  1. Possible, but to my knowledge he was removed because of the complaints about his RNG issues. There are a very large amount of equipment sets that you can see in your retired achievements section of your achievement panel. They are the last remnants of how set bonuses worked in game when they were released and that is no longer the system that the SWTOR team wants to use. If you are like me and were not around when those were able to be aquired in game as part of the looting and currency system, but you wanted to collect the equipment sets listed there, Kai Zykken was the only way to get them. *With the exception of the Final Breath set which can be purchased on Onderon (so Steve doesn't jump on me) He also sold the 4 recipes for 4 of the crafted sets from those achievement as well as the tactical recipes from another set of achievements. You had to give him 1000 tech frags + 500,000 credits per piece of equipment and you would get a random piece of gear from all of those sets based off of your current spec and loot setting. We were told by the dev team that they were coded so that you would not get any duplicates...and you would always get a Taskmaster Chestguard is you had reached all of the possible pieces on that character. Any of us who went through that process can tell you that that statement was not accurate. You had to do some weird things to get some of the set's final pieces to actually drop for you. It became a less than pleasant experience for some. I actually enjoyed working on it. I believe the backlash from the community made them completely rework that entire structure and that included removing Kai and replaceing him with a droid. On your first interaction with the droid, you will actually get a 1-time cut scene about the fact that Kai has departed and there are some funny references about his "products" if you choose certain dialogue choices. I made a graphic of the Kai Zykken 1.0 process from start to finish and you can see it here:
  2. I just checked something and I'm pretty sure this is the cause: There were places in strongholds that had identical overlapping hooks. I noticed this on Alderaan when I could not get a decoration picked up after I placed it down. If you placed something on one of those hooks, the other would then become the dominant hook and it would be the exact same hook so there was not any way to get to the decoration on the original hook you placed it down on...unless you changed the layout and made them different. I didn't know this until later when I was testing to see if it would happen again. I think the only way I fixed it at the time was by logging onto a different character and it reverted back to the original hook on top with the decoration. Here is what I found on Alderaan. One of the medium hooks right outside the entrance to the palace had an identical medium hook on top of it. Here it is: this was taken in January. I changed one of the medium hooks to 4 small hooks and you can still see that there is still a medium hook underneath it. I just checked and took this screen shot and the 2nd hook is gone. I'm betting you had something placed there and it was picked up when they removed the dominant hook. I'm guessing this happened in the other strongholds as well. Hopefully that answers your question. ❤️
  3. When I came back to the game in 2022, this was one of my first challenges I gave myself: complete every space mission in the game and all of their bonuses. It was a quite the challenge for me at the time, but has since become easier. How are your PC specs?...if you're on an outdated machine, that might be part of your problem. With a fully upgraded ship, I had a heck of a time beating some of them and also completeing the bonus missions when I was on an old rig. When I upgraded my PC there was a huge difference. It seemed like the frame rate was also being tracked by the game and the on-rails inputs. With the same exact character with the same ship, on my new rig I could suddenly take out things with my guns instead of only missles. I was seeing many more shots come from my ship and comparing my older rig to it, it felt like I was getting 50% or less of my shots on it. If you're trying them, someone already mentioned some of these but here are my observations: You have to know and understand each course and timing your EMP Blast (4 minute cooldown) and Electromagnetic Warfare Pod (2.5 minute cooldown) are essential to not only accomplishing some of the objectives, but also surviving some of the massive incoming damage spikes. If you're just trying to complete it, there are pretty clear spots where those should be used. If you can't destroy something, you should try and EMP blast it when you pass by it. You hit everything in a radius, not just what you are looking at on the screen. If you are constantly dying at a certain point, use your electronic warfare pod in that window of damage. Once you do that, look at your cooldown and mission timers and see if you could have used either of them earlier in the mission and had them back up and ready by the time you needed them. For me, completing some of the bonus objectives meant I needed to most likely use them in different places than I would to just complete the mission at it's base. If the mission is longer than 4 minutes, you should aim to use an EMP right at the start if there are big groups or large targets near you. You absolutely need to be utilizing your power conversion module. It should never be set to neutral. It's either set to blaster mode or shield mode at all times. Don't shoot when you are in shield mode and don't keep it in blaster mode when you are taking a huge damage spike. Learn to take your finger off of your mouse and stop firing when you don't need to be and regen any bit of shields you can. Use missles when you are regening shields to accomplish some of your lost dps. Use your space bar. It's essentially a dodge. I don't think you get i-frames from it, but it can help you avoid some of the shots when tons of ships are firing at you. Go all out on any elite ships that start engaging you and get them out of the way as soon as possible. They hurt, have a lot of HP, and usually a small guantlet that goes with them while they engage you. But, once you are able to take them out quickly, you'll usually have a large window to regen shields and focus on the next target in a relatively damage free gauntlet section. I hope you find more success on your next attempts.

  5. Elitism in this game, to me, is looking down on others who haven't cleared the content that you've cleared and judging them with your nose in the air and you're only advice: "learn how to play and be better" Almost every response in here has been constructive and has offered solutions and tactics so that the o.p. can actually succeed, learn, and grow from the encounter that's causing them to not be able to progress further. Most of the people I encounter and play with actually enjoy teaching and helping others learn and experience content that has eluded them so I don't really appreciate you derailing this thread and throwing that word around when most here were just trying to help.
  6. It is very possible to beat all of the bosses in this mission and you don't really need Z0-0M to do it. Found this out the hard way when I did the mission for the first time on a darkside character. Your choices matter at the end of the mission and I made a choice that resulted in me not having Z0-0M available as a companion on mission completion...forever. This choice also leaves you with Z0-0M's pistol in your inventory because she won't ever be needing it moving forward. I thought to myself "Oh, wait a minute, I didn't want that to happen" so I restarted the mission and tried to do it again and make a different choice. (I didn't understand how chapters work at that point because I had been gone for so long) Upon mission start, Z0-0M has no weapon equipped and you cannot modify that companion in any way so you are stuck with a weaponless Z0-0M who's only ability they can use is a very small basic attack heal (think kolto shot) every few seconds. That's it. It was a challenge, but I finished the mission. If you are struggling with a fully functional Z0-0M at your side. then I'm guessing you are not quite understanding how the mechanics work in this game or are deliberately ignoring them. Move, use corners and objects to line-of-sight bosses so you interrupt their casts, and take advantage of all of the fine print of HK's abilities that are listed when you mouse over them. HK's has plenty of instant cast abilities so you don't ever really need to stand still. I don't think I ever used that long cast assassinate ability unless I used it as an opener. You can do it.

  8. Well if you'd like a laugh: if you still have it in your collections, grab another copy and preview the belt against any other outfits that are non galactic season and non PVP season. Especially on a female character. It is comical where that belt falls... and doesn't fall. Our normal belt position: Our Imperial Lieutenant's Belt position: I understand why the belt is like that, they are making the new sets have tons of layers and actual fabric bulk so it needs to be on top of all of that...but I still think it's amusing.
  9. If he is not showing up in your companions tab, but zoom is, I would suggest sending a ticket. I also encountered this issue and I sent in a ticket and they added HK-55 to my available companions.
  10. Pants: (you'll need to mess with the dye to replicate it) can be found on Balmorra or Correlia from the specialty vendor. You want the smuggler ones. Gloves: I think they are the Force Sentinel republic side gloves.
  11. That sucks, but through the entire season you didn't realize there is a weekly cap? There is a weekly cap on every reputation in the game and we all have to plan accordingly around it. It doesn't sound like you did. Through manipulation you can turn in small rep items to get yourself right at the cusp and then use a big one to extend over the cap if you use it last. Make sure you are paying attention next time to the math if you are going to cut it close. I'm sorry you didn't complete the season though.
  12. Okay, I'll respond to this by saying that my initial response was after reading a whole bunch of Broadsword flaming that was going on in regards to the lockout passing issue. People were being flat out rude and talking "at" people with no regards that an actual human would be seeing it. That goes in general for a lot of issues within these forums: a whole bunch of entitlement combined with a poor attitude and poor emotional intelligence. A great descriptor that most people would understand is "our forums are full of Karens" Here's an example: Does that really apply to the dialogue in this current thread? Not so much. So I apologize if my post was misdirected here... I was just coming off of reading things like that. Now, in regards to what I did say. If you don't think the 2nd largest video game company in the world having a massive developer lay off is going to cause a lot of disruption in gaming workplaces (both large and small) then I would ask you to consider the following questions that might be brough up in the work place: Is microsoft setting a new trend and is our company going to follow suit? If we do, am I going to be one of the ones who gets booted? Are the people that were fired more talented than I am and would I be replaced if they applied for my job? Hypothetical questions, but enough to put some people in a much scarier position than they were in prior to all of those lay offs. Let's not forget that the entire studio had it's world turned upside down when Broadsword took over. There are human elements in all of these things and they shouldn't be disregarded with an eyeroll. "It's their job" or "I paid for this" are not helpful or constructive. They know what their jobs are, they are working as hard as they want to, and if you want more and are not getting what you want from your sub, the only one to be upset with is the person continuing to buy it and expecting different results. (insanity, anyone?) If you can only focus on the negative, you are not the type of consumer most places are concerned about or want to cater to... especially if you don't even have the common decency to speak to a stranger like they are an actual person. We ask for communication...would you want to engage with some of the people who play this game after some of the stuff that has been said by the player base? I would not. Again, this is the wrong thread for this, but I hope you can understand my viewpoint. I don't like seeing people bullied and that happens more often than it should in this game. You don't have to agree, but if you do, this is a perfect time to send a developer a message and (1) introduce yourself because that's polite and (2) engage them in a conversation if there's something that is important to you (3) just let them know what you appreciate about the game and the work that they do. Treat them the way you'd want to be treated. I do this regularly and they always respond. Every time. You have lots of choices you get to make in life... please don't be a Karen when you make them. ~Gay~
