  1. Why has someone let you get near their computer?
  2. "Which is part of what makes MMOs so appealing"... to YOU, maybe. To most of us, being able to play with literally hundreds of other people is what makes MMOs so appealing. Massively Multi-player Online... The very definition of "MMO" is to have many, many other players around you playing in the same virtual world. Something being "more MMO-like" would be something that facilitated interaction with other players within the game, not something that allows you to circumvent human interaction (like the GTN does). So after all that, not only is your original statement, the one I commented on in the first place, about tradable BCA being a step towards that, completely absurd, but you've proven yourself a confrontational doofus who just wants to throw a tantrum and argue even if it means making up a view for somebody else and then arguing against said made-up view... in case you STILL haven't looked up "strawman arguement". Good day, goon.
  3. I see you didn't look up the definition of "strawman argument." You really should have. It would have saved you from looking like a fool. I *did not* say "raiders making money off raiding (something they usually complain about not being able to do) while granting hardcore crafters something they need but are normally not able to acquire unless doing something they can't or don't want to do is somehow bad." Nowhere, nohow, not once did I say anything even close. Please quote me if you don't agree. Pointing out that grouping is more social than interacting with the GTN is it's own point, irrespective of your opinion that the game "forcing" somebody to group to get certain items isn't ideal or anyone else's opinion that it is. What I will point out to you is that if you are playing a game solely to craft, and the crafting system is complete garbage as you claim TOR's is... you're wasting your money.
  4. It wouldn't promote anything. If you're gonna let the need to use the mail system stop you from crafting with alts, then you don't want to do it very badly anyway.
  5. First off, Google "straw man argument", because that's what we have here. I didn't say anything at all about what is right or wrong about the current system. I simply pointed out the stupidity of your assessment that making Biometric Crystal Alloy tradable is somehow more MMO-like than requiring grouping to complete a goal. You don't have to raid to get Biometric Crystal Alloy. It's available in every hard-mode FP, including Black Talon, which is easy enough to 2-man with companions. If you don't want to do any PvE content at all at 50, including FP's, then you don't need Biometric Crystal Alloy anyway. It isn't required for RPing in the cantina. And lol at "have you played an MMO other than WoW for longer than a few days?" I point out how ridiculous your statement is and you try to insult me by calling me a WoW-tard. I've likely been playing MMOs since they were text-based, little girl. Try again.
  6. So requiring you to group with other people to obtain them because they're BoP and drop in hard-mode FP's and Ops... that didn't say "MMO" to you? But allowing you to buy them from other people on the GTN and never have to actually interact or play with another human... that's "taking a step into the 'MMO' part" of the game? Wow.
  7. Where do you get that there will be less medpacks used? In PvP? Nope. You drop combat every couple minutes anyway, whether it's because you died or because the person you were attacking died, and that's all it takes for your medpack to be available again. PvE? Sure, now the tank can't use more than one medpack per fight. That might be, oh, 2-3 less per boss for him. How many other members of the raid use more than 1 medpack in a fight? If you're using your medpacks that often, you're doing something wrong. Saying this is a nerf to biochem is like Bioware deciding armor values are a little too high and reducing it on all gear and everybody calling it a nerf to synthweaving/armormech.
  8. They did the exact same thing with consumables in WoW, and people freaked out the exact same way. Then it all played out and it didn't actually hurt anything. As a biochemist, battlemaster, AND nightmare-mode op tank, I'm not concerned about this at all.
  9. Uh, this isn't really a nerf to biochem. It's a nerf to everybody who uses medpacks... which is pretty much everybody. But it's barely a nerf anyway. Think about it. How often do you stay in combat in PvP enough to use 2 medpacks in the same skirmish? And in PvE, they're going to balance content around knowing you are only able to use one medpack per boss fight. WoW did this exact thing, and it ended up being a blessing in disguise because you ultimately spent quite a bit less money on consumables in the long run.
  10. Technically, if your crew is finishing missions more quickly, it IS raising your profit/day provided you're constantly sending them out as soon as they return. So yes, it does help.
  11. So you're whining about something of which you know zero specifics? Good form.
  12. To do any content, you need a certain amount of stats from gear. Once you have the stats to do the content available to you, there's literally zero benefit to raising your stats outside of "hey, I have higher stats now." If you never do Operations, why would you need Operation-level stats on your gear?
  13. Good. All you do is whine on the forums anyway.
  14. Wow, there sure are a lot of crybabies who post think throwing an "/unsubbed WAAAAHH" tantrum is how you communicate your displeasure about things. Kinda makes you wonder if they throw themselves on the ground and flail around when they don't get what they want in real life.
  15. People don't understand that you want the simplest fix possible in order to best avoid breaking other things. The OP failed at that.
  16. Variety? There is no such thing as variety in game play in regards to a dps rotation. You have optimal, and you have everything else. If you're willing to give up dps for "variety" you can give yourself variety and take a dps hit right now, before the nerf, by just refusing to spam Tracer Missile.
  17. I do not think this word means what you think it means.
  18. Good thing it's so easy to drop one crew skill and have another crew skill at 400 in about 2 days.
  19. This has to be a troll. Oh, and Did some people have it and not even know they had it?
  20. Uh, maybe you haven't been paying attention, but Bioware has already admitted Ilum didn't work in its original design so they're redesigning it.
  21. I'm surprised this took 4 pages to be said. Yes, if someone is better at a game than another person, it must be because they have no life. MUST be.
  22. How does it feel to suck at gaming? It must sting pretty bad.
  23. I thought pvpers pvped because they enjoy pvp. Why would you just stop pvping once you attained the best gear you could get? Why would you not WANT to continue pvping and, you know, enjoying the fruits of your labors? Your valor rank going up past 60 would just happen as a biproduct of you doing what you enjoy doing. If you don't enjoy pvp... why are you doing it at all? What's the point of grinding for the gear if it's just going to rot while you play an alt?
