It's a fairly safe assumption if you think about it logically. For many classes (if not most classes) having a permanent house would be immersion breaking. My ship has a bed, storage for personal items and a droid who cooks my meals. As a galactic hero cruising around from one hot-spot to the next, my ship is my home. That said, the lack of a shower and toilet can be an inconvenience.

There are a lot of bugs in this game that while annoying, I can put up with while Bioware takes their sweet time and fixes. But the sound bugs have pushed me well beyond my tolerance level. No Bioware, it is not my sound drivers, it's your damn spaghetti code.

+1 for the OP's suggestion (either one of them). With the legacy system encouraging people to roll alts/crafters/gatherers from both factions, not being able to friend them for mailing purposes seems like an oversight.

I'm completely over this as well. It was a cool idea, but now it's simply become an annoyance for many people. BW need to give us the option to opt out, and they need to do it soon.

MT would kill this game IMO for two main reasons: SWTOR is set a long time ago in a galaxy far far away. It's space fantasy and part of it's appeal is that it's so far removed from someone's real life. I don't want how much money I earn in real life to have any bearing on my success, power, or even convenience in the game world. The second reason is that MMO's rely on always having goals to aspire to. As soon as one achieves all of their goals, they'll get bored and inevitably leave. If BW introduced MT, the temptation for me to purchase them would be too great to resist. But at the same time I would be destroying a huge part of my gaming experience. I'm reasonably confident BW are smart enough not to do this, right BW?

I check Steam every other day for what new stuff they have on offer, and it doesn't take much to make me hit the purchase button. I've bought an absolute ton of games off Steam in the past 12 months, more than I'd care to admit. On the other hand I almost never look at Origin, and would certainly never make a impulse purchase. I've bought two games off Origin in the past 12 months; Battlefield 3 and Mass Effect 3 (SWTOR I bought from Amazon). The next game I'll be buying is SimCity 5 in 2013 So yes, I will still buy EA games if they're exclusive to Origin, but only if I absolutely must have them. And it's not because of some principled boycott, is just not convenient. Steam is a sophisticated, reliable and mature platform, and they have got to where they are by providing a service that makes buying and maintaining games super easy. I throw money around in that place like it's Christmas, and I have a lot of friends who do the same. Over time Steam has gotten to know the kind of games I like and doesn't bother showing me crap like "The Sims 3 Katy Perry's Sweet Treats". Sorry EA, but your platform isn't even in the same league as Steam. Even if you manage to catch up in terms of features/service, the horse bolted long ago.

There are quite a few cases here where I tend to think well that sucks, but them's the rules. But I think any reasonable person would look at your situation and agree that's just bureaucracy for bureaucracy sake. It's not a technological restriction because we know they are doing some transfers manually. Come on Bioware, give this guy a break will you?
