  1. Anything that looks even half way decent is reserved for the cartel market obviously. Same goes for the craftable ones in artifice. YUCK. The words butt and ugly come to mind.
  2. Yes, it makes me angry every time people make non-descriptive topics for their threads.
  3. This. They already posted that they are working on a forked version of an old engine, so they can't/won't merge updates from the original vendor. You're stuck with an engine that might have been decent in 2005. Sadly.
  4. Why would anyone do this, when the comms themselves are much easier to get than the materials needed to craft these pieces? There's an over-supply, so there's no market for crafting anyway.
  5. LI is super easy now. If you can't do it, you probably shouldn't be using the group finder in the first place =/
  6. I dont see any reason they couldn't add just the set bonus armorings for a price on the PvE vendors - just like they did with campain for black hole comms before. For ~100 comms you can either get a full piece with no set bonus (like it is now) or the armoring only but with a set bonus. Seems fair to me
  7. Forums are frequented by less than 10% of the playerbase in most games, yet those 10% whine enough to get the changes they want. Anyway, I think there is way too much CC in PvP - doing away with it almost entirely might not be a bad thing. Certainly stun breaks could be on (much) shorter cooldowns. Resetting on death sounded like a great idea - why was it rolled back?? Also ... immunity timers for out of combat CC. Please.
  8. Agree with OP - the top tier not being craftable has completely ruined the market, and as such I've stopped wasting time on crafting. I used to process several orders on a daily basis for dread guard gear, but since 2.0 I've had something like 3 orders TOTAL for arkanian grade. Why would anyone spend credits to pay crafters and/or for materials, when you can easily get this stuff for commendations. The combination of top tier lockout, the removal of materials on reverse engineering and the ease of access to commendations has really destroyed crafting imo. And I used to like that part of the game =/ One of those nerfs alone would have been enough to reduce the impact of crafting, but as usual Bioware opts for the sledge hammer instead of fine tuning. Morons.
  9. Dont think you can learn arkanian ear/implants
  10. It was the heroics - they say it wasn't, but who believes that.
  11. I'm holding on to mine just on the off chance they will increase rep caps in the future. But other than that, yeah they really should all be sellable.
  12. Tbh, I'd like droids to be able to use the same bound armorings as other companions. Right now you can't use a "chest" bound armoring on a droid - same goes for all the other ones. This limits droid gearing a LOT. Also, the protocol droid and HK (and the few droid companions) should be able to all use the same gear.
  13. Yes, God yes I have an entire cargo hold page of just Ciridium =/
  14. I've found almost all groups I've been in have been receptive to kicking loot ninjas, so I initiate votes quite often these days. And yes, it has become more prevalent - earlier the ninjaing was pretty rare and you could usually just solve it by asking them to stop. Now it seems rare to even get a reply if you talk to them.
  15. Well, a lot of other games start out with a lot more to begin with. Even though you go twice as fast, doesn't really matter if you start miles behind the competition.
  16. like rain... a vacuum cleaner gone wild. Dude, what are you smoking?
  17. This works great http://www.torparse.com/client My guild uses it a lot - if you set up a group in the client you can see stats for all raid members. But yeah, I would like something like it integrated in the game. It's not about bragging rights, but it IS about identifying why groups sometimes fail repeatedly at something. It can be hard to tell in flashpoints for instance which DPS is failing if DPS is low. Failing over and over isn't fun for anyone.
  18. You're right, this makes no sense. Especially since grade 28 is (66) and grade 30 is (69). If there was any sort of logical progression, grade 30 should have been (72)'ish since it skips a step.
  19. I think it would go a long way if the PvP flag actually turned off when you toggled it. Sometimes it doesn't - and half the time you have to formally turn it on before you can turn it off, resetting the safe zone timer. Shoddy implementation.
  20. I'm one of those people who will be running the new nightmare modes. That said, I'm sick of doing S&V. It's too long and really boring - plus nothing good ever drops until the third boss anyway. Every week, it's TfB HM, S&V HM, Toborro's, ... rinse, repeat, fall asleep.
  21. They are really easy, but you do need to think about when you use your EMP etc. Also anything you kill early on will make the later stages easier usually. Dont be afraid to fly around with your shield recharge at max and just use missiles (especially in Cha Rabaa Assault). I only do them for leveling characters from 50 to 55 really, since the rewards now are pure poop apart from the xp. Oh btw, WASD for avoidance is necessary. Make a little square with your movements and repeat over and over, that will avoid most of the fire.
  22. Well, just because it's harder to get it right, doesn't mean you should recommend the wrong thing. The OP was asking what is the best - the theory threads are all about that. Then you each go and do the best you can with that information. Personally I'm at about 950 shield, 780 defense and 800'ish absorb and I'm quite happy tanking S&V HM. I initially went with higher defense and lower absorb, but that didn't seem to work as well given how I play (ie. noone uses cooldowns the same way or optimally for that matter).
  23. It boggles the mind that a high profile game such as SWTOR is stuck with such a lousy engine for anything of scale. Even in 16-man operations, some mobs dont even render unless you click them, because the "engine optimizations" presumably prevent too many characters/mobs etc from being rendered at the same time. DAOC - which is now 12 years old, has a better engine than SWTOR. Jeez.
  24. Open world exploration. Simple as that. SWTOR's world is not open, and it's not worth exploring. You have map indicators everywhere you need to go, and there is no hidden gems lurking anywhere to make you want to try and do anything else. Lots of dead ends, though. (obviously not counting datacrons, which are so well documented they dont count as exploring anymore either).
  25. I dont know, are you feeling your mom, too? Sorry, couldn't resist since the topic is so poorly chosen with regards to actually explaning what the content of the thread is.
