  1. Defense is practically useless against high end PvE content, since it only affects "white" damage. And Vanguards have much higher shield and absorb. Indeed. And now we're essentially equivalent to a Medium Armored DPS that can taunt. And how often do you hear people wanting Sentinels to tank?
  2. Stop posting this. Here's the Shadow class description from the official website: Tactical Role(s): Melee Damage, Melee Tank You severely misunderstand what the devs are saying. They're saying they intend our damage mitigation to be slightly less than other tanks, but for our healing to make up for it. The problem is that it doesn't. Not even close. It didn't even before the change, and it absolutely doesn't now.
  3. Yup, totally in line! - Significantly lower armor than all other tanks - Significantly lower damage reduction than all other tanks - A healing ability that's now hilariously gimped, and which doesn't really matter anyway when a crit one/two shots you because you're essentially tanking as a Sage. And I'm not unsubbing because of a nerf. I'm unsubbing specifically because I'm not going to be able to find parties any longer.
  4. What in the hell are you talking about? Reread the post. They massively nerfed Shadows. Massively. To the point where they are no longer viable as main tanks in PvE. They received both a huge healing nerf and a huge armor nerf. They were not improved in any way, and they absolutely are the weakest tank class now. There is no logical reason any group would want a Shadow tank now, and I'm probably going to unsub because of it. I have no interest in rerolling or respeccing to DPS.
  5. Pretty sure I'm gonna unsub over this, assuming it makes it off the PTS. Not really interested in PvP, and I have no idea why any group in their right mind would ever want a Shadow tank at this point. Additionally, I'm not really addicted enough to get another character geared at level 50.
  6. Me as well. 67/67 as well as the +10 datacron, and nothing. No title, no recognition. Nada. How depressing. Come on, Bioware. You couldn't have thrown me a "Jedi Archivist" title?
  7. That's what happens when the factions are at a roughly 2:1 ratio. If it gets worse than that, however, it just turns into a catastrophe. The imps overrun the base and spawn camp. Also, it only works when there are a ton of people. In the morning, Republic is just hopeless. 10 imperials and 5 reps means you're just going there so the imps can farm you.
  8. I agree. My character is a goody-two-shoes, and even she chose to bomb the fleet. We're in a friggin' war, for Force's sake.
  9. There are several lightsabers with Blue Crystals installed that don't require alignment, though -- one of my guildmates dual wields blue and red sabers, and he's Light IV. I have yet to hear of a saber with a red crystal that didn't exclude Light characters. Since alignment follows faction for most people (though definitely not all), it is another example, to me, of Imperial characters having way more pleasing appearance options than Republic.
  10. The hilarious thing is that 350,000 is a fantastic number, and if you click through to the analyst source, it's actually using the massive success of TOR to show that the MMO market is going to continue to grow.

    @Devs- Respond

You realize you can get PvP bags from Ilum, right?
  12. Please remember that WoW had essentially no PvP other than ganking when introduced. While I'm a fan of organized PvP, there's nothing in the definition of MMORPG that says it has to be focused more on PvP than PvE.
  13. That level 30 was ridiculous. The bolster system works well until level 50, when you can pile on +Expertise gear. Especially in Huttball, where proper tactics are far more important than how much damage you can do. Honestly, a 10-49 and 50 bracket system would be just perfect.

    Ilum crap!

You realize most people aren't level 50, right? In any case, I'd like to see some proof backing up the OP's statement that trading objectives is against the ToS. That's essentially saying that whenever I pass an Imp and don't kill him in a PvP area, I'm liable to be banned.
  15. I'm almost positive these are recipes for Cybertech showing up in our trainer, for some reason. The reason it says you aren't high enough level to train them is because you're rank 0 in Cybertech. That's my guess.
  16. Nope. From what I've noticed, you don't get any extra credits or commendations after you hit 50.
  17. I'm not sure what you're saying. Yes, the PvP weapon is worse outside of PvP. It's better inside of PvP. You seem to be thinking that PvE is default, but there is a significant subset of people for whom PvP is their main focus. The PvP weapon has slightly lower stats, slightly higher base damage, and an expertise bonus. The crafted weapon has slightly higher stats, lower base damage and secondary bonuses instead of expertise. The PvP weapon is better for PvP, the crafted one is better for PvE. They're functionally equivalent. I don't know why you're getting bent out of shape about this.
  18. Mythic did both Dark Age of Camelot and WAR.
  19. ...That makes no sense. It's certainly a bug. Mods aren't moddable. There are a couple level 400 Lightsaber recipes for Artifice. They require op/hard flashpoint materials, and they're basically equivalent to the tier 1 PvP sabers.
  20. Every skill has BoP equipment meant for the crafter only. You get unique speeders. I get ****** relics with no stats equal to the low-tier PvP ones. Consider yourself lucky.
  21. Sorry, I was being vague. But yes, there's a level restriction. Put your cursor on the node (in the game itself, not the minimap). If the name is grey, it means it's too low level to get points from. If it's green, you'll get a point. If it's yellow, you'll get two. If it's red, it's too hard for you to harvest. This is similar to the way the missions work. If you look, there's a little dot on the side of the missions. Grey, no skill increase. Green, 1 points. Yellow, 2 points (usually). Note that there's no red, here, as you can't actually see any missions unavailable to you.
  22. I agree with you that Artifice seems 100% useless right now. However, things are currently changing on a weekly basis, so I'm probably going to ride it out. I don't really want to start to level Biochem just to see it nerfed, and see Artifice get a bunch of new recipes in 3 weeks.
  23. You're seriously saying you've made a modification with a modification slot? Yo dawg, I heard you like mods.
  24. You've made a modification with an open augment slot? That is impressive! But I'll chime in and say I've never critted with Artifice that I've noticed. It's kind of depressing, and it makes me want to switch my craft after I'm done making my Artifact orange crystal.
