  1. Updated for Healer in group 2 and also we could use a few back up members as well, we are looking for casual members to run flashpoints and other things outside of progressive operations. Whisper anyone in guild to seek an officer if you have any questions!
  2. Still recruiting, have evolved to two nights a week to get both S & V and TFB done. We are also recruiting social members who know their way around the game decently well for HMs, PvP or other casual content.
  3. We have Nightmare TFB and then SV coming in now, and have evolved to doing 16s and 8s now. We are seeking a permanent healer for group 2 and an occasional tank/dps fill in for scheduled absenses. Group 1 has cleared TFB/TC and SV HM and Grp 2 is into the HMs now as well. While we understand life gets in the way occasionally, and sometimes that means you can't communicate it, we do expect solid attendance without arranging it prior to the run. We raid two nights a week from 8-11pm EST/server and with limited time we expect everyone to put forth their full effort to be there on time and prepared for every fight. Also, being that this IS a game, we do try to enjoy ourselves in the operations and other activites but not when it causes uselesss wipes or wasted time.   4. sorry, so bringing an idea up that i've seen actively used in other mmos is total evil and elitist. check. so using gamer terminologies make me an elitist. cool. and no one argues that its succesfully used in other MMOs. well. last time i'll visit the suggestion box after talking to CS. thanks for your lovely feedback on how elitist i am instead.
  5. My bad for thinking this was a suggestion forum. you're right, I didn't give the extended story of how we did try to teach it to him. I gave the facts, not the QQ of how some players feel entitled to do anything regardless of experience or gear levels. there's a progression of learning, gearing and moving up through content as those things improve. all I was saying was that it isn't hard ( since there are already ratings on items) to add a gate of sorts to prevent people from running content their gear and perhaps experience doesn't support. so restrict groupfinder participants from doing their normal rotations and other such things to coddle newer players. Even some type of legacy wide marker to require a completion of a normal of an instance before entering the hard mode version. I'm really not asking a lot here and I'm not going to hold someones hand to teach them how to pick up their tio gear when there are quests in the game (and guides on forums) to do just that. I give my share of tips and help to those newer and none of these suggestions are outrageous. If all your going to do is complain that i'm not coddling people enough, move to another thread, please and thank you. I'm putting a suggestion up and its not a bad one in my experience.
  6. I am interested to know why we do not have a gear gating system to allow access to harder content, particularly in groupfinder content. If tanks are meant to tank, and dps are meant to not (as an in example from my experiences as of late) then to assist that there needs to be something in place preventing a new 50, with some pre-40 gear still on from being tossed into kaon under siege with dps who have 8 k more health. The group I am most bothered with had a denova geared sentinel, a rakata/deno slinger dps, and myself as a deno/dg sage healer. The poor tank had 15.7k health fully buffed sans stim. the dps had 21k and 23k. it took all of my force usage and cds to get thru that place with the dps tanking because 1)the tank didn't know the place 2)he couldn't maintain threat between taunts 3)it took more to heal him than the dps. We wiped our fair share due to lack of mob control, but we completed it. With the expansion coming, I'm concerned for the groups I will find myself in when I really want the flashpoint to be successful and not worry that i'm failing due to not bringing enough to the group to complete is successfully. Will there be any system in place any time soon to prevent people with too little gear from queuing for content of their level that they are not geared for?

  8. agreed, JC server 'logging into selected server' is as far as i'm getting. completely stalled and unresponsive add: finally even achieved error 4, and kicked back to server menu

Given the right schedules from our incoming people, we are intending on going back to 16 man raiding when our roster allows it. Currently 5/5 HM TfB and 1/4 NiM EC from the first night in. For our ops teams we are open to all roles and classes, and seek individuals with good additudes and skill. Gear is of course nice-but doesn't make the player.   13. so... 8/13 is his last post here....where are all the other promised updates? I hate to have to look thru so many forums just to see what movement is possibly occuring on the game. GAH!!!

  15. I'm a little bummed that the resolve system is still in place, but i'll have to play it before I can bash it. The mechanics changes look interesting, I look forward to seeing how it plays out. Did we get a timeline for 1.4 drop? I haven't seen any other than most thinking September as indicated last month. Wait, after reading this again, they are actually making what most people complain about with resolve-the stun lock and failure of the resolve system- even worse! I bit more upset, hoping its better than they are saying, cause if i'm reading it right, I'm not going to pvp anymore. Heals get locked enough, now they chain lock even better, nice.

Not only is it similar to the other classes for having a limiting factor, but if you have an issue using only 600 force, you are not playing right. at least from a healer perspective, you should ideally have the spec for the no-debuff sacrifice anyway to encourage use of it. it totally creates an unlimited force pool if you use it as designed. I have played wow for a fair while, so I can appreciate the idea you are suggesting, but that would corner us to use that instead of power for a better return, and I think give a lot more variables for the devs to put into play for fight mechanics. then you'd have every other resource user complaining 'they have this, i want my resource to be boosted by my main stat!' until swtor gets seasoned with a few more years I don't really see this as an option since that would add countless dev hours to their work load to rebalance fights and whatnot. I can't say its never happening, just not til the big boy pants fit the game
