Question for the Annhiliation Marauders out there that're more experienced than myself. Do you bust your *** to keep the Deadly Saber stacks from falling, (ie. throw in a force scream instead of a saber attack) or do you let it fall and just refresh when possible?

Doesn't need to be, but as a tank for many years now in multiple MMO's my response to your post is this: If I need to hold it, I will grab it, hold it and position it in a way that I decide, not by anyone else. Why? Because that's my job, and well over 75% of the time someone tells me to do it differently it becomes clear that they don't know what the **** they're talking about.

Less tanks per Ops group means more groups over-all allowing more dps and heals into ops groups. Seriously, read between the lines of your own post and you'll see that all you're saying is: "I don't want to start my own Ops groups and the Ops groups that're starting already have their Tanks, so I'm going to go cry about it on the forums instead of actually doing something about it myself".

Let's be honest, it's a bit difficult to see what's REALLY doing the best for our class without combat logs. Not saying it can't be done, but, it's harder and more time consuming.

Affection is for craft skill effectiveness and storyline, not combat effectiveness.

Well I think your biggest problem is gear then. If you're only going off of quest gear, you're missing alot of extra's from crafting, or commendation pieces.

Have you been keeping on top of your gear? (Trading commendations for mods, etc) What spec are you running? What skills are you using? How geared have you kept your companions? We need a fair bit more information about what you are doing, before we can say what you should be doing.

Use the time to group with your guildies and get to know them better until the rest of the playerbase catches up.

1) I'm on the fence about this one. Personally, I think a LFG chat that just hits all worlds would be enough. Otherwise, I'm afraid it'd evolve into another cross-server LFG. And that's no bueno. 2) Agreed. 3) By "specialization" do you mean your advanced class? If so, no. The advanced classes are classes of their own. Asking to switch back and forth is like asking to respec from a Mage to a Warrior. If you want a Mage and a Warrior, level both. (Did not reference WoW, merely the archetypes themselves. Just sayin') 4) Seems cartoony to me which is why I always turn them off. If they have an on/off option, so be it.

1 and 2) You'll get sweeping slash in a couple of levels. 3) This isn't WoW, so don't compare the threat generation in WoW to the threat generation in SWToR. It's nice to actually have a challenge now, and makes you feel fantabulous when you do your job well. 4) Several minute CD? Horrible exaggeration. 1 min untalented, 45 second talented. That should be all you need if you're doing your job right. 5) You're the tank. You establish your kill order when you start the run. 6) Deal with it. 7) If you look around and see stuff that's attacking someone other than you, you don't have threat on it. Fix your tunnel vision. 8) if your DPS continues to do this, talk with your healer to ensure he dies. Alot.

Hi, I've played a tank for 7+ years now in multiple MMO's, and I have to say.... No. Why? Simple. Because I see absolutely no reason what-so-ever why I should let a DPS or healer direct how I'm going to hold the mobs that I need to hold onto. It just doesn't make sense. I grab / pull mobs in a way that makes it easier for me to control whats going on, which in the end makes things easier on the healer. DPS? They're a dime a dozen. I'm slowly collecting my friends list of good DPS, but it's hard to find the ones that haven't started their MMO experience with Cataclysm.

I have to comment on the "people with lives come to play for fun" comment. I work alot. I bust my *** off to do good at my job. I'm taking a course in March which I have to study my *** off for so that I can continue with what I want to do. In my down time, I like to play something and excel at it. DPS meters (when I'm not tanking) help me to show how I'm doing, and whether or not something new that I'm trying has worked or not. You say that people with lives don't care about how they're doing and just want to come on for the story without having to care about their DPS? Guess what. I put in too much dam effort to carry your sorry *** through content. TL;DR I strive to do good in all aspects of my life, be it at work or at home. I feel sorry for you for being so horrible at life that you can't even do well in a game. Stop trying to ruin it for the rest of us that want to continually improve in EVERYTHING that we do.
