  1. Again i've run out of clicky *reactions* so i can't LIKE your post , but i will just say what a legit breath of fresh air YOU are for actually admitting & acknowledging. Seriously, such posts are few & far between on forums. ( much less on the interwebs )
  2. Totally and i can't believe i have to say this but: Just because i'm critical in a nuanced way within this thread about SWTOR's development choices ( or lack thereof ) doesn't mean i'm trying to "ruin" other player's enjoyment for Date Night. Constructivtely wishing for better/more from SWTOR is the right of all $ubscribers , imho.
  3. Devs don't have time to answer much here on official forums, but i took the liberty of finding this related thread which might help you--> https://forums.swtor.com/topic/932277-conquest-error-in-interpreters-retreat/
  4. Bingo again ^ yep. ( sorry i've run out of clicky *reactions* for posts today aka 10 reaction cap per day )
  5. Exactly ^ , plus this one from 2013--> https://forums.swtor.com/topic/520595-grouping-and-class-quests/ smh
  6. She's gonna make me go dig up my screenshots from 13 years ago lol sheesh
  7. And you were wrong from your first post and i even provided you with a LINK from 2012. In your defense, you are only partially wrong though. ( as i and Johnny have also made clear to you )
  8. It def. was, but it looks like Suzsi is arguing semantics now, so whatever.
  9. You are wrong, see Johnny's post--> https://forums.swtor.com/topic/933680-date-night/?do=findComment&comment=9801432 as well as my above post with proof-->https://forums.swtor.com/topic/933680-date-night/?do=findComment&comment=9801431 Also your Math is off , cuz SWTOR released officially 2011 December and vets like me were testing as far back as 2010.
  10. i respectfully disagree. In my personal opinion, i find it SLIGHTLY cringy for humans to fixate upon digital "romance". However, i also recognize it's a sign-of-the-times aka modern/future society. Doesn't mean i have to agree with it, nor that my opinion on the matter is any less valid that yours. Please don't misquote me nor misrepresent my statements. I've never once said Date Night is "wrong" in & of itself. Not once. i have stated repeatedly why i feel we should have MORE than just Date Night as the prominent feature of a LiveStream. My prior posts are still intact within this thread, for anyone to read exactly what i said. You don't like my opinion and that's fine, but please don't put words into my keyboard ok? Ops aren't. Flashpoints aren't. Heroics aren't ( meant to be ) . Uprisings aren't. Even certain ostenisbly storymode quests like 'Shroud' & 'Macrobinoculars' missions aren't. Yes obviously the MAIN storyline & planetary purples are solo-centric ( like every game ) , but it's a common misnomer that SWTOR is or must be strictly a solo game. Sure it's devolved more & more into solo mode over the years & various foolish 'gear' incarnations , but most everything is still better/faster as a GROUP. You are incorrect. --> https://forums.swtor.com/topic/227261-questing-with-friends/ i've been here since 2009 ( sad, i know ) and alpha/beta tested this game and back then we were phasing together all the time, EXCEPT for certain final story instances ( like when Jedi create 1st lightsaber, for example ) .
  11. eh-hem, uhh no pun intended? But anyways, what i find SORTA "cringy" isn't necessarily the general practice of placing of digital "romance" into video-games. What i find sorta cringy on a macro level is when human gamers favor ( or sometimes even choose ) those digital "relationships" over potential RL ones. And then, on a micro level, it's sorta cringy to have a solo Date Night cutscene w/ personal companions be the new feature about which BioSword seems to be most excited to promote in SWTOR the MMO. That's all i meant. Just comes off as very single-player centric & side-blip incidental, without anything more longterm ( thematically ) to support it amidst the grand story & scheme of SWTOR's galactic landscape. In other words: Think bigger, BioSword. Think guilds & GROUPS, maybe even with Date Night infrastructure building toward cross factional & cross species player marriage EVENTS ( we had these in SWG, including bonding 'ring' items too ) that could tie into prior promise of bringing back DvL system on certain planets where 'couples' become regional/temporary *Politicians*. ( we had this in SWG too ) Anakin & Padme! Lando & L3-37!! Han & Leia!!!! And.... JakRoanin & Arcann? 🤣 But seriously, your point is fair and no one is denying romance is a thing that belongs in Star Wars. ( at least, i'm not ) Just saying it shouldn't be the only thing. SWTOR Devs could've introduced a myriad of GROUP based mini-games. Like playable Dejarik Tables, or playable Pazaak. Instead, they decided upon solo Date Night cutscene. For me, it's rather underwhelming and i just wish they could do more for MMO.
  12. No prob. Other than criticizing BioSword Producers for their going on 6 years & counting lack of any GSF attention, posting relevant forum links is about all i'm good for these days. For me it was OP's thread title which set me onto correct path. Nevertheless, imo this issue is probably one of those patented very low priority + inherent game-engine + original character-model situations that won't/can't ever get fixed. But perhaps Devs/Coders will prove me wrong yep.
  13. See this existing thread about it--> https://forums.swtor.com/topic/925575-manaan-cargo-bug/
  14. Correct.... https://forums.swtor.com/topic/924086-buggy-running-animation-on-female-assassin/ https://forums.swtor.com/topic/928758-sith-assassin-in-combat-run-animation-still-bugged/ https://forums.swtor.com/topic/932953-walking-animation-on-shadowassassin/ https://forums.swtor.com/topic/900458-female-jedi-shadow-running-animation-in-combat-bug/ ... And i'll be pleasantly shocked if it ever gets fixed tbqh. Maybe look closer? ^^
  15. hey look i'm not saying that ^ stuff isn't enjoyable or worthy or anything like that, since obviously those augments-to-the-story typically enhanced player immersion far more than inhibit it. Heck, remember how attached everyone got to their origin companions during/after KOTFE/KOTET and subsequent backlash? So yeah, np, companions are indeed part of the very fabric of SWTOR. ( even though now it's turned silly with so many extra companions x 50 , thereby diminishing their importance & uniqueness, but i digress ) What i am saying is, essentially: Why can't we have it all? ( GSF, Crafting, Ops, FPs, PVP, and yes even Date Nights sure go for it ) Why does SWTOR always have to be shortchanged and underdeveloped? ( except for CM ) Like seriously, why?
  16. Well i mean, in their defense i think they're just doing the best they can with what little EA grant$ them, while also trying to communicate more often to community with added LiveStreams. This extra communication can of course be a good thing. Unless you don't really have anything substantial to communicate about AND totally ignore all questions regarding various elephants-in-the-foroom. So then it just becomes well what is your ( the player's ) definition of "substantial" ? For MMO players like me, it's things like: GSF attention, Crafting revamp, PVP rework, a new Class + factional mirror, new Ops/FPs, new Planet & Storyline/Theme/Expansion, etc. For other types of players, it's: a Date Night Comp cutscene, a new SH guilds can't even designate cuz Flagship + 1 cap isn't raised, another Seasons retread grindfest, more soulless CM overpriced reskins as "rewards" , etc. The latter seems to be basically all SWTOR can muster. But who knows maybe 8.0 will prove me wrong, np.
  17. Have you checked in here yet? --> https://answers.ea.com/t5/General-Discussion-Technical/bd-p/star-wars-the-old-republic-en If not, try sending email to: support@swtor.com
  18. And therein lies the problem. SWTOR doesn't seem to be building toward anything , other than more low effort money$ for EA. 80?!?! Way less dude. i'd be shocked if BioSword has more than 10 actual Devs/Coders currently working on SWTOR. ---- p.s. For the record, even though imo it's sorta cringy for humans to crave digital "romance" ( 2024 society ) there's obviously nothing inherently "wrong" with adding Date Night w/ Companions in a vacuum. But in context, it becomes very disappointing ( and perplexing ) when that is the ONLY new "content" being promoted/announced, as if we're just supposed to jump for joy and forget about how practically every other aspect of the game ( including GSF ) is totally ignored/neglected. Comprende?
  19. Sounds cool , including the 3 other SW games they're apparently making too. ( i'm currently playing 'Jedi Survivor' and like it wayyyy more than i did 'Fallen Order' ) However, tbqh, RESPAWN seems pretty legit company & all , but i dunno all these single-player games are getting redundant imo and i just wish they ( or someone ) would please start developing/announcing the next SW MMO , so i can finally tear myself away from this now rather sad state of SWTOR's future. Of course i'd probably be a bit less downtrodden if 'Survivor' ( and this new Mando game ) would at least have CO-OP multiplayer options to them. But yeah either way i fear my wish for SWG-2 ( or something in same vein ) ain't never gonna happen anytime soon unfortunately.
  20. That particular sub-section is a bottomless pit full of redundancy & ridiculousness and imo should be replaced with a *Tech Support* section instead ( like we used to have years ago ) so oblivious players won't have to keep muddling up the Bug Reports section with their own personal computer/ISP problems. Amazing, isn't it? i'll never understand why EA refuses to $ignificantly support & promote the only [official] STAR WARS brand IP MMO currently in existence with more staff & infrastructure. How dare you come back here with legit logic! GMs like me have been practically begging BioSword for years to please allow us to designate more than just ONE stronghold-to-guild-access ( not including Flagship ) . Why should the user have to grant 100's of sh keys for EVERY personal sh, when the existing code application would make things so much easier ( for GMs ) with a click of a button/list?!?!? For some strange reason ( maybe cuz they want people to use each individual SH 'Public Terminal' , like on Mek-Sha & such? ) the Devs either neglect to think ahead before adding more SH's ...or... refuse to tell us the real code/instance situation behind such glaring lack of expanding both player & guild caps. Is it a memory/cache issue? Are they worried players won't goto Fleet anymore? It's not like SWTOR is SWG with chat-bubbles and other super social type immersions & events. So yeah i don't get it and all we can do is hope for some miracle in the 7.4.1 patch notes.
  21. Simply challenging your statements/opinions doesn't mean a person is "mad" lol. Your subsequent overreactions to such a basic challenge though, well, there's another word for that which i'm not allowed to use on these forums. Anyways, yes i quoted you here--> https://forums.swtor.com/topic/933680-date-night/?do=findComment&comment=9800378 but then you posted AGAIN obviously aimed directly at me--> https://forums.swtor.com/topic/933680-date-night/?do=findComment&comment=9800382 which is fine of course, except at how you misrepresented the truth and then are now double/triple'ing down on it for some odd reason. Again, forum debates are not "fights" . That's what RL is for. The only entity i'm gamer "mad" at or in a perceived "fight" with is EA for neglecting this game , as well as at/with Eric Musco & KeithKanneg for ignoring GSF. i told you to stop being so melodramatic and you proceeded to be even more melodramatic with such a public display of "blockage" . Similar to how people love making grand drastic "i'm quitting the game" threads as if anyone cares other than "can i has yo stuff?" Pro-tip: Next time just block the person, silently. ikr Instead they should've coded the "dates" cutscenes to allow for almost ANY companion ( with certain exceptions obviously ) and then just write various more specialized/personalized dialog trees to account for each Player's choices made per that character. As it stands now, Player-x is forced to "romance" Arcann/Koth/Theron ( for the tokens or achievements or whatever ) when all they really prefer is Lana. And vice-versa to a lesser degree cuz 3 to 1. First, i've been here loyally $ubscribed since 2011 beta and participated in original pre-release 2009 forums, as well as pre-launch alpha/beta testing ... So, unless/until a new SW MMO gets announced, i will never "quit" SWTOR. SWTOR, on the other hand, has quit on me & many players like me. Secondly, i still enjoy most of original SWTOR and have fun playing it. Plus i cherish my 2 guilds ( as GM ) & 100's of guildmates over the years. So i would never just abandon them because of my displeasure with BioSword ( mostly with EA ) . You're probably right yep.
  22. QFE yep and therein lies the most perplexing part i mentioned earlier in my 1st reply: How can a game born of STAR WARS ( big budget IP ) and run by EA ( big budget company ) get practically no support, no expansions, and no promotion? Just doesn't make any sense. Unless either a) the game-engine is so old & clunky it's not even worth Developing for anymore ...or b) another new/secret SW MMO is being planned for 2025/2026 , so then why would they bother to inve$t into SWTOR anymore. Otherwise, imo, doesn't make any sense. Factually incorrect. One of the former BioWare Devs revealed on 'Twitter' how constrained they were and how he hoped maybe the Broadsword switchover might mean less constraint. However, if the last 2 Livestreams are any indication ( and what else do we have to go on but the Livestreams? ) then it would SEEM like there's even more budget/code constraints now than ever before. Because what are they actually building or DEVELOPING toward? Nothing. Or at least, nothing they've announced to the Community. And if there really are significant "big things" planned , why not tease them to generate interest? This is why certain players are so underwhelmed by "Date" night + Mailbox/Mod-Station polishes being served as if those minor additions are really "big things" . Oh and FYI there isn't any dedicated "team" for PVP anymore. This is a problem because MMOs are mostly driven by endgame PVP'ers, Raiders, & Crafters. But it seems like Broadsword only wants to---or is only able to---cater toward RP'ers, CM'ers, & CosPlayers. ( with some new Story bit + Daily grind zone once per year ) In comparison, look at how ESO is somehow able to continue developing & acknowledging ALL aspects of their game. ( even PVP ) i personally think SWTOR is a better game and therefore should get better comprehensive treatment ( from EA ) . Hardly such an outrageous desire.
  23. You literally responded to MY post. Stop being so melodramatic.
  24. Never said it shouldn't be there. Don't misrepresent what i said. Re-read my post--> https://forums.swtor.com/topic/933680-date-night/?do=findComment&comment=9800378 Please stop trying to twist words to fit your own narrative. It makes you look a certain way, which then diminishes any possibly valid points you're making.
