  1. General Garza's (from Trooper storyline) are way too big for an old codger!
  2. *Every* planet I've tried to complete in the Codex has been bugged in one way or another for my 50 Consular (who has completed all the class quests). Person Of Note: Satelle Shah not working being probably the most glaring. You deal with her directly through every stage of the story, yet it never unlocks. http://www.swtor-spy.com has a list of all the Codex entries and how to get them (and if they're bugged). Please devs, start with the starting worlds for everyone and fix them, one entry at a time.
  3. It'll be released a week before Mists goes live. If it doesn't, even the dest servers will be ghost towns... and even if it does they may become ghost towns. My guild has taken a massive hit just from GW2's launch, and the rest of the players has expressed interest in Mists Of Pandaria. Whether you think WoW sucks or not, it is going to have a massive effect on server population. A lot of people joined SW because there was no WoW content worth playing.
  4. Casual doesn't necessarily mean poor player. Fixed.
  5. Pretty sure my Legacy is going to be taken when our server is finally granted transfer access. Tbh, it should go by Legacy level as to who has to rename (highest keeps theirs). Also, I had to pick a second choice when I unlocked Legacy the first time around. It isn't my fault that I have to transfer. Character names I've already occupied. OT: The volume of QQ after the free transfer system is closed will probably melt the forum servers. Can't wait to witness that!
  6. The cooldown you'll come across at low level as a Consular/Sorceror is a +Critical cooldown (lasts 20 seconds or two critical hits but can't be use for a minute). At high level you get a +Alacrity ability. Those are specific to Consulars/Sorcs, but other classes have similar. These relate to all classes: When you get to about level 20 you'll be able to buy, find or build a pair of Relics with an "on use" ability. Also, Adrenals give you a shot in the leg that count as a cooldown too. As long as you pick an Adrenal and a Relic that don't duplicate each other's effect (or your character's skills), "popping your cooldowns" will provide a massive boost, but may need to be timed on some bosses. Usually use them at the start of the fight (AFTER the tank has picked up the boss and got a couple of solid attacks in) and again as soon as possible. Occasionally the boss will be resistant or immune to damage and you pop your cooldowns at a specific time (as mentioned in post 2). The final phase of the fight against Soa in Eternity Vault (YouTube it) is a classic example, he needs to have a stone pyramid dropped on his head to stun him and break his damage immunity shield.
  7. The old way was 1 quite sizeable 1 minute tanking cooldown. How do you then balance the damage output of a boss? If you compensate for the tank having this cooldown available, you make the boss hard for non-biochems. If you assume the tank doesn't have this cooldown, it becomes easier for biochem tanks, and no tank takes any other profession. The way it is now, everyone has this single cooldown available, it's just cheaper for the biochems (who're probably providing medkits cost price/free of charge to the tank anyway).
  8. Is it worth it? I've crafted aug slots on Implants, and a guildie Artifice crafted an aug slot on a relic (his very first attempt on a Rakata relic). 5 pieces of tier gear. I traded a bucketload of blue Fort Stims for an auged Lightsaber (the hilt looks rubbish but I don't care - it has a white blade which is far more noticeable). That's 10 right there. Ear is probably aug-able too (though I have no proof). Bracers possibly, belt possibly, off-hand possibly. Excluding Ear, bracers, belt, and off-hand: 1000HP and +180 (+189 with Consular buff, +195 for dps with +3% talent) Primary stat. Approximately +10% boost to primary stat. Across your whole Op team means that last week's 1% wipe is this week's kill. And probably that 5% wipe too.
  9. Enabling of server merges would be an admission of failure to EA. I fully expect this post will be deleted for that comment, but as far as I can tell, this game is on it's deathbed with respect to subbers. The free weekenders probably have a fun time, but I doubt any would sign up considering the state the majority of the English EU servers seem to be in right now. I know I wouldn't, and I doubt I'll extend my subscription. 1.2 just doesn't look like enough to warrant it. I'll go back to WoW and actually pug some content as opposed to spamming LFM/LFG all night in Fleet. Stand outside the bank/AH in Stormwind, Argent Dawn EU and you'll see more players in 20 seconds than an entire evening on Republic Fleet, Perugas Mining Facility. I really wanted this game to succeed, but I suspected EA's puppet strings would get in the way. For the servers where it is simply imbalanced between Rep and Imp, maybe there should be an XP bonus depending on the ratio of active players on each side... Example: 500 total players. 300 Imp, 200 Rep. 60% Imp, therefore Republic players get 6% bonus xp (perhaps make this on kills only).
  10. Directive Seven was fixed a while ago, but then they broke it again. The first time I completed it, we wiped a few times due to the game spawning copies of the Trooper in our group. As long as it didn't start spawning Troopers (player number 2 in our case) we were fine. Towards the end of the fight, Troopers did start appearing, so we announced a burn phase boss only and barely got him down. It is proper rng as to whether this would happen or not, and having high dps will make the fight disproportionately easier to do. On the spaceship/turrets thing... are you sure you're doing it right? I've never had a problem there except a l2p issue on the first visit (going in blind without watching tutorials). Finally, you need to move quicker to get out of the lightning on Esseles. It is perfectly possible to do. If you do get hit by it, you ought to pop your medkit or hit a Force Armour bubble if you have one (to give the healer a little time to top you off). Also, if you have access to healing abilities, and more than one person has some health missing (other than the tank), give the healer a hand. What is a ***** on that fight is getting double hit by his sabre throw. Very little will save you other than a large health pool and/or a tough bubble.
  11. Downtime on a Saturday is quite frankly ridiculous, and why is it always EU that gets it on their prime-times? Why aren't the maintenance windows scheduled around server peak times? EU servers should get their maintenance in their evening and then US could get theirs 7 hours later. Seeing as the maintenance window is less than 7 hours is this not sensible? In addition, you get 3 hours of early-exploiters breaking the game on only (approximately) half the servers before you go and deploy a patch on the next set of servers if you put in an unforeseen exploit. Plus less EU players whining about not being able to play.
  12. Is there or will there be a UI API system for building addons in the same manner that you could do LUA scripts in WoW? Relating that, how about some macros for Mouseover healing or Focus cc'ing in larger engagements? Lack of search on these Forums hasn't exactly helped - couldn't find a topic that's covered it, though I would have thought it would have been asked already.
