  1. Isn't it impossible to queue in a group of 8? Unless you're referring to queue-syncing.
  2. What do you mean "if"? They already did this. All meaningful PvP was removed with 2.4.
  3. Save your tears. SWTOR's PvP died a long time ago.
  4. I'm not sure what you mean. You do know it's possible to create custom chat tabs and mute channels you don't want to view, right?
  5. You can type /create channelname to create a custom channel or /cjoin channelname to join an existing one.
  6. I noticed Harbinger has some custom class chat channels (Operative, Sorcerer, etc). They all seem pretty dead so I was thinking about visiting Dromund Kaas (and other lowbie planets) and letting new players know about these channels. With a little organisation, we could get these channels up and running again and turn them into help/FAQ channels for new players (or just places to discuss classes outside of /general). Anyone interested in joining me?
  7. It's okay. The best player on Harbinger is still slowly working their way to 60.
  8. They did, but Sorcs are quite strong at the moment so I don't think it's at all hypocritical for them to defend Operatives in this thread.
  9. But that PvP gear is no longer available, which means characters below level 55 before 3.0 will not have access to it. The number of characters wearing PvP gear in the 30 - 59 bracket is going to fall dramatically over the next month. SWTOR doesn't have much of a twink community like other PvP MMOs (AION, for example) and very few players are going to hold off on purchasing the expansion so they can remain in that bracket permanently. Also, most of the good PvPers will be aiming to get to 60 as quickly as possible so they can start gearing early, which means they won't be wasting their time in the 30 - 59 bracket forever. This is a short-term problem that will fix itself. Making changes to the level brackets because you're upset that you couldn't get your solo kill in a levelling bracket is ridiculous and BioWare will never go through with such a plan.
  10. Harbinger is quite notorious for Republic dominance. Queue on Imp side during peak hours and you'll experience something quite different.
  11. Nightkin plays with default zoom so I suggest we all ignore him.
  12. 30 - 54s was fun, which is why the queue never died. 30 - 59 isn't going to die out either. Stop crying.
  13. Congrats on beating low-level, undergeared players on your level 55, fully min/maxed Juggernaut.
  14. Because it's true. BioWare removed Expertise from the War Hero and Elite War Hero gear which meant level 50s who maxed their PvP gear pre-2.0 didn't have a huge advantage over lower level players.
  15. I doubt you'll be coming up against fully geared 55s indefinitely. Most will buy the expansion and level to 60. Those that choose to stay and twink in mids are generally pretty mediocre players anyway and shouldn't pose a threat. BioWare removed Expertise from old PvP gear with the last expansion and I'm sure they could do the same again if it became a long-term problem. In any case, sub-60 PvP is solely for levelling. It doesn't matter if you win or lose, just keep queuing and experiment with your build and playstyle. Or don't.
  16. Roleplaying is very serious business. How dare you treat it so lightly?!
  17. Probably mediocre, as always. I don't think there's a more depressing class to have played since launch. Even DPS Operatives had their brief time in the sun at launch; Mercs have always been slightly below average and BioWare will likely never address that.
  18. It could also encourage more regstars to focus on objectives rather than attempting to pull big numbers. They would still be able to pad their e-peen, but they'd be helping their teammates in the process!
  19. Definitely! I think Lethality is the most interesting spec in the game. It's a weird kind of ranged/melee hybrid with a high skill cap that takes a lot of playtime to master. It relies heavily on good positioning and knowing when to be at range and when to be in melee. With 3.0 it's almost become a DPS/heal hybrid which I really like. Lethality Operative is one of the most flexible classes in 8-man PvP and can fill multiple roles. It can be a pretty good DPS class if you're playing it right, then there is the option to play as a second healer if your team is lacking in that department. Lethality Operatives also have great survivability in a 1v1 - 1v3 situation because of their ability to kite using the roll and self-heal without needing to stop. This, coupled with their high amount of CC and ability to stealth makes them one of the best node guards in the game. I haven't tried my Lethality Operative in 3.0 Ranked, but it was pretty poor in 2.0. It has a longer setup time than many other DPS classes and Ranked Arenas are less objective-based and generally favour simplistic classes and traditional roles with little room for unusual hybrids or playstyles. Other teams can afford to heavily focus a Lethality Operative in Arenas, which puts a lot of pressure on it's comparatively poor defensive CDs. They are, however, great fun for solo queuing in regs (which is how I spend the majority of my play time) and since you're spending most of your time there I think you could also enjoy the class. Hope this helped!
  20. This means nothing. It was always easy to pull big numbers on an Operative. Uncleansable DoTs mean that there is far more damage to heal through and less GCDs wasted on cleansing, which means more time spent healing. You're only going to see bigger healing numbers with 3.0.
