  1. Frankly, the change to the bag system will go a long way towards resolving this issue. People will be able to acquire full Centurion gear in a relatively short amount of time. Yes, Centurion is not as good as Battlemaster, but it still provides a healthy amount of Expertise, and considering the heavy DR on Expertise once you hit 500+, it should even out the playing field quite a bit.
  2. IMO it just needs to provide Diminishing Returns on CC inverse to the amount of resolve you have.

     

    In other words:

    50% resolve = next CC on you lasts half as long.

    80% resolve = next CC lasts 20% as long.

     

    Perhaps that's taking a bit too far, I don't know, but I feel like it needs to be more effective than it currently is.

I say in addition to the current crafting-crit-gives-augment-slot mechanic, there needs to be something craftable that adds an augment slot to any item that does not yet have one, no matter where that item came from. That way we can have maximum diversity and freedom of choice, instead of always having a certain item type superior.

     

    Let a proffesion craft an item that adds a augment slot to any gear, problem solved.

     

    Or let different proffesions make items that adds slots to different gear pieces, legs, chest, etc.

     

    This will let you put augments in any existing gear.

    For example, I'd like to use the Saber Marshal set on my inquisitor, but since only crafted orange gear can have augments, then I really can't if I want to maximize my stats, and the whole customization idea goes out the window. Yes, you get to choose between a number of crafted items, but that's still relatively restrictive, compared to how it could be.

  4. It's not a factions-specific problem, I can almost guarantee you. It's something to do with matches ending after an auto-end got aborted and the game is shorter than average - I've been paying very close attention to when this has happened to me and reported in detail so I can say with at least some degree of certainty.

     

    I don't think it's that simple. I've had normal matches that lasted their full duration, with the "this warzone will auto end" message never displaying, and still didn't get credit for the win.

     

    Edit: Guess I should read the whole thread before replying, but at least we have a more confirmation that there is absolutely no rhyme or reason to it, other than it not counting for the entire team.

  5. I've noticed a steadily rising trend of healers inflating their heals by damaging themselves and healing up. Whether they drain their own life or stand in acid. I agree that there needs to be a better medal system for healers, but not the one you propose. Perhaps an additional medal for healing 100K and so on for healing friendly targets?

     

    I generally only do this to get the 5k heal medal. It's impossible to get it with Trauma up, so you have to do it out of combat, and that's one of the easier ways to get it.

  6. This change would make sense if each bag level gave out comms of its name type.

     

    Which would of course require you to have Centenarian bags reintroduced.

     

    3 Bag types

     

    Centurian - Purchasable with 100/100 Wz/Merc with no requirement rewards cent gear tokens

    Champion - Purchasable with 200/200 wz/Merc with requirement of lvl 50 rewards Champ Tokens, and the chance for a champ gear token.

    Battlemaster - Purchasable with 400/400 WZ/Merc with Valor lvl 60 requirement, rewards BM tokens. ( though they would have to increase the token cost )

     

    What is this, an idea that makes sense? Blasphemy!

  7. Why do people not read? It's not a bug. It's a mechanic so people don't get rewarded for beating outnumbered opponents in a controlled/fair environment.

    I assure you I just beat a full team and didn't get credit. Maybe an opponent left at the very end, I don't know, but if you think that should somehow mean I don't deserve credit for the win, you're on crack.

  8. Go to school to become a software engineer and then get back to me on how easy it is to track down a small bug in a few million lines of code.

     

    Software engineer here. I cannot for the life of me fathom how something that should be relatively simple such as objective tracking could be this difficult to fix. I just can't.

     

    This is a major major issue and needs to be fixed ASAP. Period.

  9. I am absolutely sick and tired of this bug. The fact that it has existed for this long and is STILL not fixed is beyond pathetic.

     

    I understand some bugs are hard to reproduce. I understand not everything can be fixed in 2 lines of code. But this? This is a game breaking issue and needs to be at the top of every bug priority list at Bioware. FIX IT NOW.

  11. They never do cause the arena QQ will continue until they have a better gear than the people that only play wz , so if ya dont want that i advise ya join and cut the arenas as a whole.

     

    That makes absolutely no sense.

     

    WoW's problem is that PvP gear progression is tied to Arenas and RBGs. The system is perfectly fine otherwise.

     

    When rated warzones are added, hopefully they don't bring higher level gear with rating requirements along with them. Same deal with arenas, if and when they are added.

     

    Rated PvP should give vanity rewards, titles, speeders, or cool looking gear with the same stats as what you can farm regularly.

    Actually, I would. Arena is the only aspect of WoW that I still find fun.

     

    I really don't see why people are so up in arms about no arena.

     

    Look, if you give it the same implementation as WoW, where arenas used to be

    the end-all be-all of high end PvP, then yes, I could see why people would be against it. If you make it an equivalent progression path where you have rated warzones, and rated arenas, then what's the big deal?

     

    Personally, when rated warzones are added, I hope they don't tie gear progression into that system. Rated PvP (or all PvP for that matter, but I understand that this is an MMO, and some sort of progression is required) should be played with no gear inequalities, people should want to do it to have fun, and to try to be the best. You can add titles, speeders, and other vanity rewards to it.

     

    Anyway, my point is simply, if rated warzones are added, then how can it be possibly hurt to also have arenas alongside of them?

     

    As for the balance argument, SWTOR devs seem to be a lot more intent on balancing PvP than WoW's devs, so thinking that somehow arena would wreck class balancing doesn't make any sense to me. They are trying to balance PvP as a whole, whether that means world PvP, warzones, or potential arenas, it really doesn't matter.

    A PvE geared player SHOULD be at a disadvantage in PvP when going against a PvP geared player. If you disagree with this, then there is nothing to argue, because, frankly, you're wrong.

     

    Now, forgive me if I'm missing something, but wouldn't a PvP geared player be at a disadvantage in PvE simply because part of his item budget is going towards a stat that does absolutely nothing against NPCs?

    That leaves plenty for the lower levels and a good grouping for the mids and leaves the highest players in a bracket.

     

     

    Level 50s MUST have their own bracket. There is a huge difference between a freshly dinged level 50 and a fully geared one. Matching those fully geared ones against bolstered level 10s is a disaster.
