  1. I'll just stick with the characters on the server I play the most. Darth Dementas - Human Sith Marauder (dark side aligned) Lord Impel - Zabrak Sith Inquisitor (dark side aligned) Apprentice Caframy - Pureblood Sith Juggernaut (dark side aligned) Graxam - Chiss Powertech (neutral alignment) Notoris - Rattataki Imperial Operative (dark side aligned) Future Chiss Sith Assassin to be dark side aligned Za'lero - Human Jedi Sage (light side aligned) Amaynen - Zabrak Jedi Guardian (light side aligned) Tra'leq - Twi'lek Gunslinger (light side aligned) Captain Bollund - Cyborg Commando (light side aligned) Future Miraluka Scoundrel to be neutral or light side aligned
  2. My first character to level 50 was my dark side Sith Marauder who completed the romance storyline with Vette. While I think Vette is funny, snarky, and overall a great character, I did have one gripe in her romance...
  3. Have to agree that Bioware really botched it with Quinn here. The problem is how the player is given zero control over effecting the event and its outcome. This is a prime example of why people feel their choices have no impact on the story or their companions. I've already seen plenty of good story options listed by others here that Bioware could have implemented. Personally, my biggest gripe is that you have no way to prevent the betrayal from happening in the first place. You can have Quinn at max affection, support his career, trust in his tactical decisions, praise his professionalism, save his life, even marry him....but none of that alters his decision to support Baras and betray you? BS! That, to me, is the most bogus part of it all. It would have been simple enough to implement a dialog where Quinn admits to you that Baras was trying to manipulate him against your character but your actions made him reconsider. As for how your character isn't given the option to kill him, likely due to gameplay issues, I see nothing wrong with other alternatives such as carbonite freezing, slave collar, crippling him (he returns with his default skin having cybernetics), etc. Its just plain lazy and sloppy story telling to rob players of having any options for such a major event involving one of their own (romanceable) companions.
  4. 71% of all statistics are made up on the spot You have numbers to show us the smuggler is the least played class? And a poll that shows us that the majority of players are not playing the smuggler because they don't enjoy the class story? No? Then S T F U The number of pirates in the world has been in decline while global temperatures are on the increase. You are confusing cause and effect relationships. Show me the numbers that prove the poor (in your opinion) smuggler storyline is causing a significant number of players to cancel their subscriptions. My troll-o-meter is reading "Danger!" with this one.
  5. Same feeling here. I think Quesh is the worst. Taris and Belsavis only because they are a pain to navigate. Taris does have some good, albeit gloomy, quest storylines so I enjoyed that aspect of it.
  6. Only one mention of Rebellion in this whole thread?
  7. I'll throw in a few I'd like to see, in order of preference: Kessel Kashyyyk Dathomir Sullust or Mon Calamari Ryloth
  8. THIS I wouldn't say the new font gives me any serious problems, but I do find it a bit more difficult to read. If you're going to change the font on us, why not at least give us the option to go back to the old style or the ability to choose from several options? That way, we can at least customize and pick what works best for us.
  9. My Sith Marauder is lvl 50, has always been on the dark side and is currently 3rd rank dark side aligned, and has 10k affection with Vette and married to her. Going dark side does not make Vette unromanceable, though be prepared to lose some affection points with her for acting like a Sith. Just continue to develop the romance through the private conversations you have with her.
  10. My Marauder was inspired in large part by a combination of Drizzt Do'Urden and Sephiroth.
  11. Key words in bold. That's the problem right there, OP. And I agree that it becomes rather ridiculous past a certain point.
  12. I was going to say, Boba Fett seems crazy popular but as far as the movies go he accomplished even less than Darth Maul did. So why the hate towards one and love for the other?
  13. I like them. Have both a male Rattataki Operative and a female Rattataki Merc. If I ever get the species unlock, I'd likely make one as a Jedi or Sith....assuming I have any character slots left!
  14. I favor the SW storyline for a similar reason. With JK, I feel more pidgeon-holed into playing a stereotypical, peace loving, goody goody.
  15. One of my personal disappointments is that storyline and quest choices don't seem to have much impact on companions beyond adding or subtracting from affection rating. I don't think a player needs to be punished for role-playing, but I guess I was expecting a bit more from storyline and quest choices and how they affect your companions. I'll use Vette as an example. I play a darkside SW married to Vette. While I was given a chance in the storyline to turn Jaesa to the darkside (which I did, of course), at no point did I feel like my game decisions were having any impact on Vette's demeanor. You'd think being in love with a guy who commits atrocities on a daily basis would start to erode your morals after some time. I know Vette is presented as "very willful" but this isn't a matter of finding a way to break someone's will. Its more of a slow slide of becoming desensitized to the evil around you. Not seeing that kind of effect just makes it feel more obvious I'm following a script with very little option as to the outcome.
  16. Just throwing this link out there, make of it what you will Gray Jedi http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Gray_Jedi
  17. Your Marauder and my Assassin could be long, lost twins!
  18. Lost 3 names out of about a dozen transferred characters. One I expected to lose because it wasn't particularly original but I did lose my highest level, main character's name and I grew rather attached to it. I understand the first come, first serve rule when it comes to character names on servers...however I think that has a limit. For example, I once played Warhammer Online and had my main, max level character I had played since launch. Eventually, server merges happened and I was forced to move to another server where my character's name was taken. The character with my name was only level 4 and had been inactive for some time. I made a support claim requesting to keep my character name and was rejected by customer support. I promptly cancelled my sub and never returned. Their willingness to defend an inactive, non-paying player with a character they obviously invested very little time in over me (active sub, hundred+ hours of time investment) was insulting. Anyway, my point is I think Bioware might want to examine a way to "free up" character names of players who have been inactive for some time. It may help some players keep the names they've grown attached to or give them a chance to get their name back at a later date. Just a suggestion.
  19. Have to admit, not a fan of cat people in any kind of fantasy or sci-fi setting. It's not going to bother me if other people play them (except for all the lame cat names I'm sure to see), but I would prefer to see these species become character playable at some point: Nautolan, Sullustan, Togruta, Devaronian
  20. My Sith is married to Vette so I think I'm gonna have to answer Twi'lek
  21. With server transfers, the two servers I play on have the same destination server. So in condensing my characters onto one, more populated server I'll have to delete a couple characters or keep them on a dead server because of the 8 character limit. If you think 8 character slots is fine, good for you. Make 8 characters or less and be happy. I don't see how it concerns or effects your play experience if someone else wants to have 8+ characters on the same server.
  22. Just because someone expresses their emotions/passions doesn't necessarily make them a follower of the Sith path. If simple expressions of anger are all it takes to be considered a Sith, then every road raging citizen of the Republic might as well defect to the Empire. That's what you seem to be implying.
  23. I think the confusion comes from how the Force relates to both the Light and Dark side. Is the Force more like the axe analogy; A tool that could be used for good (Light side) or evil (Dark side) depending on who uses it? Or is the nature of the Force that it exists in both a Light and Dark version, which corresponds to how the Jedi and Sith make use of it? Perhaps an analogy for that would be like a positive or negative electric charge.
  24. I guess I haven't paid too much attention, but from what I've noticed I agree that Humans, Chiss, and Sith Pureblood seem the most common. From my own characters I seem to have a decent mix. A couple zabraks, rattataki, humans, mirialans and one of every other species. I guess I like variety.
  25. The lamest death I can recall was when Broonmark defeats his Talz rival. When I saw him toying with that Jedi apprentice in the cave I thought "Hey, this guy could be pretty cool". But that fight scene with Fetz just left me really disappointed.
