Returning to the game after awhile, and I am currently stuck at the 'Recent Update' message at the Launcher. Neither the 'Close' button nor the 'X' will function when I click on them. So, I am unable to reach the 'Play' button hidden beneath the message. I have restarted my computer, restarted my router, reinstalled the game, repaired the game, using Admin privileges, all the regular suspects. The game has been working well, and I had a power outage while in a Warzone. Attempting to return, to login, I have the problem described above using this computer. I did, though, install the game on a very old laptop so I could enter the game and create a ticket on a 2nd computer, here, I did not experience the technical difficult. The computer is, though, a POS...and is not suitable for playing the game. And, Im guessing that I may be waiting for a response to my ticket, so I am turning to the good people of the SWTOR forum for help. Thank you in advance! Please, any suggestions?

Hi, I need some advice. I've played MMORPGs for a couple of years now, but I've always healed. When I am called upon for dps, I am just awful, particularly if the dps is delivered in melee format. I want to have the experience of being a powerful dps. I'm back to the game after some time, and I wanted to know which classes are delivering impressive pvp dps. As my comment above suggests, I tend to prefer ranged, but I would consider learning how to melee, would probably improve my game to do so. Class/specialization/Advanced Class? Suggestions please? Thanks!

Bye SWTOR. I enjoyed the stories/the questing but now I see that this was truly just a single player RPG played online, not an MMO as I expected. Word! How many MMO's offer transerf? Almost all of em. So, EA has about a million models to emulate. A quality MMO would have a transfer system in place at launch.

... a simple update, please? They can talk about the problem, demonstrate awareness. I am not even asking for a specific date. I just want quality customer service: define the problem, outline the solution, and COMMUNICATE PROGRESS and setback. Are you afraid that more will leave if you reveal more info? AH, hellooo, we are already leaving.

Oh, I am sure they are VERY busy, very busy trying to decide if it's even worth saving.

WEEKS ago, EA announced the prospect of an "Early Summer Fix" - transfers of some variety. This announcement was made weeks ago. I think an update is LONG overdue. Can EA give us an update please?

As soon as I touch base with a few people in game. I am OUT OF HERE! EA clearly couldn't care less; they dont even try to stop the bleeding. Early summer was the official word weeks ago, and not even a simple update.

I only wish my problem was related to D3. I have the misfortune of having selected one of the 3-4 servers added right after xmas - bonus servers. Anturi Reach never has more than 10 in the city, and a /who will produce a list of 30 -60 people on - 1 - 50. There havent been enough 50s on to do WZs in I dont know how long. A 1-49 wz may pop during some evenings, MAY, and if it does you can expect to wait 2.5 hours or more. Early summer fix? It's Memorial Day [nearly], pools are opening, seems like early summer to me. Fix your broken game!

Really? This is hardly a professional or formal forum. This is not exactly high stakes writing. In other words, mistakes and wording problems are not exactly worth noting, unless of course that's the only way you are able to feel a sense of importance. Just sayin'.

I filed a ticket and I was told it was my fault for selecting a low population server, so there you go. It's our fault, clearly.

The list of 32 players includes players on a variety planets, player ships, etc., and the fleet, my current location. I might add, only 2 people on my fleet.

Ya, I totally bought into a brand. I thought the Star Wars brand would really provide me with a quality product, especially given all the years I waited as it was developed.

A date would likely result in many cancelations; I feel that mgt.'s only motivation for concealing the date would be to avoid mass exodus. Character transfer is such a standard practice in MMO; no need to reinvent the wheel. This system could have easily been in place at launch. Sigh.

If my /who produces only 32 results, does that mean that there are currently only 32 people on my entire server? sigh

Well, if it already exists elsewhere, a model is present. Why make us wait? It's not as if we are waiting for a fix to be invented. Many options exist and still we wait, wishing we could play. Safegaurds (again that already exist elswhere) might have been established pre-launch. Why would it have been so ridiculous, so difficult, to have paid transfers in place from day one?

Truly, to anyone else considering a transfer to a PVP server, Port Nowhere is consistently populated. I study the list regularly and Port Nowhere has risen to the top of my short list. I hope that it will not become the next Fatman.

When and if transfers are offered, I am off to Port Nowhere! It looks happening and I like the name. Port Nowhere, I feel like I am already there.

Well said! It's not impatience; it's a reasonable expectation to EXPECT the interactive features to be playable/usable.
