  1. So far the only argument I ever see against it is crying over someone saying a nasty word to them, or crying that they didn't get the shiny loot they wanted. And they have the cheek to call other players self-serving and bad?
  2. Maybe these anti Cross-Server lot are actually hippies? Cause I can see the similarities. "No man! We need to protest against medicine! Everyone needs to not use medicine and use water instead!" "We tried water. It didn't work, that's why we discovered these medicines and worked to refine them into beneficial aids to..." "LALALALA I CAN'T HEAR YOU!"
  3. You're talking about developers who hired the teams behind two MMO's that totally bombed. Developers who launched a game while it was still in the Beta and missing the majority of features that are standard to any MMO. Developers who host regular Q&A sessions and answer the majority of questions with "We're working on it.". Developers who held a summit in which they hand picked the minority of player types (Hardcore Raiding Guilds) to come and discuss what would improve the game! I don't think they've really done anything but make bad decisions!
  4. You know what's really sad though? The people that think Transfers will work. I mean seriously...think for a second..I know, I know, it's hard...but try. They refuse to do server merges because that will look bad in the eyes of the investors, it'll look like the game is dropping subscriptions fast and dying. So they open up transfers...targeted transfers. Let people transfer off low pop servers onto higher pop servers? But then everyone would leave and there'd be a collection of empty servers. Those would have to be shut down. Really think that'd look better to the investors? Or would they keep all the servers open and create Cross-Server LFG instead...hmm now what is the more likely scenario to keep the investors happy?
  5. Why let logic get in the way of a good argument? Besides, their usual response to that is "But I'll have to use it cause everyone else is using it!". But wait...if everyone else is using it...maybe that means....most people don't care about community and just wanna play the damn game their paying for?!
  6. "Wah wah wah! I want to play an MMO but not actually play with everyone else because some people are mean and they said nasty things! wah wah wah! They steal my precious loot and that makes me angry! Wah wah wah!" Honestly you wanna talk about anyone wanting instant gratification, try the people who cry about how Cross-Server LFG means someone might need on their shiny loot or they don't get things their way.
  7. Well they say ignorance is bliss! Except in the business world. Then it means unemployment.
  8. And I'll be honest, were they to do Single Server Group Finder with server merges, I'd be happy. However because we know they are very reluctant to do server merges at all, we know that this is BW dragging their feet yet again on solving population problems by going Single-Server with Targeted Transfers.
  9. We do know actually, because Blizz tried the single-server LFG for a few months and as their numbers showed, there wasn't much of a significant increase to the amount of players experiencing the dungeons due to low server populations and long queue times finding suitable players of that level etc. And WoW had a much larger population at that point than this game does now.
  10. Oh look, Facts! http://users.telenet.be/mmodata/Charts/Subs-1.png See that line where 2010 is? That's when LFD came out. See that line where 2011 is? That's soon after Cataclysm was released. So one year of LFD and WoW didn't lose many people. Still gonna try and say it's cause of the LFD or have you been educated yet?
  11. Actually ours does. We have these amazing things called facts and figures. You have 'speculation'. Wonder which holds stronger?
  12. If you look at the subscription graphs WoW didn't start losing 2million subscribers until 1 year after LFD was released. Get your facts straight, you're embarrassing yourself.
  13. I'm going by experience here. Two other MMO's have tried the single-server idea, it failed and so they went cross-server. They had better populations than this game does currently. Your solutions have one issue to them. Telling someone who has a level 50 character to simply 'start again' somewhere else is not encouraging in the slightest. "Well done for spending weeks/months grinding up your character to the top level and spending as long as you can trying to gear him. Now abandon all that and start again!" no they'll just quit. Which is what a very large amount of people have done. Your suggestions, I'm afraid, are not solutions. They are to some players a large middle finger. A 'not my problem deal with it' style response that you may think sounds helpful, but it really isn't.
  14. Mostly because they're replying to people messaging them asking about this stuff. Which just goes to show the lack of consideration they show to the actual playerbase that they don't think to post this sort of stuff on the Forums for all to read instead of in reply to twitter messages.
  15. You say improvement, most others say not effective in the slightest.
  16. According to Twitter...which is apparently where they give all their info rather than their official website...there will be news on Transfers and Patch 1.3 next week.....most likely on Twitter.
  17. Yes it's so easy to spot a player who wants to play the game they pay for. Do you have anything new to say ever?
  18. i agree with this. The more options a player has on how to enjoy their game, the more satisfied customers you will have.
  19. Blackardin, you seem to have heard this term 'instant gratification' and then decided it sounded good and to run with it. You use it so much and always in cases where it does not make sense. I would try to teach you as to when the term is appropriate, and why you're wrong using it in your constant crusade to teach people of the evil magics behind Cross-Server LFG, but we all know what happens when you try to teach a strong-believer actual facts and figures.
  20. Cross Server will happen. It's inevitable. You're naive if you believe otherwise. Also your concept of community no longer exists in todays MMORPG world. You really need to get over it.
  21. If only they'd you know, researched other MMO's...and maybe not hired teams from two failed MMO's...
  22. I just put subtitles on and listen to a playlist of film soundtracks instead, since there's a distinct lack of ingame music.
  23. Currently there's only One heavy server in the EU, which is a PVP one. Then a few Standard servers and about 70 Light last I counted during prime time.
  24. That's my usual reaction to her posts. At least she wasn't blaming the Elitists this time...
