  1. Imagine if the class stories were single player and released like The Walking Dead chapters are, would have made Bioware a good amount of money I think.
  2. Fanboys and haters really are two sides of the same coin. He clearly stated that he was giving his opinion about the 1-20 levels that he had played, and not anything to do with endgame. Overall I think he hit the mark quite well. My issue with the game is mainly combat feeling very static and uninvolving which he talked about. I do enjoy the story aspect, but every time I have to spend 20 mins or so in combat I just feel like opening youtube and watch the stories instead.
  3. I pay if I enjoy playing the game, I stop paying if I don't. It really is as simple as that, has nothing to do with "giving them a break".
  4. I honestly don't get posts like this. Bioware is nothing like how they used to be before EA bought them. Their past says very little about their ability to make this game great.
  5. It really didn't. Especially when you add into account EA's wish for every game to sell a lot of DLC.
  6. It will most likely kill Bioware, I expect DA3 to be the last Bioware game before EA decide to shut it down.
  7. You talk like this will be a problem for a long time, at most the queue time will last for a few weeks before people start disappearing again.
  8. I think that more than anything to do with the game itself, this MMO has a problem concerning who's making it. EA is company that is hated by almost everyone to some degree in the gaming world, and when it comes to SP and MP games that's fine because you don't really have to interact much with them. If a DLC practice doesn't work then people complain for a few weeks and move on, but the game is already bought, it won't affect sales much. But in an MMO it's all about keeping a good, honest, solid interaction with players throughout months and years. That is where I see this game failing, because quite frankly the communication from Bioware and EA has been downright awful almost from the start which causes a good amount of discontent very quickly. And no one reacts more harshly than a disappointed MMO player, as we can see with all the trash it gets on all forums and sites.
  9. And people say that it's the haters that troll.
  10. I've followed GW2 for a while and I'm still not sure if it's the best thing that MMO has seen for years or if it will be a complete failure. Concerning the topic title though, with 8 years and as many subscribers as they've had, WoW could shut doors tomorrow and still have reached a potential that SWTOR never will. One can hate WoW if they want, but it's a game that have brought entertainment to a whole lot of people. Not liking it is fine, I don't like CoD, and I don't like Halo, or Zelda, or even WoW anymore. But I realise that it's my subjective opinion, and am intelligent enough to know that they're all good games.
  11. I doubt anyone actually counts MLS as still being active.
  12. This excuse with WoW and release is about as thin now as when it started, no one gives a **** if it wasn't there at release, we're playing now in 2012 and what the games have now is what is important.
  13. Trolling is the single more overused word in this forum, and it's downright annoying to see someone post a question/opinion/discussion and get an arrogant reply like this in return.
  14. All these topics that always ends up being about what the best mmo is makes me think of Highlander by now. "There can be only one."
