  1. Wasnt checking this post for some time - cool it didnt go completly unnoticed Whole thing wasnt rly about looking for flashpoints groups becouse i think that lfg tool that is in game already is decent enough for that. Sure they might add information bout your position in que but other than that its fine. My idea was to make a tool that would allow anyone to look for any group for anything. From pug OPs through heroic quests to even group achievement farm if someone likes it, maybe even premade pvp. Current LFG tool is completly useless if you are looking for group for something... unusual lets call it. My idea was a way to fix that. Another story is that it would allow people to look for replacements easier when some pug op would loose some members - atm someone has to go to fleet, loads of time is wasted which quite offten leads to group falling apart. Through such system it would be easier and faster to find replacements -> less group would fall apart. Plus as i mentioned before only way, that is any efficent, to find group for something atm is to camp fleet and wait. But when there is some event going on lots of ppl are anywhere but on fleet - rakghoul event atm - hundreds of ppl roaming through alderaan. Finding group for Ops for example is considerably harder becouse of that. My idea could fix that - simply by letting those on alderaan for example to see LFG while they do dailies or whatever else. So Bioware i do think that implementation of such system would make your game lot more attractive to those ppl who play alot of any kind of pugs. Easier group finding would lead to more fun from playing and i dont think i have to teach you why it is important to keep your customers as happy as possible. Consider it please.
  2. Current LFG tool may be decent for flashpoints but lets be honest - its useless for everything else.
  3. As said, i think server wide looking for group tool would be very usefull. Lets make this clear - i dont want it to be server wide chat channel becouse it would instantly became server wide spam channel and most of people would turn it off anyway. I would like to see server wide "anouncement board". Lets say you would add another tab in LFG tool that already is in the game. In this tab you would have options: 1 i want to join a group for something 2 i want to create group for something Option 1 would make the player see the that anouncement board - it would be just turn on/off switch. Eventually there could be an additional oiption to select what are you interested in (flashpoint, operation, world boss, heroic quest on some planet or whatever else) this could work as filter tool. Option 2 guy would type what he needs (amount of tanks, healers or damage dealers and what kind of encounter he want to engage (flashpoint, operation, world boss or whatever else). Buy selcting all those an announcement would be placed on that board for example "Looking for 1 tank, 3 healers, 5 damage dealers for The Dread Fortress 16 man Story mode" And everyone who is interested in seeing that would be able to no matter where they are or even what level character are they currently logged in. Either that anouncements would be placed in chat window or in some window you have to manually open its yours to decide. What is it for? For example at the moment you got experience weekend going on so plenty of people are training alts. Gathering any kind of operation PUG gets hard becouse when all those ppl are training alts they barely ever visit fleets.
  4. Ye .. but in WoW with recount you know what is wrong simply by looking at data. Here without even combat log to look at you can only guess. I was an officer in a raiding guild in wow and recount was a tool to do my job. By analyzing recount data i could say who made what mistakes and start explainnig to that guy what he did wrong and what he needs to change and how. Here? You can only guess. But thats for guild raids. In pugs then i couldnt care less about teaching ppl how they should play - they never listen anyway. Only thing i care is that when i play 55 fp pug then i want to get it done in shortest possible time and without any wipes. And if someone is cousing wipes then i want to know about it and deal with it. If they listen to other ppl explanations then cool, if not - and they usually dont - then vote kick. Stop with your complaining that recount is a elitist thingie to brag - recount is a tool to make your raids better. An extreamly usefull tool. Sure some ppl would use it here to brag. But most would use it to improve skills of themselves and others - becouse this is how it works in WoW for years and i dont see any reason why it should work differently here. Your policy of forbidding something becouse someone could use it wrong is a an idiocy. The same with hammer for example - i can be used to kill if you hit someone with it strong enough. Shall they make sale of all kinds of hammers forbidden?
  5. Ya, sure man ... problem is for those people untill you show them that they are bad they wont even start to improve. They would be cheerfully living in their illusion that what they do is good and proper. That guy i was talking in first post clearly said that there is no point in fighting that boss becouse "he always hits hard at the end" (enrage). He obviously had no clue that he - hes pathetic dps - was the only reason of it. Wonder how many pugs he wiped earlier and after and still doesnt have a clue that reason of it is hes lack of skill. And im quite sure that the guy wont do anything to improve untill something would show him that what he do is very wrong. Their policy of "no elitists" led to situation that players who actually enjoy progress of their skills in this game are forced to drag such people through. You enjoy that? I sure dont. > If you're doing a pug 16m ops, the problem is that you're doing a 16m ops with pugs, not that the game needs to give you a tool to sort out the havoc that ensues with that many players. I do play 16 man pugs. I play 16 ops with guild on my main. And i pug them on my alts. Got problem with that? So you play 16 man pug - it happens very offten that dps is low so obviously some dps are lacking skills. I would love to hear your proposition of how to figure out which one of 10 dpsers in OPs are lacking. Becouse for me simpliest and best solution would be dmg meter tool.
  6. In 16 man pug OP have fun with tracking someones dots on a boss among 20 debuffs that would be there...
  7. Good thing about recount and not just any other dmg meter was it wouldnt take you a minute to figure out whos dps is high becouse of skill and whos becouse he was aiming only for high "score". Thats what i ment by analyzing recount data. If someone was doing something that he shouldnt just to get high dps "score" recount would clearly show that. Same if they focus on dmg done and forgeting bout dmg taken. Wouldnt take you a minute to know who has to recieve praise and whos gotta be flamed. Recount was one of the most important tools of a raid leader in WoW. But we are getting away from the main point. You may call me elitist but when i play i try do to my best and expect same from others. I wont carry some noskill on my back just becouse hes too lazy to learn to play. And i wont hesitate to call noskill a noskill even if someone would say im rude elitist. And thats why i want tool which would tell me which of the players im playing with are trying to get things done and which of them are only trying to ride on someones back for easy loot.
  8. I can live with someones elitist attitude - if not there is always an ignore. I cant live with wiping on a boss becouse of enrage timer thx to some guy doing 500 dps. To hell with 4 man flashpoints. You go for story mode op via group finder as healer. There is another healer with you. You heal like crazy and group wipes anyway becouse other guy is slacking. Group start complaining about healers - both - becouse there is no way to determine that only one of them is clueless. Would you like that? They could follow that policy in very early game, but later on? You still remember Lost Island HM before nerf? I do. PUG people were failing there badly and what way you've got to find out about it? None. It was matter of pure luck to get a group without a noskill guy. Now you got old new hm flashpoints. Point is everyday the less well geared ppl and the more i-just-dinged-55 ppl is playing them - which means issues with enrage timers would only become more common. If they think that failing in a FP coz of some noskill would make the game more enjoyable than they couldnt possibly be more wrong. I would rather deal with "elitist atmosphere" gladly. PS I played WoW for 5 years and barely ever i've seen guy who braged bout hes dps in 5 man pug.
  9. Its no bug .. Event start every time some pushes that button - no matter if event is already in progress or not. By constanly clicking it you can even spawn like 20 waves of mobs untill you got zerged. Solution? Push it once and never again.
  10. Ye, i fully agree. In WoW recount is one of the most important addons (thingie that counts dmg done/taken, healing done/taken and alot of other things). And its not important becouse you can brag how much dmg you done, its important becouse analyzing data from recount could give you insight what kind of mistakes your group has made and what has to be done to correct them. In a matter of serious mistakes it shows you clearly which of your group mates has to be replaced. In TOR there is no such thing. So figuring out what is wrong is offen done by trial and error...
  11. I've just finished a 55 hm run through Hammer Station. We failed on bonus boss becouse of enrage timer. Three times. Skipped him after that. For those 3 tries i - as dps - was killing myself trying to figure out how is that possible that we dont have the dps needed to kill him in time. Wondering what could i possibly do wrong especially that i respecced from healing to dps not long ago. My only foult was that i didnt inspect the other dpser. I've seen juggernaut 31k hp. When you see dps jugg with 31k hp his gear has to be decent right? Wrong. Half of his gear was aim tanking items - yes, the one for powertechs... If this game had a combat log i would vote kick him long before we did even first try on that boss seeing his propably way below 1000 dps. Unfortunately there is simply no way to check how much dps someone is doing. Seriously you have to change that. When you create hard flashpoints with bosses on enrage timers which are played by random people from LFG tool then people need to know when one or both of dpsers are failing to do their job.
  12. Republic chars get planetary comms from heroic quests on Tython and Ord Mantell. Tython has only 1 heroic quest but Ord Mantell has 3 all in single location and each of them with 3 planetary reward. Heroics on both Korriban and Hutta doesnt give you single planetary comm.
