  1. It's not 1.7 and it's more propaganda. That's what this game is - hype, marketing, and propaganda. The George Lucas way.
  2. Haha bubble. That's great. And when bubble is down, we're dead in 5 seconds. Worst class to play in a WZ, sorc/sage.
  3. Wow it really is uninspiring isn't it? I'm not excited about any of it except for the new raid and pvp zone. Probably get tired of the pvp zone in a couple days though.
  4. They don't have 1.7 million playing - read the CEO's words in the transcript. It's not 1.7 million.
  5. Every NPC should be able to be targeted, AND you should be able to attack them.
  6. Easy is one problem - how about some wandering mobs? I had a quest to find a Courier droid - guess what he was standing next to a wall off the walking path in the starting area of Coruscant. I mean really - he's just standing there still waiting for the quest. Have the guy move around, make me go find him. Have him on a randomized path moving around interacting with other NPC's doing his deliveries. Just seeing a courier droid standing there motionless really hit home about how this game feels soulless.
  7. From the other side as a sorc, I just want a plain black robe. That's it. But no, they spent millions on artists and designs, and we're stuck with the crap they made.
  8. Right, and he didn't say it was 1.7 million.
  9. There aren't 1.7 million subscribers.
  10. No I don't see that he's lying. He said he defines a recurring subscriber as someone with a credit card or game card on file. I had to put mine on file just to get the free 30 days like everyone else.
  11. I read the transcript and what the guy had to say. Why would you ignore his words and only focus on his (or his secretaries) power point presentation slide? In the transcript he said only HALF of the 1.7 million triggered their 30 day point and became active subscribers. He even tells you that you didn't understand what they said here: So what I think a lot of people have misunderstood is we said we had 1.7 million subscribers on the last call, which was about a month ago. What that was about was the fact that only about – just about half that number had triggered through their 30-day point and become active subscribers, our definition of recurring subscribers. Then he says half of that total was still in the 30 day trial period. And after that he says the "majority" of the 1.7 have become "recurring subscribers" which he defines as anyone with a credit card or game card on file. I think it's clear that no one really knows yet what the active numbers are.
  12. I'll go by the transcript - he gets a bit fuzzy about numbers there but in the Q&A he explains recurring subscribers, and he certainly doesn't state 1.7 million active anywhere in the transcript.
  13. Here is how he, Riccitiell, defines "recurring subscriber": A recurring means that they've paid for and committed to more time beyond the initial trial period. So, it means they did one of two things. They gave us a credit card, which is now in our system, or they went into a retailer and gave cash to buy cards to put those in the system. Nowhere in the transcript does it say there are 1.7 million ACTIVE subscribers.
  14. Where in the transcript does he say they have "more than 1.7 million active subscribers"? He doesn't, he says they have less than that.
  15. The transcript does not support the 1.7 number. He says the "vast majority" of the 1.7 are "recurring subscribers". The real figure, the actual number, is still not known.
  16. Happens on knockbacks and stuns one in a while, probably for every player.
  17. Why is the article talking about the expansion into the Asia-Pacific region later this month?
  18. Those are Huttball WZ quitters and are doomed to spend eternity down there
  19. I agree about survivability - it should be boosted for sorc/sage.
  20. I'm not all that impressed, but that 1.2 video is really well done propaganda that will get people excited.
  21. God this game could be so cool - I'd spend even more time in it if I felt like I was in a Star Wars Universe. Sadly it feels cartoonish and a ripoff of a formula that's had success. Just so disappointed.
