  1. Problem: 1. Players want to have info on how they're performing damage-/healing-wise 2. Players don't want to be discriminated in runs because of these meters Solution: Put the DPS meters on the training dummies. Make the meter visible to everyone, BUT don't put them anywhere else. 1. Want to audition a recruit? Watch them whack that dummy and pump up the meter. 2. Want to see if your rotation/build is good? Just keep beating that dummy.
  2. I haven't tried sacrificing a goat yet. My cat might have to do if I can't find one.
  3. Favorite game experience. PvP - The resolve/cc cap indicator PvE Wise - being able to bone almost any quest NPC i deal with Favorite Content - the hunt for datacrons - the rest, it's just like wow with laser guns and light sabers Favorite Class and Skill - Sith Juggernaut, reminds me so much of my Warrior in WoW Republic or Empire - Horde! Lok'tar Ogar!
  4. I asked about this in fleet before, asking if there's a place like Goldshire or the front of stormwind/orgrimmar where people of the same faction hang out to just duel and have fun. I didn't get a response and got ridiculed for being a wow fanboy instead. +1 on this, really need this.
  5. I wonder if they would let us use gummy bears and jelly beans instead of crystals for weapon mods? That would be awesome! Rainbow crystal please?
  6. Is this possible? Just for the heck of it or for those who want something new to try after leveling so many alts.
  7. this won't work for SWTOR. an important requirement is missing... you first need to have friends who used to play and enjoy the game. lol.
  8. unfortunately, there's nothing like that in this game. you can't get on the opposing faction's fleet, nor on their planet (tython, korriban, ord, hutt). i don't even think you can see/access/target their leaders.
  9. he's complaining cos he's not enjoying the game lol maybe you need a different mindset for a while. don't think MMO, think single player. try rolling in an RP server and try trolling in game while staying in character. it's very entertaining.
  10. This is why I stopped raiding in Cata. The epic feeling of a deep storyline just wasn't there. But then again, Warcraft 3 and getting into WoW, it was all about Arthas and his fall from grace.
  11. suggestions on making world pvp work 1. make quest zones and objectives overlap, the more we encounter each other, the higher the possibility of getting into battle. 2. create points that can be captured that provide resources/buffs/bonuses in a zone 3. quest that requires you to protect an NPC that is being targeted by the other faction 4. give quests to both sides that require farming of a limited resource or mob
  12. just an FYI, iOS is a stripped down OS X. it's just running with a different set of drivers, compiled against an ARM processor, and a different UI layer. with regards to mac gaming, it's already picking up, but still not up there when compared to PC gaming. i'm fine with having to run with bootcamp, storage space is cheap nowadays. it's a tiny inconvenience for me. although if they could come up with an OS X native client, it would really be great.
  13. you deserve a big fat cookie, my friend +1000
  14. wow, you guys already have your ~50ms pings and still complain about maintenance? you folks are lucky you're not from some asian country not getting DECENT connectivity to the supposedly asia pacific servers.
  15. new club member. game time ran out today. will renew on 1.2 for a month, see how it goes. will keep watch of the forum/updates/news though. also going back to level a rogue via PvP (that works, makes sense) in WoW.
  16. +1 on this. "lacks some features" ? that has to be the biggest understatement here. a step above wow in 1.2? nope. at least, not yet. maybe when they reach 2.0. just ran out of game time today. will come back for a month in 1.2 to see how it goes. will just keep watching the forums for updates.
  17. Until logs are out and balancing is done, anyone's guess and opinion on which class is suitable for damage or not is pointless. If you think otherwise, can't help you there. Try playing other MMOs, might educate you a bit.
  18. "Role: Tank, Damage" -- selection screen Yeah, reading comprehension is such a scarce commodity nowadays. I'm done with your nonsense.
  19. better file a ticket against BW, tell them to correct the "Role: Tank, Damage" description entry in the class selection screen for Juggernaut/Guardian. while you're at it, also tell them that they don't know what they're doing with the class.
  20. 1 big cookie for you dude. GTN/AH/whatever, it just sucks big time to use this sh*t. selling is easy, but finding stuff is soooo daaaaamn annoying. BW, don't try to reinvent the wheel by making a square one. take all the good stuff from other games and improve on it, not the other way around. being unique and having your own isn't always a good thing.
  21. Here's a good list of things to expect for 1.2: http://taugrim.com/2012/03/05/quick-hits-from-the-swtor-guild-summit/
  22. +1 orbital stations are a big f*ck*n waste of time. remove all: airlocks orbital stations hangar add: quick travel point to you f*ck*n ship i know that some quests are actually started within orbital stations. move them elsewhere. whoever in BW thought that going through 4 one-minute-long load screens just to travel from planet to planet should be slapped in the face first thing in the morning, everyday.
  23. I'm pretty sure one of the deciding factors in placing servers in AU is the population of AU/NZ users/players compared to the rest of Asia. I'm guessing that even with SG + HK + others combined, AU/NZ have more players significantly.
  24. whether the dev team was hit or not, layoffs still mean cutting down on costs which is driven by the decrease in revenue. losing ~2m subs for blizz is an automatic decrease of ~30m/month revenue. so to increase profit, they trim down, make shareholders happy. i'm hoping that it is indeed true that the game dev teams were unaffected. things should look good again for the company come MoP and D3 launch. Yes, MoP will bring back subs because people will be curious (even the haters). The same way haters of SWTOR keep playing SWTOR.
