  1. The LFG tag is not an amazing tool. It's on the same level as using general chat. It's persistent but passive and requires people to go search for it. Using the chat is at the moment but active and seeks out people. No one uses it because it doesn't really do anything. You tag yourself and hope three other people will come find you. The best thing to do is to lie and say "LF1M" or "LF2M". People are a lot more motivation to respond if they think something established already exists. Still needs a queue.
  2. Nar Shadda has Hutt Trading which is separate from faction GTN and available to both factions. You can put your stuff up and buy it on your alt. Set some silly high price if you are afraid of some one ninjaing your items (Unlikely since no one uses HTN). You can do the reverse and give money to your alt by selling junk for high price from alt to main. This is a work around. You should be able to transfer stuff to your alts.
  3. I have 400 Synthweaving on a 50 character. I RE stuff and sell it for fun, but really I'm just waiting to get a Crit Rakata Belt and Bracer, since they are BiS items for Jedi. Once I get those I'm switching to Biochem for cheap usables. I see no reason to keep it since I'm barely getting Luxury Fabric missions and I'm not getting crits when I do get them. My purple mats only come from GTN and I've already bought it out. My ability to craft and RE level 50 purple gear is to limited by ****** companion missions to want to bother. I guess Synthweaving could be good for leveling but planet commendations and quest rewards will get you the gear you need for the next planet. At level 43+ I had some blue and purples from crafting replacing my gear, but at that point I was using commendations to outfit my companions because they'd been so neglected. At 50 it's really easy to get Cent and Champ gear from PvP which is better than most trainer bought RE'd purples. I see no reason to keep it once you get your Rakatas. Some notes. Everything you buy from your trainer, or a schematic you find (Exluding Oranges) can be RE'd twice. Green->Blue->Purple or Blue->Purple->Purple+. Level 50 schematics drop from HM FPs and Ops. Underground Trading can find orange schematics and other sub-50 schematics can be found from another mission that I don't know off the top of my head. The only thing you need from HM FPs is Biometric Crystal Alloy for your Rakata gear.
  4. Nobody does. That's the issue. People are doing all sorts of kills but still can't get them to count. Far more likely that there is a bug.
  5. Oh, so there is a way to get Merc Coms? I thought it was unimplemented and only avaliable by conversion.
  6. Repeat Flashpoints. By 50 you can go through Maelstrom Prison/Foundry and anything before those with ease (Enemies don't attack when their level is grayed unless you run right over them). Black Talon/Esseles is best since they are short, you can be on your speeder the entire time, and they have the most LS/DS options. Also Diplomacy skill missions give some LS/DS points. Some of the Heroic missions on every planet has LS/DS options and are repeatable once every 24 hours. None of the repeatable level 50 missions have any LS/DS options.
  7. On Ilum, when people are asking for Ops, they mean the >4 person party system. Not Operations as in Raids. There is no PvP equivalent to EV.
  8. All reusable Biochem stuff still requires you to have Biochem.
  9. I'd really like this. It annoys me that once you get your healer companion every other companion is worthless (Or tank/DPS if you are a healer), and then your one good companion is benched once you hit 50. I'd like a reason to gear up my companions and have something to do with them.
  10. Random. Or at least random-ish. Some gifts might be more common. But companions won't only get gifts that they like when you send them on a mission.
  11. That is actually what I am going to do. Once I get my Augment Rakata from Synthweaving I'm dropping it for Biochem. I also severely doubt that equipment Rakata will be dropped to 124. Even if it does, that makes switching to Biochem an even better choice.
  12. I suppose credits could be spent on any gear you don't have, otherwise luxury items, more materials, or just give it to guildies. You can also lose credits by supplying your guild with the best possible stims/meds/adrels now that you'll be able to trade them, thus saving them credits to do whatever with. My view on it is that Biochem is a money making/saving craft. That seems to have been Bioware's intention and that is what this change is heading towards. It's particularly good for dedicated guild players. Your issue seems to be you think credits have no purpose. Which is true for people once they become super rich and have all their gear. In which case your crafts and everything else don't matter anyway. Biochem is still the best at that point since you can give cheap usable to other people. Other crafts are only good for pre-raids.
  13. Isn't that statement self-justifying? You are using your money for materials to craft freely for your guild. Which you can now do more beneficially because your best stuff isn't BoP. And you make more money selling the materials because you can't sell your best items. Now that you can sell them you may be able to make more from crafting then selling.
  14. He has some from the Security Key vendor at the Republic Fleet. You have to set up a security key to use that vendor.
  15. Getting your Legacy happens at the end of Act I. There is no announcement so it's easy to not know that. I just finished the JC class story and I have no idea when I went from Act II to Act III, and only know Act I ended because of the Legacy.
  16. You can run through The Esseles over and over to grind affection on him. At 50 the enemies will ignore you so you just space bar through the dialogue then mount run to each boss/glowing blue object. Figure out what he likes in the first run (Generally any top answer pleases him) then you can breeze through it.
  17. Not really arguing with it, but during that commentary was it obvious if Lucas was talking about fighting and force ability? Sidous controlled the galaxy; it's undeniable that he's the most powerful Sith in that respect. Having all the force power you want doesn't compare to ruling everything. In terms of raw fighting power, which is what most people argue about, the movies don't show much (Or any save one short and questionable scene) of Sidous' strength. And of course the power creep of people becoming more and more grand as more stories are created makes things seen in a 70s (And even 200s) live action movie seem lack luster.
  18. This one. Taris is an Act I planet for Republic, but an Act II planet for Empire. For same level planets every class quest is happening at the same time. I don't know the validity of shared world quests on shared planets.
  19. You lose your Crew Skill Level when you unlearn the skill.
