    Sorc shield bug?

Get him! *harpoons the Sith* We be fishing for sith; and we'll be eating fine tonight!
  2. Indeed - Such games like Age of Conan were great before they changed how the combat worked - making all the melee classes 2nd rate killers.
  3. Is it really that hard to press tab, and hit an instant skill such as a grenade or damage over time ability?
  4. Yeah! Haven't you played the New Super Mario? You can play four players, and you can pick up your team mates. You can toss your friends into pits, or jump into the pit with them, or toss them while in midair and double jump back to the ground while your friend dies in a dark hole. ahem....
  5. Heh, yeah when they nerfed the pre-loading melee combos, it makes the ranged classes godly. Man I hated the pvp on a melee class after that.

    Sorc shield bug?

The shield can take a ton of damage, add in the fact they can add +20% damage absorbing to the shield with skill points, they can do a ton. The best thing to do is stun them as soon as their shield drops, they will die very quickly without their shields. The shield is the only thing that keeps them alive from spike damage. Just don't expect to melee-spike them if they aren't stunned. They will just AoE knock-back you, then stun / force run away.
  7. It would be nice for something around: 10-25 25-49 50 Also if matches start, and there are empty slots - have reinforcements with no restrictions to levels; So the delay isn't crazy.
  8. It's fairly easy to get tons of medals as it is. When I use one of my healers I tend to get around 5-8 Medals per match. Like other people said you're not a healer, you're a person who main role is healing, but not limited to it. Meaning when your foe is getting shot down, help finish them off - save yourself power, it's a lot easier to kill the enemy and fully stop the damage then attempt to heal through it. As for when the enemy isn't near death - toss a grenade, a damage over time ability, anything instant that will help your tanks/dps get the advantage over the enemy, while doing your primary role - healing. I play all three roles, and the whole "tanks have it easy" isn't true. tanks have lower damage than dps, so we rely on our defense to outlive our foes. Now add in the fact our protection makes us receive 50% of our protected player's incoming damage, we're likely to be taking 150% damage, nearly always, since AoE come into play often. Add in the fact that often you won't get many people healing; in a pick up group at least. You're taking a far greater amount of damage, without a way to make up for it. So yes they get "easy" medals but they also die a lot faster while getting it. As for the dps -it's pretty easy to get medals - but then again dps doesn't have the protection of a tank or strong in-combat self heals that the healers have access to. All three roles have their strengths and weaknesses, just don't get locked into thinking that if you're a healer you can just sit back and spam a healing key.
  9. Nah you got it wrong, the four man premades are fair "enough" - yes it gives them an advantage but it also allows people to group together with friends. I myself only doing pre-mades like 1/10 matches of the matches I do - there are advantages given when you do - but it's not an auto win. The problem is the people on these forums that want full group - premades. Now that is a problem. The majority of pugs will just get rolled. Wheres the fun in a no win scenario? Kirk said there isn't that's why he changed the "rules". So if they want to have their premades, give it to them; but make them play against other premades and have no reinforcements from random players. if they want reinforcements make them /invite their friends into the matches to fill the spots.
  10. Well hello again topic about advantages in Huttball. There are many ways to stop the ball carrier - the sheer amount of dps a group can put out - add in the fact many players refuse to pass the ball, means you can kill them before they can react. If you're having trouble killing the ball carrier - stop going after him, do yourself a favor and turn around and kick the healer behind you down the ramp, allowing the rest of your group to kill the carrier without a healer slowing them down. Do you want to kill a carrier quickly - just pull them into a fire, then give them a stun - they will be dead before they can even pass the ball. As for the people who run through the fire/acid just stun them, stop /laugh; and run along as they die in seconds. By the time you stun them any ways they have already took the first 1/3 damage to their health. Add 1 second for a quick reaction time for the CC release, and another second as they panic to get out - they are dead.
  11. See that's all most people want - There is no fun at all in being forced to play against or with (being a reinforcement) premade groups. It's just a boring waste of time. If I wanted to fight pre-made vs Pre-made I would be doing open world PVP.
  12. If you want what other mmorpgs have, then play those mmorpg. The only time premades are alright is when they have to queue against their own kind. That means no reinforcements - we don't want to join you - and no versing random pugs at all. Sadly when they add full group premades to MMORPGs they never think of what they are doing. Which means a lot of players will just stop signing up for PVP, since they will just face another group of 8 50's in PVP gear. This just leads to the forums posts about "nerf this" "nerf that" I can't kill the premade groups since they are too strong, so nerf the class that is most played of them. It's just a mess of people getting angry about loosing. If you so badly want to play with all your friends, why aren't you doing open world pvp. Go do your 80 vs 80 premades.

    Boycotting PVP

If you play against a large group of 50's, just wait 5mins and they will be in a match. Now you will be with a whole new set of people. If you leave the queue open you'll just keep getting paired up with them.
  14. Go play a different game then - this isn't some FPS - this is a mmorpg, meaning there are more people than just your guild. If you want pre-mades do the four person groups, and stop QQing as you like to say.
  15. If you so badly want some crazy high number vs another high number, why are you playing a war zone; heck why are you playing a mmorpg in general. If you group those numbers in a mmorpg it's going to be a lag fest; You should be playing battlefield 3 or something... As it stands four is already high enough as it is. Having four people using voice chat to call out targets, means that the people will be killed at a fair bit faster rate than a pick up group can. Having eight people would pretty much means you get a victory each round. But that logic alone, this isn't a case of you wanting more of your guild members in your group per made; but more of you're just upset you aren't winning all the time. I would prefer not to be rude, but your ignorance will mess over a lot of people's enjoyment - so feel free to hit "log out" up at the top of the screen.
  16. Well companions are as the name says, companions.... they aren't your pets, they are your partners. Your pets on the other hand, are any droids, etc that are non-combatants, who merely follow you around. If you wish not to take part in working with your companions, you will miss out on profits, crafting, story line, balanced content, and pretty much the essence of the game. Have fun!
  17. I would guess the extra costs, and supervision required. After all give some people the ability to make a picture everybody is forced to see, and trouble can brew. Honestly I doubt they care, nor do I for that matter.
  18. If you want to take things out of context; breathing is situational too. The topic was about using the chat features, which makes the use of /say situational, since you won't talk in say to somebody on another planet, at least I hope you did not try so. Having the "basics" you speak of, aren't a requirement to be a mmorpg, as such they are extra features; though I agree I would appreciate having them, it doesn't change the fact, it's not mandatory.
  19. Fixed! Don't let age or gender trick you; it goes both ways.
  20. Well the companions go strongly along with the story line, if you want a certain companion race, you'll have to play the class that gives it. That or wait for the time they raise the level cap, and see if they add more companions.
  21. It's not useless, it's merely situational.
  22. Well I'm a male, though I roll my character of both genders. My point is, I very rarely have to inform other people I am a male playing a female character, since it's just common to think that. After all many males prefer a "pretty" avatar, over a scruffy looking nerf herder. As for myself, the guild I run is just under half filled with females, with none of those "vent events" you speak of. Though our guild came from lotro, where the general community was above such "cat calls" behaviorism's. I guess the point I'm trying to make is, if you're having discomfort with the group of people you're referring to; you should find a new group to spend your time with. Their are millions of people playing SWTOR, don't let a small population of them, neglect your enjoyment of this great game.
