.

I could easily say you dont need a free 30 days because youve only been playing 30 days and you have a level 50 and have 7 other Alts to compensate you. Based on the fact that youve experienced up to level 50,Why should you be given a free month?Hell you did everything already why on earth would you need a free month? Well I'm pretty sure I could have leveled up to 50 in a couple of weeks,Your right it is easy to level up to 50 In 1 month If thats how you play MMOs. Right now Im legacy 4,Am I going to hussle and compromise how I like to play and rush content for 14.99? no thanks....I'm not going to sweat it.I could easily get Legacy 6 before the 22nd.who knows maybe I'll end up a legacy 6 but its going to be on my terms. I Am NOT mad at those who are level 50 or have level 6 legacy and get the free month, But this whole free month based on levels was wrong, there is nothing "ok" or "right" about it. My g/f plays off and on ,She was here since Pre order and launch, has remained subscribed and paid monthly fee since launch, I told her about this free month thing they did ,First reaction from her was "Well thats not fair" (even though she really could care less) Yet it is a first reaction,And how this kind of reaction was unforseen is beyond me. Ive been gaming for 22 years but for some reason my play style is to absorb and enjoy the art work,environments, the hunts for datacrons,redoing missions I enjoy,savoring storyline and the game play and I have respect for the hard work creating this game and I like Bioware games. I just think the 30 day free gameplay was a major F*** up and the backlash is deserved.

Well not to get in a huge forum debate, but people who have been here since pre launch and have an unbroken consistant subscription are also in a pretty good place to critique how they've been bypassed a free month of gameplay. Yes you've played MMOs for 10 years and have every right to critique the gameplay,but you have only played swtor for 1 month and you have your free month of gameplay, I see why this whole thing wouldnt bother you. Speaking of frustration... Those who have been here 6 months supported the game from prelaunch until now are in a valid position to feel a bit cheated.They arent whiners , they have been loyal to the game and have supported the game since launch,but are penalized because of lifestyle or gameplay style.

I think this is called Whineing Ide hate to see your reaction if you pre-orderedand had a consistant sub since launch lol These are my major problems with the game right now. I started on March 13th, and promptly bought the game one the 16th because of how much I was enjoying it. Since then, I still get massive FPS drops, some get to the point where its nigh unplayable. The AH is a MESS of code that can only be described as a cluster-fsck of stupidity. Ive had my companion just randomly DIE a NUMBER of times. Combat log? Whats that? Oh wait, I cant see what Ive been killed by or how much damage it did to me. Channeled stun = mobs can still hit you in a brief moment WHILE BEING STUNNED. I look at this game, and I see SO MANY elements copy and pasted from other MMOs out there and SUCH GREAT IDEAS turned to utter crap simply because someone said 'I like this, but lets do it half-assed'. I still have 15 days left in my sub, and Im finally lvl 50, but cant even do some of my dailies because the quests are bugged to crap. I dont even DARE use the AH to buy things I need because I cant STAND to look at it and try and figure out WHERE IT IS I WANT or surf through the PAGES to find ONE TYPE of item that isnt there. The sad part? I love this game. The storyline IMMERSED me in a character I THOROUGHLY enjoyed. I did things I would LOVE to do...and yet, here I am. These stories are not enough to hold out against a crappy UI, terrible almost game-shattering gameplay, LACK of support, BUGGED quests, and LACK of features that have existed in MMOs since EQ which I played on a 56k modem! I cant express how much I WANT to keep playing and WANT to love this game but every time I log in and try and do something menial, I get hit with FPS drops/lag/and a slowly building rage that my companion comes back from a crew mission, CLOSES EVERYTHING I HAVE OPEN AND FORCES ME TO ACCEPT (AND THE VOICE DOESNT EVEN MATCH UP!). Little things, and somewhat big things. These are the things that make this MMO disgusting.

If they simply described loyalty as those who pre-ordered and didnt cancel subscription since launch as "loyal"this wouldve gone smoother for them. But who ever thought this idea was a good one couldnt even see the negativity coming? Then you have to cram a game down your throat without tasteing it to prove your worthiness? Bah I'll just play how I choose , maybe ill hit legacy 6 maybe not, but I usualy play games I pay for the way I want because thats what I paid for.

I have an idea, If your under level 50 and lose out on the free month because you arent a level 50 and have to pay 14.99 while level 50s get their free month. You can double your money back by holding on to 14.99 for 2 months in 2012,doesnt matter what months you do this. I guarantee you can double the amount you feel lost by not having a level 50 on April 12th 2012.

I predict that this thread will rile up the maternity ward and we'le need to ship in a bunch of prune gerber and pacifiers and diaper rash ointments.

I dont care If its a Wow Clone because Wow IS a clone,and an old out dated one full of wonderful Disney charactors.Every MMO is a Clone, A Formula, Otherwise Call of Duty could be labeled a DOOM clone because you shoot guns and its in 1st person perspective. Although you can ride a big turkey in WoW if thats your thing.
