This. When a sorcerer casts force lightning, it's purple lightning. When they whirlwind, it's purple lightning. When they cast lightning... you guessed it. Purple lightning. Electrocute? Purple lightning. Shock? Itty bitty purple lightning. So, when you see a sorcerer casting the spell(s) you're calling "purple lightning," and you think, "That's all they use!" Well, you're right. That is, unless anything like the Biblical version of same were to show up. I think that such a critter would both have a better claim on it than you and be able to turn you inside out and ask your steaming guts if it was okay if he got to play with the name for a bit. But, by all means, use it 'til then. I honestly don't think anyone's gonna be all that put out. Other than, you know, the aforementioned subject of the Judeo/Christian mythos.

Lol, doing what I hate and answering you when I haven't really got a clue. Aren't I leet? I'm guessing - GUESSING, mind you - that if you can't interact with, throw sparkles on, buff or in any way affect same faction players when they are cut scene-ing, as I couldn't in Beta, then I'm guessing (!) you can't make melty face on opposing players when they're cut scen-ing, either. But you can sure surprise the hell outta them when they come out...

As has been intimated here already, revealing faction ratios would not serve to balance numbers. The only thing that would serve to balance numbers is if 50% of people who chose a PvP server rolled Repub, and 50% Emp. That's not going to happen. The allure of the Dark Side is simply too strong. That said, the few servers where the Repub guilds set up shop (Only Veela comes to mind at present, and that's assuming that people posting on the forums are right. But, hey, it's the interwebs and therefore must be true.) will likely stay Repub heavy as folks will roll Light-Side there and big-bad-tough Sithies will "accidently" overlook rolling there. The only thing knowing the numbers will do is lopside everything even further.

I was really hoping sporks would be in TOR. So far, no joy.

I think the only good reply to an "arrow in the knee" story is another arrow, to the FACE. Anyone?
