  1. @1 sadly there is no exchange planed ... i hate it ... as bm you still get plenty champ commendations and they are useless @2 no clue @3 from what i ve read 1.2 will include the next pvp tier (war hero)

The spec is ok ... but only for warzones and only if you die a lot... your dps is not as good as it can be but still usefull ... but you will run out of force even while dpsing wihtin a few lucky procs even faster, if you throw a heal every now and then. So if you plan on dieing a LOT ... you can still be with this build in the top spots on the scoreboard of most wz but its a lot tougher than when you speccialise in either dps or heal. Did it ... was a blast but am happy to have specced away from it. Edit: http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#201GhrRbdbdMZbZcMcRo.1 This is what i am using atm most of the time ... you can call it healer spec with some teeth The only heal you will be missing (in comparision to a full healer) is the aoe heal, which isn't realy usefull in pvp anyways. The other heals will help your survivability a lot and thanks to force surge you will be able to keep your buddies alive a lot longer than with your original spec. You get the cost reduced bubble ... but lose the +20% ... it still will be one of your most powerfull healing assets, since it is insta cast. When it comes to damage, it is nice to have force lightning spammable ... kinda as a filler you can use when noone is dieing (carefull ... it will drain you fast) You also have Death Field, which will help a lot with defending objectives and does rather decend damage. And as a finisher/bonus you have shock talented for the 2nd damage proc. You should be able to heal enough for pvp and most(if not all) hard mode flashpoints. But still ... a traditional healer build will have an easier time. If you realy have to fight a 1on1 with someone, make use of all your slows ... you have a 20% slow trough affliction, 40 or 50% trough force lightning (yaii spammable) and your 6sec 40% slow. Put them all on the ball carrier in hutball and laugh your *** off about his runspeed ... and the best of it .... it adds NO RESOLVE. Your dps will most certianly be lacking but about 100k is easily possible in a warzone that isn't finished early. You will be a more than decend healer in pvp and still be able to help out in situations where no heals are needed
  3. it is a great game ... and with some time it will be even more awesome, since players won't run out of content as fast as we did. The only big problem this game has ... is it's community. I have never seen more people crying and flaming in the forums about so minor issues like here. And i have played so much worse mmos than this one ... probably it's because we got a big load of the wow comunity (temporarily) and they are used to flaming the **** out of everything and returning after a few months back to their pandas.
  4. Its anice change, but there will still be no use for the champ commendatiosn you get when opening a bm bag and beeing unlucky. It's nice to get Bm tokens from fleet/merc coms, but i would like to have the other comendations i get during the grind have a use too. At least give some stim/adrenal packs that can be bought for them (higher stack size than the for fleet coms) or a way to turn them back into fleet coms

Merc for a healer that can take a beating (altough all can handle a lot with guard on them) Agent for mobility (i think) Sorc for insanly nice burst heals (single target) altough thats getting fixed And in theory for aoe heal but that one is a waste in pvp the skillpoints are better off somewhere else
  6. I agree a bit ... The dailies get annoying ... i don't need a second path to pvp gear tough ... i would love some different pvp dailies and a rotation between them. BUt don't ask me how they can do that with only 3 warzones atm

  8. Most fun situation i had was Ballcarrier ping pong ... The carrier (a warrior) got pulled by sorc 1 nearly instantly grabbled back by a Bountyhunter The warrior jumps up again Gets knocked down And pulled up again by sorc 2 That all happened in about 5-10 seconds ... i was rolling on the floor laughing tears

    Sorcs are not OP

    It's funny to see what illusions some people have about sorcs ... 6k bubble LOL 3k and if you timed it right and are lucky enough to be in a 1on1 with nobody throwing stuns and so on at you, you can get a 2nd one up. Those 3k don't benefit from armor mitigation or anything. The bubble goes down with 1 hit from a well geared player or 2 from a undergeared one. Most of the ulitity complains are hilarious ... people forget that a sorc who realy tries (you cant btw) to get all the utility talents has nearly no damage, in comparison to a dps spec. And again ... most of the utility stuff is worthless, except in hutball ... it's just way to easy to break line of sight there and run off. BUT thats a problem of the warzone and not the class. The damage ... don't make me laugh .... Sorcs have incredible nice numbers at the end of a warzone, but only because of our aoe attacks. As soon as the sorc has a dps class on its back, they can't continue this and have start kiting to survive (or just continue and die ... i mena there is hardly any harm in that ... again a mistake of the warzones) Even a Madness sorc can't deal much damage, while beeing on the run ... most damage would be from the dots and they tick for what 200? LOL AND healers can remove them ... (sadly hardly any healer ever does) Force and ignoring Armor: THis is a funny one ... most people think that all our attacks ignore armor ... Well they don't ... we have a total of 2 dots (if you are 31 madness) and one aoe that bypass armor. And the damage from both isn't realy scary. (especially since the surge nerf) Also please stop thinking that sorcs are assasins ... not the same skills ... not the same ... only the same stupid icon at the end of the warzone. (i could be wrong with the icon tough) For the healer imortal mode issue ... well yeah but thats a problem with all healers and sorcs aren't even the best when it comes to that. Use some interrupts and don't waste your stuns at the start of the fight and you should be able to take the healer out ... or at least put enough pressure on him to prevent any heals going to the team (thats even better than him beeing dead, since he would be back within a few seconds) Try some 1on1 duels with sorcs ... you will see that your fear is mostly misplaced.
  10. Its a bit like bioware expected all dps to be 31 lightning. I think sorcs got the most worthless bm/rataka stuff possible well some set boni are nice but i mean the stats Let's hope that 1.2 and the upcoming crafting stuff will help out with that and give us acceptable mods to put into the items. Otherwise sorcs will have to farm for agent stuff, just to throw out the alacrity mods
  11. did you realy expect a (possibly insta cast) cc that last 1minute in pve to keep the health of the mob down?
  12. The only usefull thing i see here is the hutball key and you don't realy need that The game is easy enough, if you use the hotkeys avaliable ... no need for macros

I understand why you put that many points into the lightning tree but atm wrath >>> lightning storm and forked lightning and you have now 2 skills with no cooldown force lightning and lightning strike you need to keep casting lightning strike to have a change to get the lightning storm proc you will hardly ever be able to use force lightning (or gimp your damage while doing so) if you want to go full lightning, thats ok but not very mobile but this kind of hybrid spec gimps your damage output big time
  14. a bit sad .. it will be much tougher to push badly geared guys trough a hard mode but meh ... i ll just have to be a bit more picky when it comes to making a team in pvp it was kinda awesome and overpowered ... so i understand why it needed a fix

  16. Just as a reminder, a full heal spec isn't realy viable for pvp As a sorc you have to option to be a good healer AND have an acceptable amount of damage and utility. The only sad thing is that you can't do raids with the "modified pvp healer" spec But hardmodes are still easy and all the other pve content is even a lot easier and faster, if you go hybrid into a damage tree (preferable madness for force lightning spam and deathfield)
  17. Sadly ... nothing Most items that don't require biochem to use are useless or a waste of time. You have to collect a lot of resources (or buy them) and get 1 item from each production line, with a max of 5 It just doesn't pay If you want to help players just make a bunch of health stims and hit the market. Adrenals are nice but they are costly and a very short time of use, which makes them undesireable for most Medpacks are nice for pve and you will sell a few to people starting with hard modes, but again the costs to make them, make them again not realy welcome. And in pvp is no market for the medpacks, since the pvp medpacks are stronger (ok longer timer but still) and you get them for (after a certain equipment level) more or less useless wz comendations. That would only leave implants ... and again no use for endgame A player can simply (and should) do the pve dailies for a week or so and gets rataka implants. Tl dr: Making profit with biochem with level50 stuff is nearly impossible. Stick to the lower level items. Mainly Implants and Medpacks that also heal the companion

    Ah well, despite knowing better i ll try to help out and clarify a few points ... 1. Sorcs are the best aoe Healers -> True that. Our Aoe heal is awesome. BUT it's the skill on the very top of the healer tree and costs a fortune. (and despite in voidstar, pretty much useless in pvp since you never should cuddle up) A guy with hte aoe heal is a pure Healer, therefore crappy dps and still quite vulnderable (in comparison to for example trooper healers) since you can interrupt them and should! 2. Sorcs Have so High Dps -> Again true that. Ok i ll have to split that in 2 parts Aoe: Most of our best dps skills depend on the enemies cuddling each other. If you are lucky with your procs you can deal an incredible amount of dps, but then you have to die ... simply because you are out of force and empty (most of the dps force regaining skills are still bugged or worthless in spike situations) Single Target Stuff: Not bad stuff here either, but all our dots for example can easily be removed by a healer. So if you healer knows what he does (in case you don't have one, your team is most likley screwed regardless vs which class) he can take a great deal of the potential dmg a sorc does away and that without much effort. (love to do that in games full of sorcs) 3. Utility: This is the only point i would say that is true. Sorcs have a bit to much utility. CC, stun and knockback and pull(for friendlies) is to much. These skills allowe a good player do annoy the hell out of meele oponents. So while i would say that we need some, otherwise every meele will **** us ... i would love to see some changes here Probably higher costs and cooldowns or some skilltree switches for the bonus like bubble blind. Oh and for the bubble haters ... the thing pops with 2 hits ... sometimes even less. I would kill to get a 25% dmg reduction shield that makes me imune to interrupts like troopers do (ok again healer but i am one^^) And a last thing the people who think sorcs can do all that all day long ... well they never played one. As dps you can and will run out of force so quick ... its sad (if you use all your procs and skills) As healer you are fine, as long as you don't use the maximum healing you can in theory do. And as soon as for example a marauder starts bashing the **** out of you, you have to ignore your force maintaining rotation, just to keep up with him) AND the sorc healing will be nerfed as already mentioned in the upcoming patch.
  19. bh i think have like troopers the skill that they can't be interrupted with their shield up (damn i would love to have this skill^^) And are you certain that it wasn't another heal? Sorcs have 2 heals and a hot, all have a greenish icon and all have a cast bar.
  20. Even if you don't have your bags ready on 50 ... just do the pve dailies a few times and stock up on the purple 50 mods. Makes it easier ... still saying that who wants to pvp at 50 and doesn't have the bags .... well his/her own fault. But still if you don't run in with greens (which i see sadly a lot) you can compete. Sure, you won't smash everything in sight like in the 1-49 bracket but you can be usefull. The main problem i see is not the equipment but the brackets ... always fighting against lowbies pushes your ego ... you don't hide, you never run, you don't know how to kite ... then you get 50 and whoops now you HAVE to know how to do all this or are screwed ... but hey ... it's easier to log into the forums and cry a bit. This game hands you nearly everything without any work ... and the few steps that you have to take seem still be to much for most. Just sad
  21. for all lightsaber wearing classes it should still be easy to see who is what ... anyways why would you want to pick on poor low geared people?^^ And after the first hit you should see on the damage if he is in greens or full bm
  22. So if i as a healer always have my pocket tank close to me ... i can kill 4-5 people? Oh wait no ... i can probably survive ... a long time ... not indefinitly, simply because this kind of pressure doesnt allow a rotation that maintians your force ... so yeah ... i ll stand there for about 2 minutes and heal nonstop myself and probably if the enemies are so stupid, the tank too. Great ... but uhm i don't do any damage ... the tank does laughable damage ... and hmm well yeah no contribution to any of the goals of the warzone. (and in hutball, where this could be an issue ... it's so easy to just knock one off and seperate the two) So your point is that healers benefit from 2 of the 3 expertise boni like everyone else? Sure nerf healers!!! Just lol

  24. have you guys considered, that those vendors wont make it live? Probably only there for test purposes to give players a chance to see the stuff on the testserver?
