  1. I have always played Concealment or Heals and figured i would try out Lethality but I have no idea where to begin nor do I see any thing on the forums. Any advice on a rotation or skill priority I would be much appreciated.
  2. This doesn't work. I have tried it and even though the damage is resisted the cap still gets interrupted as if a sorc hit you with thundering blast he still hit you.
  3. What class am I 1v1ing and what spec am I?
  4. The most telltale sign of Thermal Detonator is the sound of it, ticking I guess, which gets faster and faster before it explodes. I prefer to always roll to negate the damage of TD due to the fact that most PTs will time Explosive Probe, TD and Railshot to all hit you at once and a perfectly timed roll will negate all of this including shoulder cannons and whatever else they try and burst you down with. I do tend to save my evasion for negating Ravages from the plethora of Jugs that are in every match or clearing the insane amount of dots being spread by the Sorcs/Sins now.
  5. Just curious what everyone is using since there are a few that can be appealing. Currently I have: Skillful: Ballistic Dampers Snap Shot Reestablishing Range Masterful: Stroke of Genius Imperial Demarcation Heroic: Siege Bunker Series of Snares
  6. I have never really played smash on my mara so I am curious how everyone's basic rotations look like for PVP. Thanks
  7. No one wants to take this?
  8. Trolling and no way your whole team didnt get any medals for defending or attacking
  9. If anything they made BM and WH mean absolutely nothing now since what a days worth of WZing and you have a few pieces of your gear quit whining if you cant get more than 40 comms a game that's your fault the 8 medals are ridiculously easy to get and god forbid win a WZ or you do something that earns you a MVP vote...
  10. IMO BW has done as much as possible to distance themselves from world PVP (besides saying they are "for" it) 1. Both factions are on complete opposite ends of a world with virtually zero chance of running into each other 2. The are no resources, checkpoints, or cities that need to be controlled by a faction to benefit anyone 3. Ilum was a start until they made WZs count toward the daily and now even on the biggest servers the planet is a ghost town 4. No penalty or benefit for winning or dying in PVP besides a measly repair cost. There has to be an incentive to for open world PVP to work and in my eyes they aren't even attempting to make it work
  11. You want your total crit chance to be in that range and I should have mentioned that I meant that with the operative 5% crit buff not self buffed. You should try and bring that surge up from 58% to the mid 70 range which should not be hard if you just grab the BM implants and a few other pieces of BM gear that have surge on them as well.
  12. One thing I have noticed in regards to most healing classes not necessarily Mercs in specific is the lack of using cure. Once you are resolve capped you can still be rooted especially by marauders and the like lunging to you. A simple cure removes this and along with a few CCs (I believe one mental one belonging to the assassins after the update to cure in 1.2) until you learn what each one looks like throw a cure on yourself or a teammate at the very worst you cured them for upwards of 1k this can be a game saver in some WZs.
  13. Speaking from the level 50 perspective The Fatman is very balanced in regards to population. I think most of the Imperials have no idea what they are doing in PVP though and just like to shoot lightening while paying no attention to the objectives.
  14. I am a merc healer and I am instantly targeted and focus fired get used to it as it is just going to happen more when you go against better players. As for resolve I love when people try and cc me. Do not get scared and pop your unbreakable will on the first stun you should be able to survive it the second stun usually caps your resolve this is when I love to pop UW and put shell on if need be and just enjoy the free uninterrupted/ccd healing with their whole team on me. IMO the 16 heat kolto shell sucks but just throw in 2 rapid shots after it and there is no leftover heat and you healed for ~2k on that one person. You really shouldn't have a problem with heat if you play smart and manage your cool downs effectively.
  15. Short and sweet of it right here for PVP: Crit - 35-37% Tech crit Surge - 73-75% Power - Stack this as much as possible once the above are achieved Alacrity - Its nice but however much comes on your gear is plenty
