First, Merc DPS was too high since HSM was doing too much damage because of the HS stacking between Mercs. It wasn't nerfed, it was fixed. There's a difference. Second, "Marauder".

Only 2 things I would change about the system. 1) Make the chance to learn schematic on RE 100%. I don't mind the augment on crit chance, but RE'ing Black Hole pieces for nothing is depressing. 2) Make the chance to learn schematic on RE 100%. This really isn't something that Bioware can fix. If you need more people, then recruit more. Server mergers aren't going to stop people from leaving your runs if you wipe. Server mergers aren't going to make good players want to join your runs. Server mergers aren't going to give people incentives to join your guild. And the list goes on. This is your problem, so you need to fix it. Or look for another Guild to join if your GM has vanished. Edit: On the note of joining another Guild, that's what you and your Guild mates should just do. There's guaranteed to be plenty of smaller Guilds out there trying to man up for OP's. If that's not what you want to do, then you need to suck it up, roll with the punches, and stop coming to the forums expecting Bioware to fix your problems for you.

At level 28, just stack power if you manage to find it. Not that it really matters though. But anyways, the reason behind this, is that every level you gain, your crit chance (chance, not rating) will decrease, while your bonus damage won't with stacking power.

Am I the only one noticing something wrong with this? You stripped the implants from Ashara, a companion who wears strength gear, and gave them to Xalek, who wears willpower? If you've been giving Ashara willpower gear, no wonder she's been useless to you.... Or if you're giving strength implants to Xalek, you're still doing it wrong.

When you start Corellia. So you get one planets use out of him for storyline/quests.

PvE or PvP? If for PvE, the only real answer that you could be given on this is that Mercs were doing way too much damage due to the way HSM and HS were stacking with other Mercs, which was not intended. Since there were no parsers at the time, there really wasn't a way other than the Tribunal to be able to see exactly where Marauders and OP's were at If for PvP, well Mercs are more often than not topping kills and dmg in pretty much every WZ I see, and I nearly wanna give up anytime I see an operative. Look, just play what you want, because classes always change in MMO's so there's no need to get worked up over it.

Well I'm simply a raider. I keep saying that we need to go do some of the Nightmare bosses, but apparently wiping to Kephess SM hoping to down him and get gear from that is more important.

Bolded is what my Guild doesn't do. And my low pop server is full of Guilds as it is, so leaving for another would more than likely entail me getting benched hoping for a raid spot to show up. That, and being a Marauder, there's already plenty of us to go around. Le sigh.

Well, pray that you learn the pattern anyways. Just RE'd my new Black Hole implant, and didn't learn the schematic. So, a week and a half of collecting commendations to end up staying at the same DPS. Wonderful.

No, they didn't make this feature retro-active. It's only for Campaign and War hero sets that this will work for. Sorry, didn't explain well enough in my last response.

It's intended. The armorings are what carries the set bonuses, not the shells.

Well here's a problem for a few of us. Take my situation for example. Right now, my Guild is still doing story mode Denova. Granted, I hope that changes on Tuesday, but we'll see. However in the mean time we're doing story mode, so the only Black Hole gear we're getting at the moment is through commendations. I'm a Marauder, and I'm a Biochem. So there's a few problems with that. The first, is that I have to rely on someone else to RE the pieces that I need. The second, is for them to do that I would need them to spend their commendations to buy something I need. The third, is that if the first two requirements I need are fulfilled, it's not even a 100% chance that they'll learn the schematic for the piece I need. So unfortunately, for me, a PvE'er, I'm stuck with having to PvP for pieces that I need so I can min/max to carry the other people that're holding us back form hard modes.
