To be fair, us smugglers have a damned good reason to side with the Republic even if theyre darksided, greedy knaves. The empire tends to torture and execute pirates and smugglers. The republic just locks them in a jail cell. Well, that, and the empire tends to hate stuff smugglers like like freedom of choice or carefree starship jockeying.

The one flaw I have with the system is how you pretty much have downtime after every single pull no matter how flawlessly you execute your skills. and God help you if you pull adds accidentally.

they only "own everything" in the sense that servers where people actually give a damn about pvp are mainly imperial controlled.

If you're pugging a raid, you're doing something terribly wrong anyhow. Pugs are notoriously bad ideas for raids.

Uh, considering theres only 8 character slots per server, if anything, lack of dual spec makes it harder to justify playing all 8 storylines. If I cant keep a tank spec for helping friends while soloing as a dps or heal spec, why should I ever spec tank?
