  2. for dps sorcs/sages: just spec madness? are you really this dumb? people need to stop sitting on the faceroll hybrid specs, you know what made hybrid so good? its EASY , faceroll , no force management required and you press 3 buttons , i've been playing madness lately and it offers allot more towards the actuall game , i only do a little bit less dmg but i can keep people away with my immobalize , my dmg is still 1# and those dots rly arent as bad as people make out to be. full row of dots into a force lightning & people will drop fast. so basically: Good dps sorcs/sages will adapt & be equally strong. GG for healers: when being targetted yourself your usually spamming hot->innervate as any spell will be interupted , you'll still be able to spam small heals at a same speed just less healing so when it comes to that, your not gonna be off much worse. The main issue will be force regen as right now when im a healer im out of force practically all day every day and that is indeed going to be a big problem. However, sorcs have a grip, that means easy scores aka sorcs will be required in rateds regardless of these changes. and im hoping that while the patchnotes are still on PTR they will realise sorcs could use *some* form of safe extra force regen and they will implement it. But we'll have to see. so basically: healers will get quite the nerfs but they wont become useless ****, grip is to overpowered to not use. With that being said stop whining and wait till the patch actually hits to see how bad it is.
  3. you guys seem to be mixing arguments with pvp & pve , i dont think these changes are that bad for pve , since you can consume & just keep a hot up NP, however for pvp these changes are crucial , if your healing some1 else and your on 100% hp with no issues, then once again this is not all to bad. but if you have low force, some1 is hitting you and your forced to either not do anything or consume to be able to cast stuff, then you'll dmg yourself with 15% hp gone combined with an actual dps on you combined with our heals being less effective. thats gonna be really lethal.

  5. Sorcs were IMO really balanced, however REALLY easy to play with this hybrid trolling. which made every1 QQ about sorcs, and now we get unneeded nerfs. Dont get me wrong here tho , the hybrid had to go , lets be honest that **** is so easy i almost fall asleep pressing force lightning-CL-death field over & over & over. i played full madness yesterday all day long, i owned every1 on dmg , 4k death fields, ok dot dmg , 400k+ dmg almost every game. DPS will live, people who know how to play will addapt & pwn every1 anyway. On the healing side however, im not sure what they had in mind. nerfing both the hasted-heals and the force-regen from consumption (you'll be taking 15% dmg every time you consume EVEN with the proc) is gonna be a big hit. we'll be forced to spam smallheals, which due to the buff will give almost 100% crit, but only for the first one casted, and that'll be a +- 3k heal compared to big heals giving 3.3 on hit & 5-6k on crit... healing other people will still be fine , but put some1 on the healer & he'll have one hell of a job surviving vs 2 good dps.
  6. guys face it , hybrid is dead ,im not seeing what your trying to make here. going full madness 3/7/31 (or small variants on it) will be best. I've played it all day yesterday i still topped the dmg meters 400k+ dmg every game. and u even have more utility cuz of immobalize on the dot. and thats before we get another 20% on crushing darkness & so.
  7. this makes no sense at all , the way dps get MORE dps out of pve gear vs expertise, that exact same way wll a healer get MORE healing out of pve gear vs expertise, so going a mix as healer might mean you'll take more dmg , but you also HEAL more. stop being ignortant , mix of pvp & pve is best for ANYONE
  8. having so many abilities means you have to chose what you cast. if you have a slow on your main ability then it means you dont wanna chose when to slow him , you want him to be slowed 24/7 even if hes in range and not running. that means you wanna dumb down the game. DO NOT compare swtor or wow to BLC , i have played BLC on high ratings to , its deff a fun game even tho you only have 6 main abilities. However, those abilities are not everything put together no , you have for example , small fireball- big multiple hitting fireballs - an escape ability - a "cc" ability - and an ultimate ability which is either defensive or offensive depending on your class. BLC DOES NOT have a main ability with a healing reduction with a slow with everything combined either. its a completely diffrent playstyle and that game is all about hitting your skills because you can DODGE anything. the reason SWTOR would be boring if it had 6 abilities is because there is no actual skill in "hitting" the target compared to BLC. learn to keybind and use modifiers if needed. if you can't do this go play a shooter. edit: and to the players calling this a "bioware fail" , wow has even more keybinds required. its been a succesfull game for 7 years. stop crying.

  10. if all your "pvpers" on your server are quitting for this reason then good. Those are not pvpers. Rated WZs=a way to fight for who's best. Who is the better pvper? its not about gear at all. thats just an extra thing , in WoW gear had no requirements either. If you think there were requirements then you are NOT a pvper. the only remotely "hard" to get item was weapon , and for an actual pvper that was a joke to get as well. And for the players that couldnt get that gear, you wouldnt face them anyway because they were bad and low rating . In Swtor you might face them now, but if they are bad then you beat them anyway? Gear being a sign of "skills" has been gone for a long time
  11. i'll make this easier to understand to every1 , mr OP wants his weekly done in 1 day which requires 9 hrs to play , OH NO WHATEVER WILL HE DO!? how about doing your WEEKLY, DURING THE WEEK? oh my, ban me guyz im such a troll. this change means you need to do 10 WZs a day for your daily to be complete , and 5 dailies completed for your weekly to be done , (or even sooner if you do more than 10 WZs a day) this is the EXACT same as ilum. This was not implemented for people who only have 1 hr a day to pvp, this was implemented for the pvpers who actually want to PVP and do Warzones , not ilum afk , those players usually did more than 10/day ANYWAY , GOOD CHANGE. i saw the guild summit pvp parts last night , all in all it looked pretty ok , nothing "ok WZ dead/pvp dead" at all.

What exactly do you need pvp gear for? you only do ilum which on my server is allot of waiting & buffing with allot of lag , so why do you need gear ? in other words, why do you need your daily done at all in the first place? if you dont like WZs then you dont like pvp in this game. So either dont play it at all , take it as it is , or find a different game.
  13. oh no so valor a completely farmable thing will not give me anything at all!? after i so skillfully farmed my valor in ilum pressing a buff!???? Valor Should be an indication of how much time u've spent in pvp which is exactly what it'll be , a mount , a raid leader(asuming your valor means u are experienced). it doesnt need more then that. what theyre doing with pvp is a nice thing dont QQ about stuff just to QQ, the only thing i find a bit sad is that theres so little benefit to being a good pvper gearwise, considering any random player will be full war hero gear in a matter of time. although in the end gear is irrelevant anyways since skill>anything so all in all it seems pretty g00d to me
  14. the only thing im worried about is people queuing up for solo ranked to get some easy War hero gear when they dont have the skills OR the gear for it instantly making your team a man down cuz lets be honest , some1 in half centurion/champion gear (this is still relatively ok gear considering i wouldnt be surprised people with full lvling gear can que to) still can't do **** to some1 rocking BM/rakata gear.
  15. first off, WoW claiming arena was a bad thing has to be put into context. the only reason they thought it was a bad thing is because its been out since TBC and up to this day they are still working 24/7 on balancing it out , the balancing never ends , WAAAY to much work for them. Arena itself was fine , actually made pvp worth smthing in the game. Same with rated WZs. If you do not want rated WZs then you are not a pvper , i couldnt care less about your 1 WZ a day to slaughter people who can't play for ****. People who are calling "going on 1 target with 4 people" 0 skill , how about you counter them with 4 people on one of theirs , and ontop of that your healers actually use SKILL , not an ability but SKILLS to keep people up and survive. secondly , the whole "i just want to solo play and kill other people" , ok go play a shooter. dont need to say more than this. 3rd, the gear? i personally dont even need gear , i just want a ranking system. if gear would be introduced tho then i wouldnt even find it unreasonable tho. its a reward for playing a teamgame. warzones are 8v8 , not 8x 1v1.
  16. my mate plays a sniper and he completely *********** wrecks people , ofc he might not do that much dmg on a tank with defensive cds up ,but WHO WOULD? lol... sniper is by far the most burst dmg in the game and if full gear & played right deff a nice benefit to your raid. a well played sniper can easily **** healers NP. and once healers are dead you can deal with the tanks who handle the ball no problem anyway.
  17. the only reason they thought arena's were a bad idea is that the game was originally a pve game and because of arena's they had to tweek & balance the game 24/7 which was an impossible task. sometimes it would be close to perfect and then the new tiers come up , X scales better than Y , PROBLEMS AGAIN. Arena's made WoW an E-sport game and deff made WoW a lot more famous , this was not a bad thing.

People who say arena will ruin the game clearly werent very good at pvp in WoW, Arena is no matter how u call it the best thing to happen pvp-wise in WoW. it made pvp have a place where skills were the main requirement (obviously some classes were worse than others but thats inevitable). both in TBC & wotlk i enjoyed arena and it was the only reason i actually played the game. im not saying they should copy arena as a whole, or even give arena-specific gear. But what they should do is make some sort of arena where its a 3v3 and the objective is simply defeat the other team. If for some reason you dont like this then you dont play it. I also think there should be rated warzones so thats a place for u possibly.(and from what i've heard thats incomming soon'ish) if you dont like the whole "rated" both warzones or arena then i dont understand why you call urself a pvper or even enter into the discussion about wether or not they should be implemented because this does not affect you. /signed bring arena's now!
  19. i play a sorc myself and i think they might be slightly to strong right now. However no where close to "stun & regular rotation=win". ofc if you leave a sorc alone , deff if he specs for some mad *** burst dmg he'll be able to kill you *relatively* fast , im talking still 10 seconds AT LEAST with spamcasts. but if you start interupting its allot more diffult. its like saying Tracer missiles are overpowered , they are not , they are overpowered when left alone , but if you interupt it then they can't do ****. and btw , only reason people are seeing sorcs as OMG OP *** is because when you get ***** half the time its gonna be a sorc cuz its so overpopulated combined with U not knowing how to play against it. i've seen plenty of other classes destroy the intire warzone to. the only thing they should do is tweak some of the abilities a lil bit BUT change one of the more anoying issues, like the whole medal system I personally think they should have made the medals , 1x medal: "score a dmg OR heal crit of 2.5" , thats ONE medal , not 1 medal 2.5k crit , 1 medal 2.5k heal. Then 1 medal for dealing dmg/healing a combined amount of 75k , 300k, possibly adding in the "defense" stuff in here to , wich means that each class should have the exact same amount of effort needed to receive medals.

  21. so today i come home , rdy to get my dailies sorted. The first 4 warzones i enter ALL with a 2-5 minute queue time, plenty of time to find me a nice newly started warzone. J/K LETS DROP EM IN A HALFDONE LOSING WARZONE. 4 matches in a row was i joined in a warzone where its huttball -> 0-2 behind with a rly bad team or voidstar where our round has just finished where we pushed 0 gates which basically means auto-loss. I see very little QQ about the fact that you can leave a warzone with very little downsides to it. it seems like people are simply entering warzones and at the slightest possibly of a loss they leave and requeue , they get teleported to imperial fleet? oh boy they were probably afking there anyway. i've had matches where in the end the scoreboard shows 25 allies because thats how many people were in my team *AT ONE POINT* but they all simply left and got replaced. This is the main reason why you lose games to. you get into a game vs fairly deccent players , and rather than having a good fight people just afk leave & hop into a new one hoping to get noobs against them for a free win. sorry for the wall of text , just raging and i dnno why i even bother to play a warzone alone sometimes. What do you guys think about this issue???
  22. i know how u feel , after a good 2 hrs of playing i ended up with 2 wins & few loses, not to bad i suppose , being on 2/3 for my daily & 8/9 for my weekly i keep on playing. Over the next 4 hours i had a losing streak of 8, to finally win one after that and guess what.... after the victory my daily/weekly bug out and remain on 2/3 & 8/9 , i then played a lil bit more to eventually after 4 more loses finally complete my quests. the joke is that i can't personally carry these games due to only being max lvl for a small time. However even with lacking gear i still end up top 3 in almost all my warzones. it feels like theres so many people with full gear that just have no idea what they are doing and cannot pull the most out of there class & it rly frustrates me. i even had a game of huttball where in the first 30 seconds of the game i managed to score , my intire team staying back not helping me apart from 1 guy , so that means almost our intire team was between our base and the ball spawnpoint. After i had scored it took the enemy a whole 15 seconds to score with my team doing absolutely nothing , me being at the opponents side there was no way i could obviously get back in time. HOW BAD CAN A TEAM GET!? not to mention after a 7 losing streak you enter a warzone thats 0-3 behind and with not enough players on your side that just makes me ragequit so hard ^..^

    im lvl 42 sorc atm , and ofc we dont hit hard but i dont have a lot of trouble killing stuff nor do i consider myself a glass cannon , we have cloth armor sure , but we have insta slows , if you spec madness u get a 2 sec immobalize , an instant whirlwind CC followed by a 2 sec stun if this whirlwind breaks+a shield on u 24/7 whenever possible, +the ability to dot/slow & kite-heal back up & then finish him off with a death field/force lightning. in short , it sux to not be able to crit for 5k+ but i honestly dont mind at all with the way my class works atm.
