  1. What strategy do you suggest for Warzone or Starfighter queues? (I have no idea what event queues are; I haven't even progressed past the Revan chapters yet.) I've been queuing for 2-3 days now and not a single game.
  2. Dear Bioware, This video and the potential game improvements within comes about two weeks too late for me.
  3. This is about correct for my playing time. I have all but one character slot used, and two of those are level 50. I log every character each day for the PvP daily/weekly then quit playing. It takes about four to six hours to complete.
  4. While I wait for warzone queues, voidstar speeder rides, and Ilum kills, I've been reading the media reviews and watching gameplay video of the Guild Wars 2 closed beta now that the media are invited.
  5. I'm seriously considering an update to my gunslinger's RP background. Now that he wears a cape and Julia-Roberts-Pretty-Woman-****** thigh-high boots, I'm thinking about roleplaying him as "Captain Classless" or "Prince Pimp" or "Super Sleazebag" or something more fitting the ridiculous outfit he's forced to wear now that's he's level 50. I really have no faith in what the yellow type says above. Customization in this game - from character selection choices to outfits - is really, really lacking in comparison to the man hours put into developing this game.
  6. Casual players will sit behind the computer and play the game in whatever attire is comfortable to them. Hardcore players usually play in leather bondage-type outfits, like the Gimp.
  7. My only concern is a four-man guild group that queues into a PUG warzone, Inspects the other players while they wait for the warzone to start, then kick whoever they think is not "geared" appropriately.
  8. HUTTBALL can be fixed by including a death match mechanic. Basically, any player that dies does not respawn until 1) all the players on one side dies, or 2) a team scores. Once either of those happen then the teams reset back in spawn and they go again. The game ends when the first team scores two points. That way you can have your Huttballers play towards the objective, and your kill-counters can do their thing. Hopefully everyone will be happy.
  9. Voidstar has issues with respawn timing for defenders, but I have not encountered this particular issue.
  10. If you're going to pull something from Simutronics, Bioware should have copied DragonRealms. Combat (and socialization, for that matter) is much better in that game.
  11. Curious, at what angle do positioning abilities trigger in this game? Would a defender strafing at 90 degrees allow an aggressor to trigger her positioning abilities?
  12. Are there any prospects for mini games? Background: For example, the casinos in Nar Shadda are dead! These would be a great place to include casino-style games that could attract people, thus we can have a roleplaying community on our roleplaying server! The Devs could make the casino games clickable which would start up the mini game. Another place for a mini game could be the Dejarik game table on the personal starships. I have seen a clickable casino table on the Esseles and have to wonder if this idea wasn't originally planned!
  13. If power is given to the players to "kick" non-participants, then Bioware can remove the idle kick system completely. Players can tell who is particpating within warzones by looking at players' positions on the mini map, and also by observing them participate in the battle, too. An aside: Warzone scoring needs to change, or at least less importance needs to be given to medals, if any at all. Rewards for medals should never out-do rewards for a victory. The metrics upon which the medal system gives rewards has nothing to do with achieving victory within a warzone. In fact, one could argue that DPS and Kills have a detrimental effect in some cases (such as causing unneeded respawns while trying to score in Huttball or damaging someone out of CC while trying to capture a node in the other two.), and healing numbers can also be inflated (I've seen sages reduce their health somehow to nothing while guarding nodes in Alderaan, healing up completely, then repeating the cycle.) I don't know how many times I've seen players boast their DPS, kill or healing numbers after getting whiped by the other team in overall objectives. These metrics do not measure a player's contribution to the overall objectives at all. If anything, it contributes to the "lone wolf" attitude that pervades warzones.
