  1. operatives still the highest front loaded burst in the game. I suspect that once rated WZs come out the QQ will return. Good ops can still burst down BM geared players within seconds. this will be critical when high ELO players learn to burst down the tank and CC the healer.
  2. Healing companion pulls more HPS than a healing scoundrel. That is a fact.
  3. Ok, so we are definitely due for HUGE buffs in 1.2 since we have a 50+ page thread of people in utter agreement about how we are the worst class at everything. I expect to see some MASSIVE damage buffs and MASSIVE healing buffs.

  5. What do the devs think about burst damage currently in the game? There are still some classes that are incredibly frontloaded (ops/scoundrels) and bring very little outside of that. Any chance we will see the aforementioned classes move away from being so reliant on getting off their stealth openers?
  6. is this even a discussion? the feature is in there to help out unorangized pug groups when fighting premades. If you were fighting a good premade you would be cc'd/focus regardless.
  7. its going to be a dmg nerf for watchmen sents and most likely an ability that grants immunity to either stuns, snares or knockbacks for a short duration.
  8. as a guardian, tracer spammers are one of my easiest fights.
  9. most likely nerf to pyrotech dmg output and merc healer survivability.

  13. open world pvp will always fail. people will always find someway to cheese the system. name the last world pvp that was a great success and why aren't you playing it now? Successful OWPVP is done through player driven events. Do you seriously think you should be rewarded for Zerg vs Zerg?
  14. very strong ability, though I clip it always after the 2nd strike.
  15. you do an excellent job of making the spec, and yourself look completely terrible.
  16. this happens when the charge is parried/dodged. when this happens vs sorcs it means they are talented into their root break and more of a server/client communication issue.
  17. game is fine w/o macros, though a guardian leap macro that will leap to the target of target would be nice.
  18. in PvP you want to clip it after the second strike, immediately move to cut off your cast and use another ability right after. waiting for the 3rd strike is a dps loss.
  19. whatever works for you. sadly there is no benchmark in this game, pve is a joke - the worst guilds on my server can clear nightmare mode and pvp has no ELO system. In a world like this technically any spec can "work". Just by looking at your PvP parses I can tell from my standpoint that you are under performing. Even without 1-2 healers queuing to me, I consistently get higher numbers across the board doing my daily while eating dinner at the same time. but i mean, no one cares, no one is going to judge you when there really is no bar set in this game.
  20. unfortunately there is no reason to go hybrid as a guardian. you would get more out of your spec if people would just stop making stuff up to be a special snowflake when you can spec 31 pts deep into any tree to much greater effect. There is no "best of both worlds" for guardians as there is with sorcs/sages. In fact, sorc/sages have the last viable hybrid build in the game. You don't become a "jack of all trades" when you go hybrid as a Guardian, you just simply become lackluster with all roles.
  21. I hope Bioware fixes this issue before the release of "rated warzones" when winning/losing actually matters, or the community is going to be in for a very frustrating pvp experience where proper timing, surgical precision, and good positioning... will make or break games.
  22. I recently watched this pvp video today and I wanted to point out one of perhaps the most glaring, yet least talked about issues in the game. Here is one example, but things like this happens all the time against moving enemies: Also here, later on in the video: This is absolutely unacceptable... Look what happens when the player saps/tranquilizes an enemy player. They are supposedly "stunned" but yet magically they suddenly teleport to a different position 5 seconds later. Something really stinks in this game and it affects melee the most. There is something horribly wrong with how the client communicates with the server and the other way around. This should not be happening. I have not seen it in any MMO and until this issue is fixed, "competitive" pvp ( should it ever come ) will be a complete joke. How many times have you lined up the perfect knockback just to see your target fly in a totally different direction... How many times have you tried to get behind an enemy just to find out that you arent "actually" behind them according to the server... .. or rooted someone and have them teleport across the screen.
