  1. You still miss reading101. I point out how your conclusions are lacking because your conditions are PvP based, whereas this is a PvE based games. It was used in comparison to your rants. Some Modern MMO's don't also have a huge franchise behind it. Star Wars franchise was popular long before this game came out, so it has a huge fanbase to back it up. What were the other MMO's franchises like before they developed, hmm? Different formula to consider, kiddo. And some people argue WoW's pvp is crap, yet the game is prospering pretty well. Points from you mean nothing to me. I only care of the opinions from logical and intelligent individuals. You currently offer amusement.
  2. You're the one who said, to "Save the game", a certain condition must happen. Perhaps you should define what "saving the game" means first? And you're still basing SWTOR's survival entirely on the PvP crowd, which you have absolutely no idea how big or small that crowd is. You're trying to create fact from nothing, and trying to switch the subject to fit your argument. I know you're butthurt from lacking logic, but it is what it is.
  3. The issue that people are communicating for imbalance is more specific to objectives which may favor the heavy populated faction, and is in direct competition for. This is where the biggest issue with imbalance lies (aka, Ilum). PvE objects are not in direct competition with the other faction where it makes a huge difference. If the availability of Operations and Flashpoints were dependent upon which faction owns a specific objective, then it will be a huge issue. I would also argue that PvErs in Swtor may be more inclined to switch factions for PvE content/storyline as their motivation, whereas strict PvPers may not. So imbalance issues "forcing" players to switch sides is likely less of an issue for PvEers.
  4. Speaking of school, you need some comprehension lessons. You specifically said to "Save the game", people need to roll Repub. So again, I say, that is only the case if this was a PvP specific game whereas Imbalance issues matter so much that it can destroy the game. But because this is NOT a PvP specific game, rolling repub or not, is not likely to cause the game to die, nor save it. Get it yet, kid?
  5. I believe a lot of people mistaken the Heavy Armor mitigation with the Bubble on CD that Heavy Armor classes tend to have.
  6. I suppose there are exceptions. You should see Chinese Chess from 80yr old Chinese guys outside the Chinatown Gardens... Mah Jong is 1000x worse. But I'm not sure if that's technically considered a sport...
  7. They don't insist on that happening, that's just your opinion on the issue. You really think that by disabling /say they won't figure out how to work with each other, or insult each other if they wanted to? I've been negatively emoted in other games where direct communication isn't available. Or someone can emote to a point where they can cooperate on an objective. Same thing, and it happens. You clearly have an issue with their insults and taunts, or you wouldn't be making this thread.
  8. So you can't deal with some taunts, so you want the game to cater to you? How about try anger management and not let what people say affect you so badly? I'd try that first. And it's not like exactly a pleasant person to talk to either. Read your posts lately?
  9. Speaking of loudest idiots, have you looked in the mirror? It's one thing for people trying to nerf a class/skill, but You're asking them to FIX "/Say" for crying out loud... REALLY? How is this even any better? Have you even read what you QQ'd about lately? Are you this completely oblivious to how hypocritcal you sound?
  10. Ok, I tried to help, but you've proven there's really no reasoning with you. You were just given an option to avoid an issue that YOU found annoying. There's nothing broken about the /Say system to be "Fixed". People can and will stay stupid things in chat, there's no stopping them. Just as you can start a pretty pointless thread, there's no stopping you.
  11. You think a lot of people play this game by seeing how many people are on each side? Keep in mind this is a PvE game first. The gameplay issue you're describing is only affected by those who primarily PvP. Do we know exactly how many PvP vs PvE'ers are in this game? No. So to believe that it should all revolve around PvP play is a little off-base. A lot of Star Wars fans come here for the PvE content, the lore, the storyline, etc. The Star Wars franchise has always had an abundance of Imperial fans. Fans of Darth Vader, Storm Troopers, Boba Fett, Sith, etc. How many fans do you see for Luke, or Rebel Pilots, in comparison? People play this game because of what the characters/factions represent, and it already has an established fanbase way before BW even touched this MMO.
  12. This might be true if this game was highly PvP based, because the population Imbalance does not affect PvE as greatly. So unless there are conclusive numbers that PvP imbalance is going to kill the game, that argument may not hold much weight. So for those who Enjoy being Sith, and happen to like the story line, they may not have any incentive to switch. Or perhaps they may switch because they're curious about the other story lines. And keep in mind, this game has always advertised as PvE first. You'd have to account for the PvE'r subs.
  13. Disable /Say in your chat window settings, or create a new chat window with specific communication settings.
  14. You can argue the implementation, but I'm arguing about the imbalance, since it's caused by a lot of interest in the Star Wars franchise to check out the Imperial faction. When people picked their side, it had very little to do with the mechanics of the game, since they haven't even stepped foot in it yet. This is, afterall, a topic about Population Imbalance.
  15. Leave Pyro/Assualt Alone! Let the QQs concentrate on Tracer/Grav spams!
  16. The difference is noticeable when every % counts and you're being targeted by more than one player. Otherwise, why pick talents that negate 2%-3% incoming dmg. It all adds up in the long run, with everything put together.
  17. Keybind your most used abilities...
  18. Yep, makes me wonder if some people even attempt to read the OPs chat. It also doesn't help that when you try to explain strategy, you have someone else who believes only "their" strategy will work. So he/she yells out, "No, All rush MID you noob! Then Take West afterwards!". You try to calmly suggest a different approach, or at least try to compromise with one going west if everyone agrees on mid, but the anal retentive player maintains his plan is the only way to win. So of course I was the only one to cap West, while they lost Mid and no East. And the guy gets pissed that I wasn't at Mid and blames me for the loss. This is an extreme case, but not the first where ideas are split and the goals are scattered. We're preaching to the choir here.
  19. BW didn't cause Imperial popularity in the game. The Star Wars franchise did that.

    Pre mades vs pug

First, you only have 4 people in a group, to queue at a time. Are Half-Mades considered premades in this game? And how did you identify them to all be premades? Did you take the time to note all their names and guild affiliations, in the middle of battle? A lot of people spew about premades when in fact there were probably 2-4 ppl of the same guild in the game. There are such things as coordinated Pugs that may lay waste to a lesser organized group. Second, even though WoW has rated battelgrounds, it still doesn't prevent a whole pre-made team from q'ing the normal battelgrounds. It didn't eliminate that "issue".
  21. Still justified in calling them bad. If someone joined a raid and decided to ignore all game mechanics just to pewpew the boss and get killed... I'm going to call him/her bad.
  22. Oh I hear ya. And simply opening up the map and doing simple math is quite hard for some people. I saw 3 enemies in center, and we're protecting West with 3-4 incoming with just two of us... I look at my map and see 6 of our members on East. That tells me 6 of them were chasing down 1-2 guys while we called a big inc on West, and after a full minute of defending, no one came. If some of them would simply open up their maps and figure, "Hmmm, if we're taking a full minute to chase down this one guy... I wonder where the rest of their team went when West called Inc?", we might have won that game. We just gotta deal with it.
  23. Commandos are 31/31/31.... where have you been? Sheesh.
  24. It's literally, PEW.... 1.5s.... PEW..... 1.5s... PEW
