  1. He's exactly correct. I rolled a Bounty Hunter after 1.2. Anyone familiar with the early bounty hunter quest rewards knows that you get quite a few lockboxes as rewards, green quality ones. I used to get a few hundred credits a box (I've done the bounty hunter starter area like 5 times). My mission was to go into the swamp, and take care of a rogue accountant for a Hutt. My reward was a lockbox that had less than 70 credits in it... I trekked through a deadly swamp, fought killer robots and mercenaries, cut off a guys head, served it up to his wife and couldn't even buy a Jukebox Token with my reward. Way to take the "bounty" right out of bounty hunter.
  2. Agreed. This needs to be addressed. Not running any slicing missions until I know if this was intended or not. And if it was intentional, why wasn't it in the patch notes?
  3. Cybertech and Artifice were definitely needed. It's too bad only Cybertech made it in.
  4. There is no sensor that provides +5 crit to armormech. The only class that gets a +5 armormech crit is Trooper. EDIT: Beaten to the punch.
  5. Can anyone confirm that augment missions reward mission discoveries? This is mostly what I wanted slicing for, and if I can't cover the cost of the missions with lockboxes, maybe I can sell the augment components to recoup the expense...
  6. I agree. I would like to see a reduction in the cost of the ship droid, specifically. I love to craft and I have many alts, so to me the new ship droid sensors are the most appealing. Problem is, the droid costs 1mil, and the sensor bonuses are not worth THAT much IMO. With 1.2, I'll already have new recipes to train, characters that need speeder training, recruit pvp gear to buy, etc. For the inevitable, "you can do it in X worth of dailies" argument: It takes me about an hour to do my dailies, and I get about 100k for em. I don't do all of them, but that's about all the playtime I have each day. It's depressing to grind dailies for almost two weeks just for this small legacy upgrade. I don't want these fun perks just given to me, but since most players are poor and the crafting bonuses offered by the sensors are not phenomenal and the novelty of having my repair droid just isn't worth $1mil, maybe lower the cost or sell the sensors somewhere on the fleet? Thanks for listening.
  7. What about crafting for Force sake! ? Are there any plans to improve the utility of high end crafting recipes? There's a lot of threads in the crew skills section that lament how useless crafting is at or near end-game, and a lot more about how unreliable the RE system is. There has been developer mention of improving RE, but what about making the crafting crew skills more useful? Enhancements, mods, armorings, hilts, barrels are all overshadowed by end-game pieces that are obtainable very cheaply and very quickly by commendation vendors.
  8. Ya I like Corso too. Most of the companions I've noticed seem to have such a distinct persona (or none at all) and it doesn't always mesh well with how I do things. It's nice to have a likeable companion that's got your back. Like you said, partner in crime. Kira's great too. She's got attitude, and that's very refreshing after hearing all the stuffy jedi-types talk about peace and balance. I absolutely hate Qyzen though. Here they start you out as a consular, basically a diplomat, and they give you a companion who wants to kill everything and hates it when you show mercy.
  9. I love treasure hunting, it reminds me of gambling in d2 and I was an avid gambler. So I love running lockbox missions, getting the occassional blue, orange or even purple. At rank 6 however, I've only seen Abundant missions available. From these all I ever get are credits, greens or relics. So, has ever gotten a blue or purple from a Rank 6 lockbox mission? If so, what?
  10. Gotta say, I really like this idea. My main is level 47 and the only flashpoints I've seen so far are Esseles/Black Talon due to time constraints and my friends not being the same level as I am. I know it's supposed to be massively multiplayer, but most of the time I just can't stand other people, always need rolling for their companions, wanting to skip the cutscenes, or just generally being obnoxious (don't you just love anonymity?). I see too much of this kind of behavior when I group for heroics. I've missed a large part of this game and I'd love to see it. This probably wouldn't / shouldn't be feasible for HM flashpoints which require more coordination and intelligence than your typical AI companion can provide, and that's fine, but it would really give casual players like me a nice way to see the story without having to deal with jerks from pugs. Probably never happen, but it'd be great if it did.
  11. Agreed. At the very least give it a lot more charges and make it last longer. And change the look. I'm tired of the rocks. On an unrelated note; Project. Who buried all these droids and ship parts 6 inches below the topsoil on every planet?
  12. My suggestion is, another type of endgame. Rather than having endless new flashpoints and ops, with the standard choreographed fights, how about adding new types of content? You've given us ships. How about letting us use them for more than just combat missions? Maybe a new kind of gathering involving space exploration, such as letting me attempt to navigate an asteroid field or ship junkyard to discover a rare crystal formation /archaeological find (artifice), or ship debris (scavenging / ship parts). Perhaps a bounty hunter could fulfill a contract on an enemy ship? A smuggler can make a kessel run? I loved Pazaak in Kotor. How about letting us participate in Pazaak tournaments? Prizes can start as something simple like creds and titles and work up to rare weapon crystals. Swoop Racing and Swoop Tournaments? These were a lot of fun in Kotor, maybe bring them back? Let us have and customize our own Swoop bikes, like we do our ship and compete against other players in Swoop Tournaments. We could queue like we do for Warzones. Let us name our ships, and give us a title for it. Lore-wise even Han introduced himself as "Han Solo, Captain of the Millennium Falcon". There's got to be more end-game content than pvp, Ops and Flashpoint progression. This could be another avenue to obtain some end-game gear as well. Be innovative! Why does obtaining the best gear come from Ops or days spent PvPing. Why can't I win it with a great hand of cards, like Han did with the Falcon? Oh and make crafting fun and useful.
  13. Thanks for the feedback everyone! So for Kinetic, it's extra aggro generation after Force Breach, Infiltration it's cheaper and Balance it seems to add up well with Force in Balance for extra aoe damage. And it seems all around useful in pvp to prevent captures. It seems like it would be useful to proc the techniques as well since each enemy would count as a hit. Thanks!
  14. I just turned level 30 and am leveling as Kinetic Combat and I've gotta ask, does anyone use Whirling Blow? Any spec, I'm just curious because it doesn't seem to hit very hard for me and I'm wondering if it's a gear issue, spec issue, underpowered or if I'm just crazy. I'm not crying for buffs or nerfs, just honestly curious. Thanks.
