  1. Ok, apparently it's just my sh*tty luck acting up again. Thanks for the info.
  2. Has anyone been able to get the 20 or 21 augment schems? I've been running the parts missions for a couple weeks now, and I've gotten multiples of all the 22 schematics for syth, arms, and armormech from grade 6 missions, yet absolutely nothing for any of the professions from the grade 5 missions. Have I just had a two week long string of bad luck or do they not exist?
  3. First off, grats on 50! On topic, I went a different route and did slicing/scavenging/UT while leveling and dropped slicing at 50 to power level cyber, but I didn't gain a whole lot from it, other than the pre-nerf levels of credits. I certainly don't think it's worth dropping scav or UT for it at this point, both will benefit you more as you RE new schems, especially UT for the mando iron. Slicing will give you the schematics for the ship parts(grade 2 and epic versions) and the speeders, all of which can be obtained off the GTN for dirt cheap if your server is anything like the 2 I play on. To give you an idea on how often those schems dropped for slicers pre-1.2, I had 4 or more of each schem sitting in my cargo bay (13 of the damn speeder schems). In most cases people are selling them for well under even the default suggested GTN price hoping someone will take them off their hands. So, from a cybertech perspective, no, don't try to pick up slicing. A trip to the GTN can accomplish the same thing in about 5 minutes and probably under 50k. As for "must-have" schems, I gave up on crafting for profit a while back when my server pop started to decline, so someone else will have to comment.
  4. It was stated in the Dev Q&A that crit chance is based off of difficulty, ie orange missions/schematics have a base 10% crit chance and gray/green/yellow have a 15% crit chance. This is further modified by companion affection, up to an additional 5% at 10k affection for a total of 15% on orange missions/schems and 20% on all others. Any companion crit bonuses then add +1/+2/+5 percent to their respective skill. Taking my SW for example, Vette has a +5 crit to Treasure Hunting, so I could get a maximum of 20% crit rate on orange missions, or 25% crit rate on gray/green/yellow ones if I have her affection at 10k. That being said, I don't actually have TH on my SW. While the droid sensors are a step in the right direction, being able to adjust bonuses to what I actually use rather than the semi-random distribution they are now would be awesome.
  5. Totally a thread necro, yet the issue still exists... PS, what happened to being able to RE the tanking (or any) mods and armorings off raid gear for their schems? Did that get "fixed" to only be for the new EC and black hole comm gear now?
  6. Had the +41 endurance schematic drop off of a random mob during the new black hole dailies, not the heroic 4. I don't have artifice and no one in my guild does either (small guild). I've had the schem up on the GTN for almost a week now and no one seems interested. I've yet to see a magenta +41 schem or crystal for sale or equipped, but that may be because Bondar Crystal server isn't the most happening place.
  7. I re-rolled to a more populated server just after 1.2 hit and decided to change things up a bit this time around (already have a 50 sith jugg) so I went with a trooper - vanguard. Granted, I'm only level 19 so far, but holy **** if this is how the class plays after being "nerfed to being unplayable," I'm an idiot for playing a jugg all these months. Using my jugg leveling experience as a comparison, I tear through mobs/ people in a quarter of the time and have been in the top 3 damage in the 15-20 warzones I've done where as I gave up on pvp with my jugg as it wasn't much fun in this level range. The only class that I have troubles with are mara/sents, they drop me before I can get them much below 50% most of the time. So, for some perspective, a player new to the class post 1.2, coming from a Jugg, thinks troopers are a lot of fun so far.
  8. I ran into the issue when I was crafting one of the reusable cybertech grenades. First hard mode I ran I got the alloy and was stoked, but it was late so I threw it in the crafting queue with a couple epic ship upgrades and logged off for the night. Next day I log in and I have the ship upgrades but no grenade and no alloy or mand iron, etc. Made a ticket under the bug report heading and waited about a week before a CS droid contacted me in-game about it. He said they verified the claim and the grenade showed up in my mail about 30 seconds later. Was waiting that long to get a response annoying, yes it was, but contrary to the most vocal posters on these forums EA/BioWare isn't deliberately trying to screw over paying customers. You apparently have a limit (3 if I remember right) to how many items you can have restored within 6 months, but items restored due to a game bug don't count against that limit. So forgive my skepticism but I don't believe you're telling the whole story here.
  9. They're not answering because it's a well known issue if you'd done a bit of looking... Just hit craft and it'll craft just fine, even displayed as 0/1. Just don't log off or queue the item up with anything else on that same companion or you'll run into another well known issue.
  10. Why? Granted I don't know your gaming background, skill level, etc, but why ignore the content that the developers intended you to enjoy enough that you keep playing after you finish your story arc? Gear isn't really an issue unless you're a tank or healer (if you are, both have dps talent trees if you don't want that responsibility in operations). You'll do just fine as a dps in level 50 blues or lvl 50 mods in orange gear, the enrage timers aren't harsh (at least in EV). The only reason anyone will want anything better is because they want to blitz through it without any effort. Tactics-wise fights usually have 1 or 2 gimmicks, once you know the gimmick, it's not as intense. If you're in a semi-organized group, someone familiar with the fight can easily call out in ventrilo/mumble when something is happening (adds, frenzy, etc). There are also dozens of walk-through videos for each boss on youtube if you want to do some research. Long story short: Don't give up on a major part of end-game content because of one bad experience. Find a guild if you don't have one you like at the moment and run with them. PUG raid groups are generally to be avoided as most prefer pointing fingers and ridicule over effort, but maybe I'm just getting more cynical.
  11. This. I hit 50 not too long ago, started doing my dailies and such to the point that I had modded out my orange leveling gear with quest reward epic tanking armoring, mods, and enhancements, then I bought some crafted purples for the other slots. I ended up with 15300 hp as a jugg tank. I compared this to a full columni jugg tank in my guild with 18+k. Health is obviously not an insignificant stat, but comparing other defensive stats, I had 4-5% better defense and shield chances and almost 9% better absorb. The "better" gear gave more hp and threat stats at the expense of defensive stats, negating some of that health, which makes me wonder if I should even replace some pieces.
  12. Everyone always says they're underpowered, but in the case of the jugg tank, I can't argue against it. I feel more bad-*** on my low-mid level powertech than I do on my lvl 50 jugg. With threat based off of dmg done (hampered by a +threat form that limits resources gained) and a grand total of 1 increased threat ability (on a one minute cd) in the rotation of 8-10+ abilites used regularly, jugg tanking needs some love. I'm all for challenging rotations, but I want to be able to excel if I hit everything perfectly, not just be on par with someone barely paying attention. Just look for the hundred or so threads addressing the topic, and admit to the possibility that something may not be working as intended.
  13. Slicing isn't like any of the other non-crafting skills, it will never provide a raw material for crafting. Therefore, it will never provide the rare crafting materials required for higher quality cybertech crafts, those all come from underworld trading. What slicing does do, is provide a chance on crit of providing a schematic for cybertech, such as the speeders or spaceship upgrades, or (haven't seen anything but cybertech schematics myself, but supposedly can provide schematics for other crafting skills as well. There is also a chance on a crit to receive a one-use mission for any of the other non-crafting skills, ex: scavenging or underworld trading, which generally provide the rarer crafting materials for that skill (you still need the required skill in scavenging, diplo, arch, etc to do the mission). Personally, I haven't been too impressed with slicing after the nerf, and I've had it at 400 pretty much since official launch (I leveled that character during the early access week). It may just be my server or my luck, but I have 15 or so of the blue and purple cybertech mount schematics just piled up in my bank taking up space, it seems every time I get a crit, I get one of those, and they don't sell for crap.
  14. The poll questions could have been worded better/ given more options. I like that BioWare is attempting to improve the gcd and UI, but overall, no I don't like the UI change. Pseudo epilepic seizure concerns aside, from a Sith Jugg viewpoint, I usually have a lot of abilities that are barely on/almost off cooldown, may not have the rage required for some abilities, or may not be in range or too close to use other abilites. I'll grant that it is partly a matter of adaptation to the new system, but it is very hard to distinguish between these states without devoting more attention to staring at the ability bars than at what I'm fighting.
  15. Seems to work both ways, I'm 43 on my immortal jugg and have noticed that with some groups of mobs i'll have 2, 3, or even 4 separate stacks of armor debuffs. Those same pulls are where I feel like i'm wearing paper mache instead of heavy armor.
