  1. Haha, there's always one idiot you can tell didn't read jack, and in this thread it's this guy.
  2. How is it that this word is being used so often? I find it be way more ambiguous than necessary. What is everyone's definition of "clunky" when they are applying it as criticism on SWTOR's mechanics/PvP/combat?
  3. Asmodians were ALWAYS the dominating faction, just like horde in WoW and Empire in SWTOR. Something about being the "bad guys" for a change that attracts a lot of people (and I'm not going to get in to this "the horde aren't really bad" BS).
  4. Are you implying some sort of superiority with this post? I'm sorry you can't function at a high enough level to comprehend the level of what I'm observing in Warzones between (likely) a bunch of adolescents.
  5. So of the Warzones I've participated in I've noticed something that is quite universal to all my experience within them... People are incredibly short fused and whiny. One bad pass and everybody is crying. One bad pick-up/drop and everybody blaming each other and screaming obscenities or making fun of each others mums. Chill out, hardcore gamers. It's a video game. We all understand the game is new and you're wanting to plow through the gearing process ASAP so this grind is slightly tedious, but seriously, put things in perspective, you're getting bent out of shape because of a digital star wars sci fi ball being thrown in the wrong direction, or losing because your starship got shot down. I'm a gamer that holds himself to a very high standard in how I play, and I hope to refine my skills over time as I acquire more gear and experience, but I never bust out the teenage angst on someone in Ops chat because they decided to pick up the ball and maybe didn't know what to do with it since they were new. I'm getting so annoyed with kids(adults?) yelling at other kids(adults!) through a chat frame about learning how to play a game that is still new to everyone. TLDR; calm down. This is a video game. People are still learning how to play. Your gear will come eventually. If you're not having fun, stop playing.
  6. Uhm, duh? This is like the dumbest statement I've ever seen.
  7. I see a bunch of players here on the SWTOR forums talking about how in comparison to WoW, stealth is but a "novelty" as opposed to a useful mechanic. I played a Rogue main in WoW. I've both hardcore raided and PvPed. I also main an operative here, and I'm not quite sure what the hell people mean when they say that stealth acts as a "novelty" in this game. Stealth serves the same purpose it did for us as Rogues in WoW, sneaking up on un-suspecting players and bursting them down, or vanishing in to it as a mobility/escape cooldown. It's a strong element of both classes, and the Operative is better off with it than without. There is no difference. So if someone wants to enlighten me (who isn't just armchairing the same hogwash they read everywhere else from all the other people who just want this to be a better WoW), I'd like to hear it.
  8. So when I move the camera around while running, the camera used to reset to my characters back. Now I don't know what I changed, but now all of the sudden it makes my character turn in the current direction of the camera when I let the button go. This is both annoying, and not really how I prefer my camera control to work in MMORPG's. Has it always been like this and I just noticed it, or did I flip something and for the life of me I can't figure out what option it is that reverts this. Preferrably I would rather the camera doesn't reset at all unless I use mouse turn. Any help is appreciated.
  9. In your deluded, ignorant and idiotic opinion, what is the meaning of relevant in this context?
  10. Maplestory. And that game isn't even good. 39 million accounts, 8 million paying players, as in, players that buy NX (the shop currency) regularly.
  11. I was totally unaware of the "undercover"-ness of the extra accent! The Operative is my 4th character I'm leveling to at least 20 (so I can understand all the classes before I pick one to take to 50). I had left the space bar completely alone up until then so at this point I was sort of abusing the space bar like a ginger child on stuff I didn't want to hear just to play with the class a little. Thanks!
  12. I honestly wonder. I'd say for the most part that the voice acting is pretty high quality, way above par for sure. However, there are some things that really confuse me. I'm a human female Operative and the most noticeable blunder I can see is that she constantly switches between two totally different accents. A blondey-ish white girl, and an upstanding british woman. It's strange, and it really doesn't make sense. If VA was one of the highest financial dumps for this game, I figure this wouldn't get overlooked considering I have to hear her switch about a million times through out the entire story. If this is a bug, well, then I hope it gets ironed out. If it's not intentional but how the game was shipped...well...come on BW. Anyways, I like the game. This is not a bash post. I am enjoying it (despite my characters constant identity crisis), I'm only sharing something that humorously divulges me from the immersion pretty much every time I pick up a quest.
  13. Still a stupid example. C'thun was never actually even killed until Blizzard blanketed him with nerfs due to Ensidia claiming it was impossible. How is an impossible boss good design? Hint: it isn't.

    Here I go!

As excited as I am to get in game, I can't help but sigh at the 11GB's remaining
